    I work with version 1.0.1 on Yosemite 10.10.5 Photos (Mac Pro Mid 2010, 2 x 3.33 GHz 6 - Core Intel Xeon, 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC)

Today, suddenly my files shared in the toolbar of left missing so that the complete 'shared' - option.

It happened when someone had added a photo to a shared folder. Photos icon shows a '1', indicating that the photo has been added. But I can't find shared folders more and do not know where to see the photo.

I am connected to iCloud and I there active streaming option as well as the photo of iCloud sharing option. I left pictures, shot these Photos options off and on again, restarted and it was the same thing.

On my iPhone, I can see the shared folder still exists. It ist just isn't on my Mac desktop.

Can someone help me out here? Thanks in advance!

Do you hear, to the title of the 'Shared' section is also absent from the sidebar?  If you still see the 'Shared' title, move the pointer to the right reveal hidden ShowHide control. and click on 'display '.

If even the title is missing, check if your current photo library will continue to operate as a Photo library system.  In the Photos > preferences > shared "Use as system library" option should be greyed out.

Check your system preferences > iCloud > Photos > Options, if iCloud photo sharing is still.

Check your Photos > preferences > iCloud, if iCloud photo sharing is still.

The owner of the shared album may have deleted the album. Then it vanish inyour library too.

  • R7800 cannot see shared folders SMB VPN

    Hello

I started to use VPN on the R7800 service, and I can use Remote Desktop connection Microsoft 9.3 iOS app to connect to my computer at home (8.1 Windows) through the internet, as if I was on the LAN (192.168.1.2). However, the apps that read SMB shared folders do not detect them (BREW 4 pro). Similarly, on my Nexus 6 p, solid explore cannot open shared folders when connected via VPN. Is it possible to read SMB from Windows shared folders remotely via VPN on the R7800?

I tried to ping 192.168.1.2 too from my iPad and there is no answer. When I ping my Android devices, however they respond. But, again, RDP to this computer works, so I don't know what is happening, someone with more knowledge can help?

Please verify ICMP and SMB service on your PC. If it is on the local subnet change it to EVERYTHING.

    Firmware: 6.5.2

I checked with the NETGEAR support

They should be for the suite of measures:

-Check the DNS entries, add 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.2.2

-Let ReadyCLoud and join. Invite users.

Finally I "Reset permissions" on the tab "File access" to all shared folders. It worked for me!

  • Shared folders is disconnected and impossible to reconnect to the drive already in use error letter

I have a XP Pro SP3 with all the recommended updates installed as of 10/02/2011 that sporadically will lose connections to all shared folders on the domain controller Server 2003 SP2.  The actions will connect and be accessible on initial login/start, but after an indeterminate amount of time all drives mapped on the 2 k 3 server disconnects themselves.  Actions that are located on a Samba server are always accessible and only this one workstation is having issues.  I also made sure that there is no other disk, physical or mapped, which have the same letters assigned on this workstation.   Another thing I noticed is that it seems that to do so for a particular user who is an administrator.  All users of all types seem to be able to work without any problems.

  • Home network not working not not because of 'ComputerName' not in the list of shared folders.

My simple home network of 2 PCs with XP, SP3 and a Netgear WNDR3700 router was working fine. I changed ISP and now cannot get the home network to the top. Run the home networking on every PC wizard implements the internal IP of 192.168.1.1 for the router and 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 for 2 PCs. Shared folders and files appear to be configured correctly and successfully, I can ping the router and the other PC from each PC. After the Microsoft troubleshooting procedure, everything is good until I get to the stage where the "ComputerName" must appear in the list of shared folders in computer management, System Tools, shared folders, shares. All other devices and shared folders appear correctly on each PC. It is about the last step in troubleshooting, but I can't in front of her. What can I do? Or is the wrong thing? I'm almost to the point of thinking there is something in the registry (added with my ISP change process) that stop working. Help!

In general, it is due to a firewall, in which case advice Jack will help.  In addition, there are a condition [rare] where the Type of a computer node becomes defined 'Counterparts' or 'P Pei' that will stop the communications between computers.  Bring up a command prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
    ipconfig/all
If the 'Type of node' line presents itself as "Peer-Peer" or "Pp" or type "P", ("Broadcasting", "Mixed" and "Hybrids" are OK) then check out the following article:

  • How to reset the shared folders, showing network after modified/deleted folder

    System: Windows Vista 64-bit

Problem: after files moved or modified, they persist in network folder, for example:\\my-pc\

It seems that their ghosts never die. Even when I put the file back to what was before, they are not accessible, and read error message, "you might not have permission to use this network resource...". »

They are listed under ' computer management > shared folders > actions ", but I can't delete them or change them.

Why there is no easy way I can change the shared folders?

The only way I found to clean these entries is to use Regedit to edit the registry.  First the standard warning from Microsoft:

  • Vista can ping machine to another, but cannot access shared folders on the machine

    Hi experts,

Recently, we have problems with some Vista machines to access shared folders on other Vista machines. This seems to happen after the automatic updates of windows.

These 'problem' machines are able to ping other machines 'good' but is unable to connect to shared folders machines 'good '.

The reverse works fine ('good' machines can ping and access 'problem' machines).

When you connect to folders shared of these 'problem' to 'good' machines machines using \\machinename\folder or even \\machine_ip\folder, the error window "the network location cannot be reached" appears.

'Problem' machines can do desktop connection remote for the machines 'good '.

All machines have the parameters: -.

    Same workgroup

    Same domain - private network

    Network discovery on

    File sharing on

    Public folder sharing

    Password protected sharing

I am not able to find a solution on the web site and microsoft.

Re-install Vista on 1 machine of 'problem' and the problem goes away.

The problem with reinstalling is subject to re-registration of certain software licenses which has no registration online (through applications for certificates).
Is there a resolution without having to re - install Vista?

  • Shared folders / printer is no longer available

I replaced my WRT54G V5 with an E3000 router default.  I installed using a cable (wireless) Dell desktop (Windows XP SP3) and it works.  I've changed the SSID and password which was used w / the WRT54G V5 and my HP desktop computer (Windows XP SP3) wireless and wired HP laptop (Windows 7) can both can access the Internet.

Problem is that shared folders on all systems, and a shared printer on the desktop HP wireless are more accessible.  They worked with the WRT54G.  How can I make them work on the E3000?

It may seem that the trusted computers.  Click the Norton or MacAfee and look through the various settings.  You will eventually find it.

  • E1000 wireless. Sharing folders on the network

    Hello

Until yesterday my two PC can share files/folders.

    Then everything stopped.

What is an adjustment to this router?

    Thank you.

This is the first time I had this problem.
But I guess that's why the first FAQ RCN starts with, 'How to reset Cable Modem'.
A few months ago, I went to the Internet of the MRC.  In the process of the MRC gave me a new CISCO/Linksys router and an ARRIS TM602G modem.

Years my Linux PC has successfully shared files/folders with my Windows 7 PC.  And my Windows 7 PC the files/folders shared with my Linux system.  I use samba.  A few weeks ago, I bought a WD TV Live Media Player to Watch Streaming videos from my computer on my TV.  It worked, too.  The WD TV Live Media Player Streaming has been able to browse shared folders on my Windows 7 PC and Linux.

Two days ago my WD external drive, which was attached to my Linux box is no longer in effect.
Then, I rebooted the Linux machine with the connected external hard drive.
But my Linux PC did not start.
Anyway, I don't know why my PC wouldn't start simply because a broken external drive has been connected via USB.
So, I disconnected the external drive of the computer and restarted Linux.

Then, I joined the WD external drive to my PC Windows 7 to try to run the diagnostics from WD of Windows.  But, the WD external drive was not recognized by Windows 7, so I rebooted the PC Windows 7.  Unfortunately, Windows 7 PC will not start with the connected external WD drive.  Once, I unplugged the external box WD Drive Windows 7 started very well.

But, after starting, I realized file sharing between my Linux box, Windows 7 and WD TV Live Streaming Media Player stopped.
My Linux box could still ping 7 box and vice versa.  And both could navigate on the Internet.
But, neither able to browse shared files/folders more.  And the WD TV Live Streaming Media Player lost the ability to connect to a machine.

So, these last two days I tried to understand where my configurations samba got screwed upward.
I tried different routers and went crazy in the process.

I knew that nothing had changed on my PC.  But, simply because I assumed that nothing has changed does not mean that I'm right.

Finally, after I got back from work, I spent 3 hours keeps my troubleshooting and decided to browse the MRC Web site.  The first FAQ was titled 'How to reset Cable Modem' and I thought, 'couldn't hurt.  Thus, after the reset of the modem everything works.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Shared folders on 2008 r2 64 firewall

I'm having a problem of sharing folders on this server 2008r2. I have to share ok and everyone as the user in its own right but unless I turn off the firewall they can not access... They can see the server, but it won't let them see any action. If I create a user with the same name as the computer, with that I connect so I can get with the password. I checked the sharing network and disabled the password protection. I checked the SSDP Discovery service and device host UPnP services are started, that network discovery is allowed to communicate through Windows Firewall, I'm really on a Canon on this one and any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Photos app stopped to show images of shared folders

    Hello

My apps IdeaPad and EasyCrop save pictures in the shared documents folder. But the latest OS update 1.0.5 in my PlayBook does not show all pictures stored in shared folders.

I tried to put in other shared folders (shared/photos) etc., but the photos app does not display all images saved from third-party applications.

However, when Browse dialog opens to load the image, it displays all pictures stored in the shared folders.

    Everyone experienced up to now?

If you have a PlayBook with last update, can you please try EasyCrop or any other free image utility to save an image and try to view in photos app?

    Thank you

    chall3ng3r / /.

Okay, I finally found what was wrong.

The updated OS 1.0.5.2342 have some changes in the mapped file APIs.

File.documentsDirectory and File.desktopDirectory now points to the same folder "documents" on real PlayBook device.

The last API docs v1.0.1 is incorrect. File.desktopDirectory is assumed to point to the "root" of work-sharing files.

My applications used File.documentsDirectory to save the images. But the app photos in previous versions was showing images in the documents folder as well. In the last update, it stopped showing images in the documents folder.

Now I've just updated my application to use File.userDirectory which now points to the root of the working folder. And now I'm able to save to the shared folder / photos.

Save the actions/pictures folder now shows in the photos app.

I'm now confused if I should download new versions of my applications to use this mapping has changed or I should wait for RIM fix this bad mapping.
