SG500 layer 3 - VLAN can see each other devices Vlan9 <>- Vlan13

Hi all!

I guess I'm missing something simple here:

Basic configuration: two SG500 stacked switches in layer mode 3 who should do the routing. LANCOM WLC with access Internet COOL tied up in the trunk.

As for my understanding, I wouldn't be able to see Vlan13 of Vlan9 devices. But unfortunately, I don't have.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!!

The VLAN intercommunicates is because you have an IP address on the interface VLAN that will dynamically build a route on the switch.

As noted below, if you want to VLAN 9 to not see 13 or vice versa and ACL will be needed on the interface VLAN.

  • All network devices can see each other + Windows 7 computer, but machine Windows 7 can not see them

Hello. Under the network of my machine Windows 8 folder, I can see all the devices on the network. This includes a printer, my computer Windows 7 (what I can access), an Apple TV (from special software), a wireless hard drive, the router and a digital recorder.

The Windows 7 machine, I can only see the router and the printer. On special software, the Apple TV does not either. When you perform the Windows 8 computer host as a server for the special software, the Windows 7 machine could not see it on the special software. This means that there is something wrong on the Windows 7 this machine is not allowing him to detect other devices.

In a game of LAN, Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers can't see each other.

All devices are on the internet and I am posting this from the Windows 7 machine right now.

Windows 7 and Windows 8 machine are on the same network.

No device is on a host group and the group home service is disabled.

    Peer networking is enabled.

    Network discovery is turned on.

Both connections are set to private/Home.

Originally, the Windows 7 machine has been on his own home group and could be seen by anything. After a few hours, I finally got out of the home group, how other devices could see him then. However, he cannot always see other devices.

How can I get the Windows 7 machine to see other devices? I am at a loss. Is there a service that I have disabled right now that needs to be enabled? I don't know what to do.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

Disable the security software and check.

  • Computers can't see each other after the installation of E3000

I found several previous posts about my question, but none of them have led me to a solution to my problem. Here's my problem. I have a small home network that I could share files and printers on now I bought for and install a Cisco E3000 and my computers do not see each other. My current configurations is as such: I use DSL and you have an ADSL modem to 2 wires with wireless capabilities. This particular modem has a port for the telephone line and a local Ethernet port. I took the local ethernet and plugged into the internet port of the E3000. All computers can access the internet, but they cannot see. I checked that the file sharing and printers is enabled on all computers. In fact, if I remove the E3000 of configuration and place them on the 2wire wireless connection they see each other. So I'm pretty sure that the firewall on each PC software will allow file and printer sharing. Which leads me to believe that my problem is in the E3000. It blocks perhaps the Protocol of network discovery or something. Does anyone have ideas how I can fix this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Well, I solved the problem by returning the router to the retailer and Exchange to another router. Now, all network shares working. Consider the problem solved.

  • Two Dell on Win XP computers can't see each other through router

I have a Dimension E310 and a Dimension 2350 running Win XP Pro, which were hard times plugged into Vonage/Motorola router. I have a Lazerjet 4 on 2350 and I also have 2 printers more on the 310 and was able to print on any printer of each machine, I replaced the Motorola with an Airlink 101, before moving, I could also access from and to a machine with limited success (the 310a hung up when I tried to run a program that has been on the 2350)

My question is "can I USB to USB hard wire these two machines together in addition to the router or is there something more easy, because neither machine will see each other through this router?

Several years ago, I installed software and LAN cards in two machines and was able to see and map the other drive as if each machine had two hard drives and is exactly I wish that these two machines to operate.

Two of these machines are set up 5 feet from each other and only my wife and I run them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is a substitute for the migration assistant? I tried in vain for three hours to migrate files from a macbook pro to each other so that even if connected with the ethernet cable the computers never see each other.

You can connect otherwise?  USB or FireWire or love at first sight?  You can connect both machines and start the one you want to transfer to target disk mode.  If your other machine is up and running with an account on it and you just want to move files, you can simply drag and drop the FRO the machine mounted TDM, or you can use the migration wizard.

Or, if the other machine still starts and runs, you can start both computers and connect to the same wifi network and share the hard drive like machines on the network.  Access them in the finder on the new machine files and drag-and - drop, or use the wizard migration, on wifi.

  • I can't find other devices on my network.

I use a WNDR3700x2 router with a wireless on another floor extension. When I connect to the router itself, I can see all of our devices, wired and wireless. I also downloaded the netgear genius app, and they appear there, too. The problem is that my devices cannot communicate with each other and do not lie when I display the networks on the devices themselves. All computers are running Win 10 and wired and wireless internet access works great. Through files and printers sharing, I managed to get a wireless laptop to talk to a desktop computer, but by the Wireless Office, too. The files are now accessible by computers, but the laptop does not see the printer that is hard wired to the desktop. (Before 10th of Windows, wireless computer could talk to another computer when it is wired - that no longer works.) I am also unable to see desktop computers from another computer wired or wireless laptop.

I think I'm being stupid here, but I'm tired of banging my head against the wall... I read another post on this subject, where the global address list should restart router sound every morning for its computers to see each other. This is not the case in my question; restarting changes nothing, and the router connection shows all the devices - I can't get them to see through computers.

Thank you, Elaine! For some reason, using the genius of Netgear has allowed these computers to communicate again. It has no sense to me why it would change anything, but it did, and now all computers communicate with each other. Intermittent problems with the printer, but still believe it has anything to do with its time-out settings.

  • Windows 8 and Windows RT can't find/see each other on the same network

My problem is very simple, but I can't for the life of understand me.

I have a Windows 8 PC and a tablet of Surface RT, they are both connected to the same network but I can't connect to the home group. I am not able to see computers, when I click on networks so connected devices.

When I disable the security of password of my router, everything seems to work properly. I don't want to leave my network available to everyone however. so as soon as I put a password on my router now I can't pick up devices and home group. I tried to change my network advanced setting but who just so used to work. I don't know what there is to do.

This is for both of my devices, I don't want to leave my router without protection. Is there a way to fix this?

I think I found the answer to the problem. I went to HomeGroup settings on my PC and on my Surface and I checked everything on making default setting the private setting may be available on the network.

After that, I went to make sure that the firewall on my computer has been set to its default value. Then I went to check my firewall antivirus (BitDefender) and noticed that the network was listed in public, that's why I could not pick up other computers.

So I checked the network in order to be under this judgment in Bitdefender and everything seems to work now. My surface to pick up the computer and the home group.

Check your anti-virus firewall settings, perhaps that is the reason.

  • PIX 515 with several interfaces see each other

    Hello

I realize that this question has been asked in different ways, but I have yet to see my way. My problem is we have a pix515e with 6 interfaces, all interfaces can go out to the outside world very well, but they can not cross to the other. We do not have any router behind them, we 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.1.1, etc. as interface id how to see the other side of the other I need 2 interface see interface servers and even inside. Also how can I get ip addresses translate. for example we have a mail server on the inside interface with 10.0.0.60 translated in X.X.X.60 on the external interface if the outside world can see. Computers of the interface 2 see this machine as X.X.X.X.60 not the fact that it is on the interface right next to her, and therefore can not find. Inside machines translated at 10.0.0.60 address please help. and I hope that this can be done without routers behind the pix.

    Hello

is it possible to display your config? It would be much easier :-)

Please replace the public ip and remove the passwords. Thank you!

    Kind regards.

  • Both functions can call each other?

I'm convert code and you ran into two functions which call each other. While I seems to have converted the two functions in plsql ok, they compile, apparently because they Ref each other. As soon as I get off referring to a call from one function to the other function, they both compile.

I know that Oracle 10 g supports recursion; and on the surface of things, this situation is not very different from the recursion. If the two functions are correct, I would hope they would compile.

I couldn't find a good part by searching the forums on this topic... but I hope that someone will have some info on this issue.

    Hello

It must be something of that order. You and others have suggested creating a package. I never did it. Can I put all my functions in a single package, including the two who call each other, or should I put both functions in two separate package in order to avoid the same problem?

You probably want to put the two functions which call each other in a single package, but you probably don't want to put each of the functions you have already written in a single package.

Usually, a package contains some logical grouping of procedures that call each other or dealing with the problems of the same nature. When you call a procedure in a package, the entire package is loaded into memory.

For example, I have a package called pk_dt that does various things on the dates (for example, if a specific date is a public holiday). Some functions in this package call others in the package, some do not, but I put them in the same package because I predict that any job that calls one has a good chance of the call to the other.

The permissions are another thing to consider when you bundle procedures in packages.

  • How can I separate the dialogue of downloads and bookmarks in the library box so I can see each one separately and at the same time as Firefox used to allow?

After the last update, placed Firefox download dialog box and bookmarks in the same dialog, which cannot see both at the same time. I can't find any option to separate the two. It's severely cramping my workflow. Can you tell me how I can see once more my download progress in a single window and my favorites in another?

You can view the new download manager in a tab by opening the words: download page and you can consider opening this page in a separate window.

  • Networked PC is more by seeing each other

I have 2 PC networked through a router.   We run to Vista the other XP.   Until last week, everything went well in the measure of sharing files and printers.  Then all of a sudden, they recognize each other and the network card of the PC Vista there is a switch inserted between the router and the PC.  NO settings have been changed and and all settings are for sharing.  Help - need toget those PCs shares once again.

Reconfigure your network; again the part of the computers on the network. Vista (just like Windows 7) is by default public and do nothing share if he notice of changes to the network (except if she belongs to a domain).

  • I tried to set up a homegroup, but the system cannot see each other.

I tried to set up a homegroup

I tried to set up a homegroup with my netbook (windows 7 starter edition) and printer, Pc (windows 7 Home premium). PC and printer were already on this residential group.

The other was found nor a computer. I run the troubleshooter homegroup several times without success.  I have Norton antivirus installed on both computers. Would be Norton prevent computers find each other?

    Thank you

Thank you for your response. In the end, I didn't turn off norton. I tried again and it worked.
