Sharing my Satellite with Win 7 capable screen?

My new computer capable of screen sharing.
IF yes how can I achieve this?

I have a friend who wants to capture my screen to put in place certain areas for me.

Thank you (I do it easily through the LENS I CHATTED on my MAC)

Gail

Hello

I think you mean the remote Desctop.
The Remote Desktop feature is included in versions professional, enterprise or Ultimate from Windows 7.
Win 7 Home edition doesn't include the remote desktop!

If you use one of the mentioned Win 7 versions you can enable remote desktop according to this:

-Click on the Start button
-right click on the computer icon and choose Properties
-Click the remote settings that you can find on the left
-Now you can activate

See you soon

  • How to go online with this 4090XCDT Satellite with Win 98

I have done with my laptop end of fathers, but have no idea if I can get online with it or how do I know?
I have the old windows 98 disk so assume it's about it.

Any help would be appreciated. I know its old, he died in 2000, but no idea of what he used to.

Thanks and I can't wait to find out what I can do about it.

Is there a network port on the laptop? If this isn't the case, you could buy a PCMCIA or USB network card, so you can plug the cable DSL. Or if it has a built-in modem, you can connect using Dialup (telephone).

Win98 should be fine, you just need to install Firefox 1.x or Internet Explorer update.

  • P850 satellite with Win 8.1 - Hercules rmx dj controller does not

Since installing windows 8.1 on my P850, I could not use my rmx Hercules dj controller.

Team support for the State of Hercules is usb 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller entry is recommended to go to the link and follow the instructions to update the drivers concerned, since it is a the power management issue of the upgrade.

They have not solved my problem so they said to talk to my pc manufacturer.

Can any body help or has had this problem.

+ The message was edited: link has been removed.

    Hello

USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller is developed and designed by Intel.
The point is that Intel has provided specific drivers for Windows 7.
Why? Because the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 already use native skins USB 3.0 driver

    + Source: +.
    http://www.Intel.com/support/chipsets/USB3/sb/CS-033977.htm

So if a Hercules support means, it s a problem of compatibility between the Dj and the USB controller, they should provide a fix for this, because Intel doesn't provide updates of special driver for USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller

The BIOS shows ' version of BIOS ACPI = 1.30.
Can someone advice how to change the power settings please?
    Thnx.

    Dave

    Hi Dave,.

You have the "Toshiba common Modules" installed? They must first of all for many models of Toshiba, and power settings module is an add-on for that.

If you do not have the appropriate restoration or the utility CD handy, the drivers can be downloaded from the Web from Toshiba website.

I hope this helps, let us know how you go

  • Satellite A100-683 with Win 7 - screen brightness adjustment does not work

    Hello

    I have a model of Satellite A100-683 PSAA9E with Win 7

My problem is that I don't have a brightness in my dashboard-> laptop Center

I tried to install the drivers from the site Web of Toshiba (additional package, return), but stops the installation always with errors such as: value added package: PVAT Setup error

I tried to install the drivers for Vista...

    Please help me!
    Sorry for my English mistakes.

    Hello

The installation may stop due to system problems or the PVAT erroneous version.
I recommend you to uninstall the installed VAP.
After the PVAT has been uninstalled, restart the laptop.
Now, download and install the tool small freeware called CCLeaner.
It helps to clean the system and deletes files temporal garbage from the HARD drive.
After the cleaning of the system registry, you must restart the system once more.

Now, go to the page of the Toshiba UE driver and download the Toshiba value added Package for Win 7. Note! Choose the right! There are differences between the 32-bit and 64-bit version.

Unzip the package, run the exe from installation or installation file and start the installation.
Installation should finish properly and after new reboot, you should be able to use the function keys.

    Akuma is right.
    You need Toshiba Bluetooth stack!

Reinstall the battery of BT and activate BT using the FN + F8
Notes; the FN + F8 control WLan too. You will need to press this combination of keys several times in order to get the BT active.

It is not easy to give you a precise answer, but try to remove WLAN card from Device Manager, and then restart the device. You can also check the Toshiba download page and try to install the latest driver for the WLAN card.

  • Satellite Pro L100: USB2 drivers do not have compatibility with Win XP

SAT Pro L100 - I loaded the USB 2 drivers received using a prolific USB to Serial Comm Port (Sunix - UTS1009B) a single port USB to serial port cable.

In each instance of loading the drivers message appears "did not the Windows Logo test for compatibility with Win XP. If continue or stop, drivers do not work.

Seems as if there is a problem loading the USB 2 drivers. need assistance?

    Expensive branded

    That s nothing unusual.
Many 3rd party drivers have not been tested by Microsoft and the message appears so that the pilot didn't make the Windows logo test for compatibility with Win XP!

But if you use a driver that was designed for Win XP, you just continue and finish the installation.

So, don t worry not and follow these steps!

  • Cannot conect my 2415 TV Satellite with conector RCA

    Hello

I have a satellite with nvidia geforce4 420 go 2415 s205 and I can't connect my computer to my TV RCA conector, I see the image of the windows background, but nothing else. I think the reason why it is Win XP SP2, but I would like to know if anyone can help me with this problem.

    Thank you

It is well known that service pack 2 live upward 420Go GForce drivers (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890601). I also have a laptop with VGA 420Go Gforce4 card and it I blew after SP2. Although mine was a different matter (black bar on the right side of the screen) that yours, following my instructions below will provide you with options for best performance of your system, including appropriate options to implement your 2nd screen.

Allows to check the basics first:
The 2nd display can operate in two different modes:
    (1) in clone mode (you see exactly the same image as on your laptop screen)
    (2) in extended mode (you can see a second [TV out photo] screen, where you can drag and drop programs since the first screen [computer screen]

You can go to the display properties, check the button [TBD]. This will show a 1 big on your laptop screen and a number 2 on your TV.
Move the 2nd monitor picture box depending on when your TV is close located.

Now you can drop ANY PROGRAM in the TV screen with your mouse by moving the programme area on the side of your 2nd screen.

    Now to the real solution:
Let me tell you what I'd do:

    (1) download the latest drivers for nvidia4 420go directly on nvidia.com site: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71.html
    (2) unzip the files in the folder proposed (c:\NVIDIA\Win2KXP\93.71\...)
    (3) visit the website: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/enhancer and create a compatible .inf file for YOUR model. The only thing you need to do
select on the top of this Web page is: version 93.71 and the max of your TFT (true pixels of your screen TFT) screen resolution.
    (4) click the download at the bottom of this Web page and save the NEW, created the nv4_disp.inf file in the folder in step 2) replacing the old a.
    (5) now you are ready to install the driver from the folder in step 2) by starting the installation program. EXE file

Once the latest drivers are installed, you get a good NVIDIA menu on your control panel (and the to-do bar) where you can set up ALL the POSSIBLE PARAMETERS for TV output and so on.
The steps described above are needed, because Toshiba does NOT UPDATE the drivers of their Notebooks more. The way I describe you get the BEST PERFORMANCE for your laptop.

    Good luck
