  I have a setup in my environment where users have a mapped on a file server directory and this directory is mapped to a drive letter. Also a login script performs a mapping to another share.

  If I connect through RDP on the base image everything goes well, the mapped drives are here. If I have connection on a desktop provided by the view, the folders are missing.

  I was under the impression that the Apple ID password and home sharing password were one and the same, however, when I try and connect to the share house I get the message "home sharing could not be enabled because Apple ID or password is incorrect.". My ID never changed and I must admit for several days, I changed my password several times in the hope of being able to connect. The password works with everything except the home sharing.

  Even if this method would work... it will be intrinsically very slow for a number of reasons. It's something that you have already met and, honestly, there is very little you can do to improve the performance of streaming. At best, you will connect the server iTunes and iTunes 'speakers' with Ethernet connections between them. The other problem is the speed of data transfer between the extreme and the external USB disk 2.0 USB connection.

  An approach much more is to get a dedicated NAS device. Who can store the iTunes library, and act as an iTunes server. Such a device is the Synology DS416j.

  So, I live in the US and my parents live in Mexico; recently (this week) I've gifted them a TV series via iTunes.

  My mother has an iTunes account in the Mexico and she received the e-mail confirmation on the talented TV show really. However, for some reason, she isn't able to download the show I bought for them (human universe with Professor Brian Cox). My mother doesn't speak English, so she doesn't know what the e-mail she received. I may have it send me a screenshot of what said e-mail, so that I can translate then.

  My questions:

  1. is it possible to download/buy a TV series to the Mexico I've them good of the United States?

  I have an iPod classic which is fully functional and in good condition with no problems.

  I have a laptop and a desktop computer.  The laptop is a netbook and very slow. I recently installed iTunes on the desktop computer and cannot find my external hard drive to transfer music.  I did share House on two computers, since I have wifi at home.  There were a couple of albums that I put on the itunes of google drive, so I'm able to say that there is music, it takes the laptop and the music that was already on the desktop itunes. He cannot afford to make playlists using music from the desktop and shared music of homeshare; is it possible to actually use the wifi connection to get music on itunes on the computer so that it is the same thing, or do I have to manually transfer the music as well? If I sync ipod from the desk top music will there be to synchronize?

  To load songs on an iPod (which is not an iPod touch), the files must be stored locally on the computer running iTunes to sync the iPod.  You can use the 'normal' file sharing via your WiFi connection (not related to iTunes) to transfer music files between computers and add the songs in the iTunes library, that you use to synchronize the iPod.

  But I found just the Win 7 64 bit drivers... But it s not the big problem to get drivers for Win 7 32 bit, you can use the Win 7 drivers out for the PSC1GE C660 series.
  Toshiba tools such as value added package, Support of Flash memory card utility should work also on your model.

  If the computers are connected to the same wifi network and you have home sharing enabled at the same time for the same account (file > share house) and iTunes is open on both computers, then you should be able to view the computer's iTunes library old on the new iMac (you should have a 'home' icon at the top left, next to the icons of content type) , and you should be able to use it to select/highlight the tracks and drag-and-drop them in the iTunes library.

  You can also use home sharing (file > share house), if both computers are connected to the same network, and you use the same account for the House sharing on both, to copy items between them.

  I had a House sharing installation work for years with several Apple TV and IOS devices.  That recently all crashing stopped strangely right around the time that I have improved the main iMac to 10.11 - I do not use home for really - iOS devices sharing but they also lose the connection.

  Can you confirm that your Mac is on the same local network that your Apple TV and other devices?  I have a cable modem with a wireless router, which offers a secondary network of Wi - Fi (separated) as one 'hotspot' for others subscribe to cable.  Once, when I rebooted, my Mac connected to another network for any reason whatsoever, and although I had Internet access, I was wondering why I couldn't see my other Mac and Airport base station.  Another time (for many years), my Mac connected to a (non-secure) WiFi network nearby and I have not noticed immediately.

  This is more than just a problem with home sharing in iTunes.

  The wired maximum speed for the 4th generation Apple TV is 100 Mbps. If your broadband connection is 72mbps then has no interest anyway, with or without wire regarding the streaming is going. If you use share House to broadcast the content from your computer to the Apple TV WiFi will have the advantage in using either protocol 802.11/n or/AC. Why Apple chose not to make the gigabit ethernet port is anybody's guess.
