  I create a true/false case structure that contains several indicators for each of the cases respectively.  These indicators are displayed simultaneously on the user interface.  Is there a way to have indicators or indicators to replace the other as the other case is active or control must be in the user interface at the same time?

  Is there a reason you want to duplicate the indicators?  The normal practice is to move the indicators outside the structure of the case and the wire coming from each case out through a tunnel.

• Change the colors of the images between monitors while the user interface remains the same

  Hey! Im having a problem where photoshop change colors when I move the window between my monitors, see here: http://sta.sh/04y5s60vf3j is not due to the monitors themselves being different, it does actually change after a few seconds to move inbetween the monitors. The left was callibrated with an elite group of spyder 3 I do not have access to. I applied the file with windows instead of the utility of spyder color management. The second is new, and it is not callibrated by what that is, but instead was done by hand with integrated RGB brightness/contrast/custom settings. Two of them are very close to eachother, so enough for my taste. but when photoshop changes which looks like the image, it is causing problems. Curiously, when I disable calibration of the screen on the left, the image doesn't change color between monitors, but instead always appears as it does on the right. but then they do not match to the top and all the screen looked washed out because it's uncallibrated, so that won't do me any good. Something else interesting to report, is when this image is saved as a. JPG and read with firefox, the image appears exactly as the monitor on the LEFT (which is my primary monitor) despite the monitor left which is the force has changed. does anyone have any suggestions? It also appears that photoviewer windows behaves in the same way, although firefox does not work. Meaning when I open an image in all 3 on the left monitor, they look alike, but when opened on the right monitor, windows photo viewer and photoshop both display the image such as the brighter and redder that firefox works. It's frustrating, because it seems that photoshop changes the image with my measured on my monitor left to match what it looks like on the web, it does. but it does not for the monitor right, or the left is uncallibrated. Another question, I can see with this is even if the user interface is the same shade of gray, the images are different between the monitors because of this change. Does anyone have suggestions?

  What you need to understand, is that Photoshop converts the image data, the document profile for the display profile, independently for each display. It is a managed pipeline standard color display. Windows Photo Viewer does the same thing (but do not have a lot of other applications).

  When you move a picture on the screens, it snaps when you drop; as the new display profile is picked up.

  Calibration is only partly about changing the monitor's response. The second part a profile, which is a complete description of the screen in its calibrated State. Then a conversion of standard profile is performed as he goes to the screen. The profile has a much higher level of accuracy than the single calibration.

  If the image on the web has the stripped document profile, Firefox with default settings does not have this conversion and sends just the unchanged data to display. In other words, it is not color managed. This behavior can be changed, but get your first straight base display profiles. Unless you get a new calibrator it is no that you can do to match these two views.

• deployment of a BPM Application large Oracle with several projects of the user interface

  I'm working on a large application with Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5.0.
  
  I use JDeveoper 11.1.1.5.0 to build the application.
  The application has many tasks user with a lot of the UI (one for each task of the user).
  
  My problem is, whenever I make a small change in the project, I need to deploy this, which includes a master project and five or six projects UI (for now) for tasks of the user.
  As demand grows, I'm sure that this will certainly become a problem.
  
  So my question is if I do this the good sense? or should there be a more effective way?

  Hi Luke
  1. as a general rule, there is NO need to have a user interface project for an individual task. As initiator, approver, reviewer, LegalApprover etc etc, you have like 10 tasks (.task files). You can have just a single project of TaskForms UI and have taskDetails.jspx generated for each of these tasks. This is appropriately.

  2. any Application workflow must have only 2 deployers. Deploy resources are for real Workflow stuff that will have the main BPEL or process, BPM, human tasks etc. Basically, everything that goes into the workflow project. And another official of the deployment is that the REST of things means that the UI TaskForms project and other project support as useful projects, WebServices, EJB projects (if you have Web services). All this will be deployed as a SINGLE EAR.

  Lets take an example JDeveloper IDE point of view.
  1. application Name: SalesOrderApp
  2 workflow project name: SalesProcess (he is a a project jdeveloper project SOA or BPM Project type and has all human tasks, bpels, process bpm, rules etc.).
  3 interface user Project: SalesTaskForms (it is a form generated automatically for the first task you choose. Then for the rest of the tasks you can use this same project, to generate jspx for all others. WORK files. VIEW documents online on how to do it. I'll see if I can compile this list of URLS for you).
  3. support the EJB projects: MyEJBProject1 (some EJB project that connects to some specific to your back-end database project)
  4. support another Service EJB project: MyExtServiceProject1 (as another project EJB that uses data from an external source)
  5. some WebService project: SalesCreditCardValidationWebService (some WebService project to be deployed as. WAR file that performs a service).

  Try to apply the Concepts of SOA for each Service your application needs. Instead of putting all the EJBs and everying in one giant project, try to split their need logically commercial/sage and geenrate separate projects so that they can maintain as it is to other projects and other applications.

  Anyway, coming back, in the example above, you should have deployment just 2: 1 is the JAR file of SCA in the Workflow and another complete of the EAR file.
  (a) for the workflow project, right-click and generate a deployment profile to deploy all the workflow and NOT on the other projects of the user interface.
  (b) for each project individual genereate a profile of deployment such as MyEJBProj1, MyEJBProj2, MyWebService1, etc etc.
  (c) for TaskForms project, generate a deployment as SalesTaskForms profile. It is a WAR file.
  (d) at the level of the Application, create a new profile of deployment of the EAR type and now assemble all the projects in this EAR, with the exception of the Workflow project.

  First of all, you deploy file JAR of SCA of the Workflow. You need to redeploy this again only when you make changes to the workflow, humantasks etc etc.
  Deploy the full blown EAR file that has all the stuff (EJB JARs, TaskForm WARs, WebService wars etc.).

  At any time, you change your code taskforms or redeploy a java, ejb, EAR file.

  You should have a POT and an EAR to deploy at the end of the day. Infact this is how it should go into UAT, and production. They may not have many pots, multiple wars deployed. The reason why we have separated Workflow SCA Jar file is, because the workflow will not change frequently. And also older versions of SOA/BPM (before 11.5 FP) have a huge disadvantage. Whenever we deploy a workflow project, it will make existing processes VITIATED, unless you deploy a different version. This isn't a problem anymore for 11.5 + FP (Feature Pack applied). Therefore, be careful when you redeploy workflow project.

• several monitors, anchored app automatically change screen

  Hello

  I want to describe what looks like a bug - or undocumented - feature I have meet several times.

  I work with 2 monitors (left and right). I use to work mainly on the right monitor, with Mail and Skype on the left.
  I use the Win8 Skype App from the store, anchored on the screen left and Outlook 2010 full screen on the side - so that they share the screen.

  The question is if I activate other apps or passage to the modern user interface to open another application of the RIGHT of the screen (if I have another application to open getting on the upper left corner or activation of the user interface of the bot left corner), Skype is now anchored on the RIGHT screen automatically, forcing me to move back to the left and moved.

  No problem if I have this on the left screen or use the Start button to access the modern user interface. (Start button opens the modern UI on the monitor where the application is grounded - everywhere where I've anchor it)

  There's a config or a workaround or a current patch for it?
  I tend to make the mistake all the time that I'm looking for especially on the right screen. I don't want it to change everything I open the modern user interface to the left or to the right.

  The way he is now, it seems the app moves to some early screen screen is available on. It isn't a work around for this and it seems to work as it should because the app is part of the start screen.

  I have seen this command while searching for answers, but I, I'm not sure that it is a reliable operation.

  Fix. This is an undocumented feature, so not supported by Adobe. This means that it could easily disappear from ExtendScript, or change with a future update without warning. I use it a lot for my own non-public scripts and it works very well as long as you're only dealing with 8 and 16-bit projects. 32 bit breaks the appearance of the image and is unusable. Dan is correct while saving the image in this way might be a backdoor to do what you are wanting. You could also look at a cap screen command line option, but that would of course include each of the user interface and if the user had several monitors, several images to sort, so probably not a good idea.

• downloaded v.21, but do not get new user interface

  I downloaded the latest version several times. I want the new UI, but my browser will not convert to the new user interface. I don't know if there is an option somewhere is going to fix this problem, or what is happening. Any help would be appreciated.

• Adding custom flags to the TestStand UI user interface

  Hello! I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't really find what I am looking for. I have a TestStand sequence that contains a stable loop cycle parts several times. I would like to show a pass fail count on each side on the user interface according to the current state of sequences (real-time). the parties can run 1000 times or more, and the UI should show the count for each + a LED to show if the component is always active.

  What is the best way to do something like that? The mail user interface? If so how do I set up the messages and have a counter for each share value? Each of the parties would have its own unique message?

  Thanks for any help you can give me. If you could provide a quick example.

  Don't know what version of LabVIEW and TestStand, you have, but I threw together a little demo of what you want.  Just run the TopLevel.vi, then open the sequence in the zip file.

• TestStand freezes when calling user interface

  I did a bit of seraching but the problem I have is intermittent for one of the positions that I have found useful. I have a built in CVI user interface that is called the part edit-a type of step in time. When I call the UI for several times now (same step over and over) TestStand eventually freezes. Sometimes I get error messages, most of the time that it just hangs. When she throws and error, it is usually a one .NET. I received this message before the "object reference is not attached to an instance of an object", so that system level exceptions. I can't figure out exactly what is the cause. I posted my code below. If I comment on either of the two sections "BOLD" no error occurs. Also, if I do not change the setting in the user interface between the calls to the user interface I have never it freezes. So he definitley has something to do with the fill/adjustment control of the ring, or even reading the property 'ThisContext.Step.ConfigProperties.ParameterID' of TestStand. If I get more descriptive errors, I will update this post.

  The problem was with this line:

  I shouldn't have been past at the time to write the label that I had previously used temp with functions of API of TS. Who should have caught before posting... but it's been a long day.

  I have a problem which seems to be a bit like this:

  The VI I'm running is a step of edit of a type of step. LabVIEW checks if the property 'Step.Setup.ReadMeasName' exists, fills a listbox with her if she does. An another ListBox with all available measure names will also appear on the user interface. The user has an Add and Remove button to remove the 'ReadMeas' list box measures or add them to it of the listbox 'MeasNames '. Several names may be added/removed according to what is selected when you press the buttons. Once 'Fact' is clicked the VI writes the 'Ref' to the list box "ReadMeas" property to "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName", using a node to set the value of property that is passed the TestStand sequence context. If the property does not exist it creates.

  The only time where I have any problem is when I try to remove items from the property, after it is already initialized (i.e. non-empty). In other words, if I run the VI of teststand, put several names as in "ReadMeas" click on done, again run the VI (already added names appear in the box when the user interface is displayed, LabVIEW reads "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName"), then remove the names. IF "ThisContext.Step.Setup.ReadMeasNames" has opened in the tab 'Variables' step when you try to remove the names, I got this message in the Variables tab: 'one or more errors occurred. Please save your work and restart the application. "If I'm careful of not having expaded 'ThisContext' in the variables tab, but check the property before and after the removal of names in the list it does not work properly, and there is no error.

  This isn't a big problem because I doubt that the end user will check to see that the property has actually filled, but I still want to fix the bug if possible. I installed the patch for TestStand 2010 and the .net Framework 4.0. Someone has an idea of what might be happening here?

  Looks like you are running in a known issue 193751, which is documented in TestStand 2010 and 2010 SP1 known issues list. It is a problem that we intend to fix in a future version of TestStand.

  No UI refresh: 0m48s (same as Teststand with no updates of the user interface)

  The discount but no page table switch: 1m06s

  Bay of refreshment and switch page: 1m26s

  There are 314 tests, up to 314 redraw and possibly

  switch page 314 to reposition the view. Which gives the

  following user interface refresh costs:

  

  Update of the table: 18 years/314 = 57ms (replacing just a single line, Center to top)

  Switch to page: 20 s/314 = 64ms (bottom right corner)

  Is this really the case? Is there a way to make the refresh of the user interface

  faster? Create two separate loops/threads, one to make

  the test, one for updating the UI asynchronously?

  widgets, but here I'm 'just' display of channels...

  Well, multi-listbox control is a problem if your change causes access to the muliple property node. For each property node LabVIEW normally does a refresh of the user interface which is very quickly. Fortunately, there is a fairly easy way to fix this.

  Use a node of property for the current VI (just drop a property node and change its class type VI Server-> VI reference) to get the reference of the Panel. Then use another property node connected to your reference of the Panel and select update from the Panel to postpone. Set this value to true before your Listbox (and any other updated user interface) and set the value to false then.

  I have disigned a program and user interface, on this user interface, there is a tab (see attachment) control in this tab control, you can select several measures. It is a school project and according to my professor is not clear enough what measure is selected.

  My question: is there a way to give the active tab a different color? If you know a way to create a nice user interface that has the same capabilities as the control tab (select measure and wire in measured values).

  It is possible to give different tabs of different colors, first of all, you must enable several colors - "just right-click on a tab on the control. "Select Advanced" allow multiple colors.

• Structure of the event without user interface

  I tried a quick and effective solution for a structure of event that is not a case of timeout and is part of a vi that has no user interface, but I have sent configuration data to the structure of the event.

  Let me be more clear: I have a camera that generates several events taken by a loop with the structure of the event inside.

  The provider of the camera give me this example of Labview code with all the events I'm interested and how they are implemented. I should mention that when you write a command of camera that a response to an event, but when you connect first to the camera there are more than 100 events generated by the latter, or when you download camera there are also several events. When there is no communication to the camera, the structure of the example event is inactive. The example includes a user interface to change settings and the program responds very well.

  I have to integrate this camera in great demand in which camera photo will be configured in a pragmatic way with number of the type of user interface in the example given by the manufacturer of the device.  First, I tried to design a loop with timeout cases in which a queue can send the data to the device setting configuration. Everything is good until the download when code needs to hold events in a certain way; in my case, an event is taken another goes to the time-out period and so on. After two sets of 100 images download, during the third round Labview gets blocked (Labview not responding) and I have to kill Labview. I got designer of the camera that if camera events are not taken they are kept on a pile and when the battery is full causes the Labview locked.

  Maybe I give too many details, but the question is: how to communicate with a struct event that is not a case of timeout and does not part of a user interface vi (it doesn't have a sign in my application)?
