  To me that sounds more like a keyboard failure, I can't imagine that it could be linked to the question of the windows operating system do you have tested an external USB keyboard.

  I understand that shift key of your MacBook Pro does not respond as before. Fortunately the steps below can help to restore the functionality of the SHIFT key on your Mac.

  1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. On the view menu, choose the speech.
  3. Click on the text to Speech tab.
  4. If "Text Speak selected when you press the button" is enabled, the key or combination of keys set to read the text cannot be used for other purposes, or used for typing text - click on set the key and replace it with a less commonly used key combination (try using the modifier such as SHIFT keys, command) Option and control).   I have been using international keyboards such as the provisions of German, Spanish and Portuguese keyboard for many years.  I have implemented mappings to switch between languages and you can quickly type in the language that I need.

  However, yesterday and today, all of a sudden; key stopped working on my international keyboards.  In English, I can type; as many times as I want.  But when I switch to German, the key o (English; key) does not work.  Spanish N does not work.  This is - when I hold it down, I can make it work:

  NNNNNNN and it spits out a long line of characters, and I can remove backwards to get only one of them.

  How boring!  I can't find any other articles on this topic.

  I took a look at this thread and realized that my user profile is damaged.  I created a new Windows user and tried to use the German keyboard here and it worked fine.

  Too bad, I really don't want to mess with my files.  Maybe, I'll just buy an external hard drive, so such things don't affect me as well.
