  Hello everyone,

  I have a question regarding the change of the use of the database for the processing of the result. My environment is 2014 Teststand, LabView 2014.

  I need to be able to change the database used to store the result data programmatically. I use the simple example of the user interface provided by TestStand as a starting point to build the user interface. As I do this is by creating a global variable of station (StationGlobals.DBName) in the TestStand. The user can select its database via a combo box in the user interface. When users perform a sequence, Teststand asked to the user interface, the name of the database selected by the user (using UIMessage).

  It does not work like I wanted. It is better described the symptom using the following use cases:

  1. start the user interface

  2. choose a database (DB - A)

  3. run a sequence

  4. check the result data tables in DB - A. This works.

  5. choose another database (DB - B)

  6. run the same sequence

  7. check the result data tables in DB - B. They are not DB - B.

  8. check the result data tables in DB - A. They are in DB - A.

  It seems that the global variable of the station can be passed to the configuration database before you start to execute any order. The next event in the sequence, it does not take effect more.

  I wonder if I need to change a reminder to operate correctly.

  No idea why it behaves in this way? Here is a screenshot of my setup of database:

  apparently in my case, when I change the database between runs, I can simply turn off the option "Share Data Link between executions" in the result of treatment-> database option and it will work. Thanks for your suggestions.

  Have upgraded to Windows 8 and now I am unable to open accounts Sage Instant 2012.  Tried to run in compatibility mode, re-setup of database.  However, I still get the same error.

  Unable to save the data source.

  Unable to save the expression library.

  Any advice would be appreciated.

  My solution is to install Sage on another laptop running XP and copy on the company data file.  I'm a little disappointed, but Sage Tech have been very useful.

  In the process of seting up to its instance named "HRCS90" using opt/PT8.53/setup/PsMpDbInstall/setup.sh database, there is a step like below:

  Select Demo or system, the next step "select PeopleSoft Applications" has only a single element:

  (1) PeopleSoft HRCS Demo Database - US English.

  
  When set up "HRCS90" with SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003, there is another element: PeopleSoft HRCS Database - English American.

  I need not demo database. I need HRCS database only because the demo database is much more disk space.

  The document "PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Campus Solutions 9.0 revision 5 Installation Guide" does not specify the detailed process to implement an instance of database HRCS.
  I can't find other documents from PeopleSoft to set up an instance of database HRCS.

  I would use basic Oracle directories separated. But IMO the best practice is not installed on the same computer (logic) at all. Why?

  -In production environments, they tend to be separated. If you are developing with the two (or in this case, all three) rows together in a single machine, it is possible to implement what, in your architecture of layer 1 will work but won't work in architecture 3 - third real. Writing a file using utl_file and its reading then subsequently with text_io for example (an example of stupid of course, but just to make a point). If you're separating things in the first place these defects cannot be done in the first place.
  -sooner or later, another developer will make use of your database and quickly your development machine will become a server.

  That's why I like virtualization;). I would setup the database in a virtual machine.

  Your RDBMS 10.2 should be 10.2.0.4 or 10.2.0.5 use DG4ODBC.

  Marcin,
  The problem is that you always use the executable "hsodbc' in the listener.ora but in 11.2, that it has been replaced by the database for ODBC (DG4ODBC) gateway that uses the executable"dg4odbc.
  Also, if your Windows 2008 R2 64-bit so you need drivers ODBC 64-bit.

  I followed following steps to reach higher.
  
  1. sql server installed easysoft odbc driver
  2 configured odbc.ini with information on sql server.
  3. create initSQLSERVER.ora and placed under < host ora >/hs/admin
  4 created earpiece and tns name
  5 created db link
  
  I am able to query MS SQl, oracle, but any column defined as nvarchar or ntext server tables are not displayed.
  
  Everyone has this problem and have the solution?

  I think you have misunderstood my last update.
  Patch 5965763 is not a patch to install DG4ODBC in the RDBMS 10.2. It's only a patch that allows to 10.2.0.3, 10.2.0.4 (including 5965763) or + 5965763 to use the gateways of 11 g that are installed in separate directories of ORACLE_HOME.
  You can not just change the program in a listener of 10,2-dg4odbc.
  Have you installed the software DG4ODBC in another new ORACLE_HOME of the 10.2 install?
  If so, you should start the listener of this ORACLE_HOME and not the ORACLE_HOME 10.2 DG4ODBC.

  After a few tests: there seems to be a "hard edge" of 1000 lines that comes with the different type of data (so if you put 2000 lines in the XML file, you will get also only 1000 rear lines)

  -Are there ways to recover "Head" + "Line" of the elements in a relational structure (even if there are more than 1000 lines)?

  The incorrect behavior on XML binary is probably due to bug 9194655. This problem has been fixed in 11.2.0.1.

  Hello Experts!

  First of all, until I opened this topic I tried to search for similar positions that can hold at least part of the necessary information for me. This topic is that most related to the architecture of the whole system in the sense of the application that contains a part of database (oracle with data models database), the operational part (unix scripts called from the web interface), weblogic server where MS Java application runs and the last part is LDAP Setup for supported LDAP grups.

  Currently confirmed architecture is for me unacceptable from the point of view of dorsal because everything would be installed on the same physical server (physical machine). From my point of view, there should be at least 3 physical separate servers:

  (1) Server database where the Oracle database is installed (say ommit backup and disaster at this stage recovery)

  (2) operation of servers shared between several applications to manage operational tasks and application configurations

  (3) separate server for Weblogic server, the LDAP server and Java application is

  Given that 2 points are obvious to me and I provided them with really simplified form then 3. is not entirely clear to me mainly due to the fact that I am the architect of solution for datawarehausing, not for applications based on J2EE.  Under the following link:

  I'm sorry for the confusion.

  I meant "General guidelines of architecture of say that you should keep the boxes", for example: LDAP must be in another box of WLS, also database must be in a different area, this isn't really something related to Oracle products, it is only related to the definitions of architecture.

  WebLogic Server at the end being that a java application is running in the virtual machine JAVA, WLS should run in the same box as the JVM as it comes to a unit in terms of functionality.

  Meanwhile, I solved the problem as follows: I searched "dreamweaver" everywhere one deleted all that I could find. Then I googled "CS6" and did the same. I guess that there are around 20 or more places where I deleted files or directories. Suddenly, installation has not prevented, to 2%, what he has always done before and the installation was a success :-) It cost me more than 4 hours to understand this, and I have found a trick somewhere really help. Adobe itself I could not contact because I couldn't find an email address or a phone number - poor support for such expensive software. For luck, I didn't deliver something just in time. Missing a useful support, it's an attitude really poor, poor Adobe... I think that I do not buy not more products Adobe - it could cost too much of my time... :-(
