  Hello to everyone.

  I would lik to see whether there is a possibility to manage the same catalog on two different workstations. For example, I make a few adjustments in the morning on my pc 1 ad, and then later I close the office but I need to continue to work on the same files on pc 2 without starting all over. Then I make other adjustments to other files that I end the next day on 1 pc.

  You can store the catalog Lightroom and original images on an external hard drive, and connect the player to the computer on which you want to change.

  I added a second drive on which I have win7 RC running. Before destroying the soemthing I would ask some advice:

  Can I access the same catalog of XP and Win7?

  If you work on XP, everything is on the C: drive so that when you work on Win7 XP disk and threrfore catalogue is on drive D:\ win7 point of view. Will this be a problem? LR stores data of absolute paths in the catalog that would prevent me from doing this?

  I don't think that you still have to update the location of the folder, since the relative paths between the catalog and images will remain the same. I'm not sure, though - you should try.

  Lightroom 6 will require a database update are in the catalog format. When you start Lightroom 6 once you have it installed, it will prompt you to update your catalog. This will create a new copy of your catalog in the new format, leaving your Lightroom 5 intact and usable catalog if you have installed Lightroom 5. 6 of Lightroom and Lightroom CC may use the same catalog. When excellent both books are on the same server they connect perfectly. When I run the client excel book on the other Pc (without changing something in the formulas of cells) the connection is lost. The DDE connection is approved on the PC server and this connection permission is full control for everyone. What is perhaps the reason for this problem? I think I missed a point.   It is a question related to what is the best possible approach for this scenario.

  A POJO domain controller that retrieves a collection (of about 200 folders). The application displays the same records for all users of the application. The collection should be updated from time to time when there are new items and it must be visible to all users in DB.

  Currently, for each user that connects to the DC POJO application runs the query and deliver results. This works well when amount just a few users, but when multiple users want to access the app becomes very expensive.

  I think to build a programatically EO - VO, and then display it in a SharedApplicationModule where through the Cache of BC, I'll save and share data between users. I need to mark make a poll and update the collection when new results come thru.

  Is this a good approach? What are your thoughts or how would be better applied?

  Only reliable way is to use an external drive and put your catalog on it. The catalog can not be on a network without tips (dangerous) drive. You can put all your images on a network drive and just use a USB stick for the same but more reliable catalog would be to put it on an external hard drive. Some people have luck with a catalog on dropbox for example file, but you have to be very diligent in Lightroom to closing on a computer before you open it on another if you don't want to loss of work and file corruption.

  If you do a def enum type, then each control associated with this type def will have the same exact list.  If you do a def type ring, they won't.  If you are a Strict Type Def ring, so they look the same, but they will have the same list.

  What are your needs?  What you're trying to do with these controls?  The dynamic list (may change during execution)?
