  My apologies for the lack of capitalzation.

  Suddenly tonight, turning my caps lock key is kept. I would like to press the button, but it wouldn't turn off. After my laptop computer is shut down and restarted, the SHIFT key now works properly, but none of my shift keys work. everything else seems to work very well. I've not spilled something on the keyboard and nothing happened or changed between when it was working fine before and now. What is important, the two shift keys do not work, instead of one, while the rest keys in the area of the two shift keys seem to work fine, so it seems that the problem is some sort of issue with the shift key...

  It is possible that the keyboard itself is fine and the motherboard went a bit wonky, but will be difficult to diagnose without a motherboard that is well known or known good keyboard.

  I guess you could lift and remove the shift keys and check that it works mechanically (which is likely). Then I would pull out of the rubber dome (need to identify switches) to check the electrical contacts under him and try to fill it directly.

  Any keyboard off of eBay for X 220, {T, W} {4, 5} {1,2} {0, 0 s} will work.

  I have a new IMAC and I just upgraded to Indesign CC. the SHIFT key does not objects or text in proportion.   As you mentioned the left SHIFT key and SPACEBAR does not work it means you need to replace the keyboard, as an alternative, you can use the on-screen keyboard or wired keyboard / wireless. To activate on screen keyboad on windows 7 choose demarrer→ Panel→Ease of Access→Ease to access Center.Click the button start the Visual keyboard.

  I understand that you are having problems with the keyboard on your Slatebook.

  Clear cache on the PC: Settings > storage > cached data. You should have the option to erase all data cached here.
  
  Hard reset: While the PC is turned on, press and hold the power button for 8 + seconds force to stop. Turn it back on and see if that helps.
  
  Factory reset: Make sure that you back up important files or information, firstly and then when the loan to settings > backup & reset > reset data.
