Tried to download this file as the old XP Progam need older version of help. Clicking validation step validation program downloaded but the performance of the program received message "Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool is no longer supported to download the latest version and ensure accurate system clock. I have Windows 7 64-bit and the Support Center Microsoft says it should work. What should I do?
What browser do you use to download and run any validation? Even if you're a machine 64-bit by default IE 8 or 9 should be the 32-bit version. This is the version that runs on 64-bit computers by default. If you use this version, then the problems would disappear.

For various reasons I didn't want to be on the edge of bleeding with Win 8, so I wiped the HARD drive and installed a new version of Win 7 ultimate 64-bit (SP1 active and w and all the important courses updates installed).
This copy of Windows 7 was bought through a group with an Australian University license and came with a product key, but no certificate of authenticity. And before I forget, I have a 256GB SSD installed and where Windows 7 is installed. I also have the McAfee Security Center (11,6 V).
As part of my installation of productivity software I wanted to install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft) and in the context of that, the lack of site MS to validate windows.
So I ran the validation tool and that's when I get the dreaded error on the tool of validation no longer supported.
Then, I searched and read value of hours of * about this error (more of which are dated before 2013). I tried many, many, many solutions proposed to MS only sources (including using IE 10) does not. However I managed to validate Windows using this page the problem is that no "validation code" is provided when running this test.
The validation code is required to download XP mode. So I'm back to where I started. Any help would be appreciated.
Additional information: Java version 7.5 installed.

new information just been was discovered on this issue. Here's the post-it on the WGA forums:Lately, there are considerable problems with validation in all areas of Microsoft, when you try to download the material that requires validation.
Finally, the Forum Poster Tech Mgr found the cause and a solution!
When you go to a download page such as for Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit), you get to a page
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=14If you click on the continue button on the page, MS currently sends you to the wrong place.
The solution is to change the existing URL by adding 'real validation' instead of 'details' in your URL of the download page
so for the one above.

I have the professional edition of Windows 7 N. This comes without Windows Media Player and must be installed separately. Whenever I download the package (KB968211) I have to go through the validation tool first (GenuineCheck.exe) However, after you run the tool, I get the following message "this version of Windows Genuine Advantage validation tool is no longer supported. Please download the latest version and make sure that your system clock is accurate.
I can't find a newer version

Thank you all for the replies, I realized that I needed to use microsoft explore to download the validation tool. I was using firefox and this is the reason why wasn't not. I'm sorry to have wasted your time. However, he helps the other having the same problem. USE MICROSOFT EXPLORER

Why do we have this type of problem when there is no help available? I was trying to download WinHLP32.exe for Win7 64 bit and was sent to use the WGA validation tool that does not any longer, see below.

When you do anything that requires validation, you MUST use Internet Explorer 32-bit version - not the 64-bit version and not Firsfox/Chrome.

The steps mentioned in the link are:
1. download the updated WGA executable from this link:

2. save the file in the C:\Temp folder.
a. Click Start, click run, typecmdand clickok.
b. in the command prompt, type the command following and press enter:
PsExec-i s c:\Temp\
3. restartthe computer for the changes to take effect.
4. visit the windows update site and check if you are able to download the updates.

Hi, I am trying to install MS Virtual PC on my laptop Windows 7 (Professional Ed). I met at the start of the problems trying to download the VPC file on the MS site as asked me to run Windows Genuine Advantage validation routines and after downloading the exe file, I got the following error message: "this version of the Windows Genuine Advantage tool is no longer supported. Please download the latest version and make sure that your system clock is accurate.
I found a way to get the files downloaded and installed, but every time I run them I get the above message.
Win7 is a newly installed due to a problem of warranty HP version. Installed by HP themselves - registered as active on the details of systems.
