  It fails to open the disc on the s-fs-1-OS data store. We know not if the other drive has been opened successfully. When opening a disk on the data converter store tries to create a temporary file in tmpdir. Error code 3 means "path not found" and it is reported when for some reason the temporary directory could not be created. It should resemble vmount-temp\vmware-logX under the temp directory curent. It could be related to the permissions of the user - try to do the same thing when you connect with a local administrator on the computer where the Converter server is installed and also try to turn off UAC if it is on.

  1. have you checked if the cables are connected properly?

  2 what is an internal hard drive or external?

  3 have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

   

  The most common cause of a non-accessible i/o error is a disconnected cable. When the computer tries to access a device, and it's no response after several tests, it will generate this error. Another common cause is when a program tries to access a file that has been removed or eliminated.

   

  Disconnected Hard Drive/cable misconfiguration

   

  Internal hard drives require a specific set up. IDE hard disks can have only one master.
