Shockwave flash does not load

Shockwave flash does not load on my computer. Whenever I load a page that has any type of video content, I get a pop up at the top of the page that says "Could not load the Shockwave Flash". I tried to download or install the latest version of Shockwave flash, but it still doesn't work. If I open or read the Internet videos, they charge. Instead, the screen goes gray with a face of puzzle piece in the middle.

Any suggestions?

I found a solution. Turns, it was not a case of download a newer player Flash, but I had 2 plugins flash player enabled in Google Chrome and for some reason, having 2 plugins do Flash does not work.

All I had to do was to disable one of the plugins.

  • Flash does not load when you use the standard account in Windows 7

    I use the latest version of Flash on IE9 RC and on some sites, while that connected to Windows 7 (64-bit) as a standard user, does not Flash, but if I go to my Windows 7 Administrator account and go to the very site where the content Flash won't load, it does not load.

    I tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash and disabling hardware acceleration, but nothing happens.

    Flash sites like YouTube videos, no matter which account I'm connected to.

    It started happening yesterday when I upgraded to Windows 7 (64-bit) SP1. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it was the last major change made to my system.

  • Player audio/video flash does not load in htm page

    Im trying to use this option again treated in flash 8, import audio/video, im trying to add a drive to this page, but the player just does not load, I know that files and folders are in the right place, im confused, can someone help me understand why its not displayed.

    It shows when I saw test from my PC, but it is uploaded on my server, the page does not work?

    I never have problems with flash normally.

    Works fine for me, plays some nice tunes, takes a while to load
    check the built in charger for the State.

    Maybe your all just do not wait long enough?

  • Plugin Flash does not load after upgrading to 40.0.2

    Firefox recently Auto-setting 39.0.3 to 40.0.2 on two of my Win7 machines up-to-date. After the upgrade or machine could load a radio station Flash stream. Relocation of 39.0.3 returns to normal streaming.

    Flash stream is called from the home page of the station using this URL:

    The call opens a new FF window and the stream starts to load but stall on a gray screen. There is no error message.

    FWIW, I have not tested with other Flash web content.

    It would be great if it could be repaired.

    You can try to dom.ipc.plugins.asyncInit the value false Subject: config page.

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
    You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • Flash does not load in Firefox.  Why?

    I tried too many times to load the Flash player in firefox (3.6.6 on Windows NT (SP3), 32-bit).

    Flash works on IE, but never on Firefox.

    I tried to uninstall and reinstall. No joy.

    It does not matter if Firefox is running or not why I try to load the Flash.

    It may be an indication that the automatic download does not start.

    I have download Flash in order to help download flash.

    Among my attempts to get a clean Adobe on the machine environment.

    I tried to remove the Adobe Download Manager. It failed with the message:

    Error loading C:\Program File\NOS\bin\getPlus_helper.dll

    Is this a problem for the loading of Flash?

    How can I get the file named? (There are no NSA program directory).

    Let's clear up some confusion about the terms first

    • install you with the "loading"? (running an installation program downloaded)
    • with the "downloading", do you mean download? (download from a server to your computer)

    Then, you talk about "install_flash_player_ax.exe" - it is the ActiveX for Internet Explorer Setup.  For Firefox, you need the plugin installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe

    Make sure that no browser is running while you run the downloaded installer.

    In regards the Download Manager (which cannot be uninstalled), we will look at it later.

  • Embedded Flash does not load

    I have a page created in Dreamweaver 8, which is a home page, divided into a number of cells. All cells have standard GIF and JPEG in them, but we have a Flash file - a simple flash file 40 k of text scrolling. I inserted using the Dreamweaver commands. It works FINE on my computer when I test it, but the flash file not to LOAD even on the page when I upload it to a server. HUH? I put the URL of the flash itself file in my browser and it loads well (on the remote server), but it just will not be displayed on the page that I joined.

    ANY suggestions? I know I've done this before, but this is the first time with DW 8. Changed something? I'm looking and the forums and the help files in the search, and it seems that I am doing things.

    Like I said... something had to be new to DW 8. I didn't even know who it was. (I've used DW for a few years, but it remains a novice/intermediate... DW scripts automatically for me of what are still out of my immediate reach).

  • CS6 Pro flash does not load

    Flash Pro CS6 loads and suddenly disappear while 'loading fonts. "  I found similar discussions and their solution suggests to find fontinfo.txt and change, but I can't seem to find the fontinfo.txt, but found a missfont.map.

    Need help, thanks in advance...

    It basically says you want to delete all the fonttinfo.txt file and indicates where the file should be found.  So if you can't find the file, you can simply create the (empty) file and put there by using Notepad or any ascii text file software available to you.

  • Why not Shockwave Flash does not update?

    I'm running on Windows Vista business with service pack 2. Firefox (13.0.1) list plugin said upgrading Shockwave Flash. I did, but even if I restart the computer, the plug-in should be updated. Could someone help me? Thank you very much.

  • Lenovo, Yoga 2 - a plugin (Shockwave Flash) does not.

    I have also exactly the same questions. In order to overcome, I am now running four browsers - chrome, firefox, IE and Edge, and each of them do. It is unpredictable and infuriating.

    Please notify.

    And a question - why this thread is marked "assumed answered" when clearly has not been resolved?

    I moved this to another thread because it seems separate from the thread you have answered initially, but all traffic connects to the station not move themselves.

    • Hi Jean-Luc thanks for that. I followed your instructions and turned off the hardware acceleration in Chrome. Not sure if it worked yet. Will test a few sites. Your suggestion to do the same thing in Flash is however from the pages running Flash seize up, of course! I couldn't go pretty far in following your instructions!       Oh, it's certainly no good.  He probably won't want to help then. If you have not restarted since you started having this problem, start here.  If it still persists after restarting, please make sure you have all up-to-date with Windows Update and update to Chrome (go to Chrome > chrome) and make sure you have the latest version running.

      AHA! I had restarted Chrome but did not after the installation. I have done this now and it's fine. I managed to get into the image of the tree and hardware acceleration disabled. Facebook seems to work ok in Chrome now. I'm going to test other browsers.

      Looks like you've cracked smaily, for me at least! Following your advice, I turned off the hardware acceleration in Chrome and via the instructions from Adobe, you posted.  He now works in Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge. Thank you very much!

    Welcome to the forum. Thanks for posting, but sharper which is not the purpose of this forum.

    Related software RealPlayer and Flashplayer have had problems in the past and we documented it. I don't know if, at the moment updated to current versions of Realplayer also solve the problem. In addition, Windows > = Vista disabling protected mode of the Flash Player can be a workaround.

    If you do not want help

    • Note the Details of the system more side will inform if posters follow the guests, you will be able to see who has Flash Player and RealPlayer installed.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    When I go to a site web flash I have a subscription to (stock data), it does not load, but the same page load in Chrome (chrome). This is the best info I have at the moment. I have latest flash on firefox 18.

    In fact, it occurred to me later that afternoon, but I use Gentoo, which normally builds of the source (because I'm hardcore like that). I uninstalled the normal version and reinstalled binaries precompiled and everything works. I'm happy again and just need to play with the source build options, I can do later.

  • After having reinstalled FFox and Adobe Flash Player, why is a certain company Web page does not load, but it does in Internet Explorer.

    For some reason a business the company website does not load on my desktop PC. The page is grey and white with a few titles and a circle in the middle which goes around and round. I have previously (a few months ago) has been able to access the site (and have for years). I am running Windows 7. I have cleared my cache, reinstalled FireFox, reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (even tried downgrading Flash version 10). If I use IE, the loading of the page of the site with all the graphics, etc. very well, I have all the same features of FF on my laptop. The site opens well on my laptop. What's next?

    If it works in Firefox Safe mode and then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

    Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')
