sharing wireless with Windows 7 and Windows XP, mine is Vista.

Periodically, I share a wireless connection with a computer laptop Windows XP and Windows 7.  When I connect mine to the internet (Vista), the other two are disconnected from the internet.  How do fix us this?

Hello

We recommend that you run the troubleshooter in Windows 7 and Windows XP Internet connection sharing to find what is causing the problem.

On Windows 7, try the following steps.
1. open the utility network troubleshooter by right-clicking the network icon in the notification area, then click on the problems.
2. follow the instructions in the wizard.

On Windows XP, try the following steps.
1. click on start and then click Help and Support.
2. under Pick a help topic, click fixing a problem.
3. in the left pane, click Networking problems.
4. in the right pane, click Internet connection sharing convenience store.

I hope this helps.

  • Printing problems wireless with Windows 7 Home Premium

Previously, I had Window Vista downloaded on my laptop and had NO problem printing wireless. Now I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I have a modem from my phone company, a wireless router and a Photosmart All printer (C4795).  The same one I had with Vista.  I just can't get anything to print UNLESS I connect a USB cable from my laptop to my printer (very frustrating). I'm not completely PC illiterate, but not very clever of them either. I uninstalled and reinstall the printer, the router and the modem and that did not help. I had the company of phone on the phone for an hour last night and they could not help and saw nothing wrong with my set up. I need an answer "simply stated and clear" what I have to do. I have a group RESIDENTIAL network set up on my computer, but have not set upt the other computers at home (a laptop) with the network home for the moment. I wanted to get a computer is working correctly before moving forward. The internet connection to the HOMEGROUP network seems to be well. All devices are listed and look good, but I can not just wireless printer that's why I brought the first wireless printer.

  • C4780 wireless with windows 2000

    Hello

I recently got the c4780 all-in-one. It's great to work wireless with my win xp computer. However, I got an old laptop victory 2000, which I want to use for printing the aswell c4780 wireless.

I know that HP is not officially compatible win 2000, but is it possible that I can make it work?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it is. Go to the Printers folder and select Add a printer. Select local printer and create a TCP\IP port to the IP address of the printer. Now select the printer as the HP Deskjet 990c driver, and you should be able to print.

  • Is what camcorder compatible with Windows Movie Maker on Vista Home Premium?

I'm in a bit of a dead end.  I have to make and edit a film which is mostly clips stored in Windows Movie Maker on my old computer which has VISTA Home Premium/64 bit.

In most old clips (that are compatible), I have to shoot some new images.  My recent purchase of a Sony camcorder does not work.

Can anyone recommend a camcorder that will have files that are compatible with Windows Movie Maker?  My Sony clips seem impossible to move outside the Sony software so I can't convert them.

I'm ready to buy a new camera.  I just need something compatible.  Would even buy a used one on E - Bay as long as it will work with the old Windows Movie Maker.

    Can anyone help?

If its on a memory card to buy a card reader, if you do not. Or if you connect the cable it should allow you to see what on it

Most camcorders these days support MP4. If it is HD. The new Panasonic cam I have here, I think that it records in MP4. Since it is 1080 p

The old who is also Panasonic may have been old, (it is not HD), but it had a firewire port.

But I think that it saved videos like WMV (I mean I don't know that it loaded in Movie maker, when I got it)

You will have either to buy a program that supports MP4, or use a video conversion program and convert to WMV

  • I wan to use connections cable and wireless with Windows 7.

I use Windows 7. I have a wired ethernet connection, but also internal wireless.

I want to be able to use both connections. I'm using VMware Workstation and it allows me to specify which adapter to use with the virtual machines. However, when Windows 7 detects there are two cables and wireless, it disables the wireless and automatically uses cable.

    How to use both?

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. By the brand and model of the PC, I see that there is not a driver designed for Windows 7. Try installing the driver in compatibility mode. Is your problem with the virtual machines that you have running, the host computer, or both? If it's on the host computer and that you have installed the latest driver in compatibility mode for Windows 7, then it is probably a compatibility problem of driver/hardware that by default, this feature in Windows 7 works.

  • OfficeJet 6100 709 offline wireless with Windows 7

I recently bought an Officejet printer all-in-one and he used with success via my wireless router. Now it constantly shows offline. I have downloaded and run the HPHDNU and the HPPDU and follow-up of the HP troubleshooting steps, including turning off Windows and Norton firewall. I could reinstall and use it via USB, but it won't work wireless. I reset my router, restarted my HP laptop, turned the printer market, etc. I can type the URL in a browser, and it appears fine, but devices control panel and printers shows it as offline, and it will not display the properties.

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > devices & Printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the host name of the printer (found on the network printer configuration report the generated above). Click Next.
If you get a message about required additional Port information, then the printer is not found using the host name. You can go back and start over or using the IP address of the printer instead of the host name.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
    9. He will ask the name of the printer - enter a new name or use the one existing. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. we may ask you to share the printer. Make a choice and click Next.
    11. the printing area of Test Page is displayed. Go ahead and print it out.
    12. click on finish.

Now, delete the original printer in Control Panel > devices & Printers.

  • Loss of wireless with Windows 8.1

I have a HP Envy 17-j053ea laptop running Windows 8.1 64bits.  It has an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 adapter. I guess that other posts that thisadapter cannot handle Windows 8.1, is why I lose my wifi connection permanently (other devices not running Windows 8.1 are fine). Is there an update or another driver I can download to fix this problem? If Yes, where can I find and can someone give me a dummy step by step guide to install and run on my laptop?

    Thank you

  • loss of wireless with windows xp

I reinstalled Windows XP and that you can get is a wireless network connection.  Whenever I try to choose a wireless connection to connect to my wireless linksys router
, I get a window box that says: If you want Windows to configure this wireless connection, start the automatic wireless COnfiguration service.

After installing XP, you then go to the website of Dell and download/install all drivers and the specific mobile software for your model computer? If this is not the case, this is your next step. Enter your Service tag on the Dell support site. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    Or

You can go to the manufacturers website and download the driver on your HP Mini and install from it.

  • A PC with Windows 7 requires MS Vista Service Pack 1?

    Dear MS staff

I bought a new laptop with MS Windows 7 for my son.  I installed a game from EA Games, called "Spore."
The game does not work.  In the technical notes, the Paralympic Games advises I have download and install MS Vista service Pack 1.  Not if
I'm paranoid or whatever it is, it is not a good idea to install an older version of a product of Ms.  Can I avoid this and

You can not install a service pack for another operating system. It should just work out of the box. Your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game?
