  • Fake email received? Rescue e-mail address Apple ID

I received an email from the so-called [email protected]. He claims that I recently added my address to e-mail from Apple as a conference entitled "rescue e-mail address for...» [my] AppleID. "I don't have such a thing. Of course the one who sent the e-mail knows my apple e-mail address. Sounds like a scam to me. I did not answer. Can anyone provide information on who is doing what in regards to this email? I've attached a screenshot of the email. If I do nothing else, at least I'll have tipped him off about the PERP here. Do you have any advice for me on any action, I have to take? I posted in the community of MacBook Pro because the list of communities given did not address my question. If you can make this available to a better audience post, then do it.

  • Old address of mail electronics Apple id

My old email id apple address keeps popping up and asks me to enter the password on my iphone and ipad. Obviously, I can't do what he no longer exists because I changed my e-mail address and password to my id of a certain number of months. Does anyone know how I can stop this keep popping up?

Try to connect on anything using your Apple ID - if asked to give a current password. Then connect back with the new code.

When you change your Apple ID, it is recommended that you disconnect all use first, and then connect once changed back with the new ID.

  • Mail from Apple using incorrect email (typo)

    Hello

Apple Mail uses invalid (typo) email address Hotmail to send the same mail so correct was provided and is present in the settings.  The user's e-mail address is * [email protected], but when sending mail it tries to connect with the imap server using the * [email protected] (obvious typo).  I checked that the e-mail address is correct in the e-mail settings and address book.  I tried to delete the account and restart the phone and then add the account but this does not solve the problem.

Mail from this account can not be sent, but is received correctly.  Other mail on telephone accounts, send and receive a fine.  Phone is 6s with installed 9.3.4

    Any advice?

That has to do with the outgoing SMTP settings. If you can not change this setting, remove and add the account as "Other" type. You will need the following information:

    Incoming mail server

    • Account type: IMAP
    • Username: [email protected]
    • Host name of the server: imap - mail.outlook.com
    • Server port: 993
    • Authentication: password
    • SSL/TLS: Yes

    Outgoing e-mail server

    • User name: _______[email protected]
    • Host name of the server: smtp - mail.outlook.com
    • Server port: 587
    • Authentication: password
    • SSL/TLS: Yes
  • Mail and apple ID passwords were lost

Hello. My aunt lost password AppleId and mail. When I try to separate his devices unit ask me enter password for apple ID to disable "find my phone". Can I untie all devices without password from apple ID?

    Hi VladislavVasilyeu!

I see that you have problems disabling the discovery feature My iPhone on the iPhone of your aunt.  It is important to be able to disable find my iPhone, so I'm happy to help you.  She will need to regain access to their account information, and I've included instructions below.  The second link explains find lock activating my iPhone featured more in detail.

  • I received an e-mail from Apple ICloud on my account trying to access at very odd times of the night. Are these real emails from Apple?

I have received emails that my Apple ID was used to connect to ICloud on a Mac PC. He asks me to connect to «secure access now» These emails are actually Apple or is my account being hacked?

If the e-mail addresses you Dear customer or something similar, it's phishing attempts.

Apple has all your details and you will deal with your full name (not email, etc.)

  • Scam or e-mail from Apple?

I just got an email from apple, which appears as appstoreonline.co.uk, indicating that I bought an element, Minecraft Pocket Edition at a cost of £1.17 to a time where I was and not on my iPad. He invites me to click on a link to get a refund if I did not buy it.

Is this a scam similar to those on Windows, which, if you follow the link it will install some kind of virus or spy wear on my iPad.

Someone encountered this sort of thing on their iPad before, and what would be the best way to check if this was in fact sent by Apple?

    Thank you

    Peter

It's a scam. It is not Apple.

  • E-mail from Apple

Thank you very much, MyApple community

The "SUITE" is a link, but im not sure if it's a legitimate email or link...
Here's a screenshot of the email

No, they never send e-mails like this. Never, they send emails requesting personal information. This has all the hallmarks of a scam. They all work the same way for you the Miller in to provide personal information to an unsecured source.

Remove enamel and about best practices, never send any personal information to anyone he solicit via email or other electronic source.

  • My ID Apple is not an address e-mail, but Apple would like it is

My Apple ID is simply ' *' with no. sign @. I used this Apple ID since 2002. Throughout the many changes of @Mac @me to @iCloud somehow I found myself with another Apple ID ' *' and now I have 2 Apple ID.

    *********

Apple has created the situation by allowing an Apple ID with no. @ sign to exist in the first place, and then by allowing another Apple with the same name ID with @me.com after her! Like Apple now change Apple ID 1 to a valid email address. Well, my valid email address is be.

    ********

But of course I can't change it to that because it's already an existing Apple ID, Apple ID 2.

So in summary: like Apple Apple ID 1 to be an email address valid and tell them my email address is the address of Apple ID 2. I'd like to hear if anyone has had a similar experience and how it was resolved. Thank you!

Did you try to go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and select "manage your Apple ID"; Sign in with your ID Apple and the password, and then select Name, ID, and E-mail addresses in the left column; next to Apple ID and primary e-mail address , select Edit; Enter a valid email address?

  • E-mail from Apple is sending unwanted attachments

My old brother in Australia email me to the United States every day to let me know he's OK. Yesterday and today these emails came through each with an attachment, it has not deliberately set. The first was a link to a page of icons of Apple applications. The second e-mail contained a link to an entire page on the BBC website. It uses a fairly new MacBook Pro. What can happen? Thank you.

  • Can't connect on iCloud Mail on Apple Mail Mac when Apple ID is not an address to iCloud

My Apple ID is connected to my AOL ([email protected]) address and I use this AOL address in combination with my iCloud password, whenever I want to access iCloud. So far so good. But I can not access my [email protected] email with Apple Mail.

When I go to Preferences > accounts in Apple Mail, the alias is [email protected] and therefore my "email". But it is false. [email protected] is my login Apple ID but not my email to iCloud. When I try to change the alias, then click Security in the context menu, popup freezes and I have to force quit Apple Mail. Whenever I have change the e-mail address and click on another account, Apple Mail asking me to safety and then freezes when I click OK.

I want to keep [email protected] as my primary Apple ID but wish to access my emails to iCloud. How is that possible?

Do not try to set up in the mail. Go to System Preferences > iCloud. If necessary, enter your ID and password, then select "Mail" in the list here. This should configure the Mail application correctly without additional intervention.

  • what I do to my backup when I remove the mail from apple

MacBook pro... Time machine... I change Apple mail to gmail mail.  I have to do something with my backup?

Do you mean that you don't pursue Gmail apps vice just adding the Gmail account in mac Mail?

If this is the case just review your Time Machine preferences > Options and ensure that the application is not excluded, or that it is included. How to check depends on how TM has been installed. The default value is included on your startup disk
