  I meant nothing personal, per my comments of workflow.  I was just trying to do my best to help you avoid this problem in the future and apologize if you took it the wrong way.  I agree with you that he must restore it things automatically (as it does when you use the hibernation), but maybe that can be done (at least not always) because updates may affect items that are open and to update these programs must be closed (which makes saving them more difficult because if they look different after the update) It may not work if we try to restore them unless they can find a way to save ONLY the information and it is a much more difficult task).  This problem does not occur with an accident or an unexpected shutdown (and a complete restoration in cases does not always work as well and completely that we hope - at least I had problems back exactly where I was with all that every time).

My computer won't start. I get a screen asking if I want to start Windows normally or start windows repair.

  Start Windows normally: a screen comes up saying something about checking the disks and it is recommended that you do not stop the disk check.
