• Should I buy the W520 or wait?

  Hello, this is my first post here.

  I am looking to buy Lenovo W520 because of the reputation of the Thinkpad. I usually do splurge on a computer and use it for almost 5 years before replacement. That said, I make sure that it will not be obsolete shortly after I get it (as an important product update a month or two later, I had this experience before and quite frankly, I was disappointed). I noticed that the W520 has been out for a while now and my question is - should I feel confident in buying the W520 this month, or should I expect to see something like a model W530 soon?

  Also, I don't need to wait for Windows 8, or whatever it is. I'm glad 7.

  I appreciate your thoughts beforehand.

  I must say that W520 is a great phone if it works as the specification of the product described, however, in reality, there are a few issues that are not yet fully resolved yet. What worries me the most are:

  1 mode doesn't work is not "out of the box", in my case, I got stuck at a low frequency often under voltage AC and battery. No update BIOS to version 1.30 has solved this problem. However, I managed to solve the problem by restarting the laptop and other users were able to resolve this problem with some software tools, not a fundamental problem, but can still be annoying at times. You will certainly find on this problem in the various discussions in this forum.

  2. the risk of random stop: the laptop freezes and shuts down without error message or Disconnections, you can read about it more than a long thread with 38 pages.   If you want to be mobile and consider always with you, but small screen is not a big problem for you I recommend you buy the new Satellite U500.

  To work each day at home only and for all the activity I recommend buying the laptop with a larger screen like Satellite A500.

  I don't really know what you want to do with your laptop and it is not easy to give advice without knowing your needs.
  If you want o have cell phone of all time with you and surfing on the internet in the café or on the bus station is then NB200 best choice for you.

The purpose of the switch is the requirement for me to have a computer (with an operating system in its own right) that I can use for computer science stuff. However, I'm worried about the MacBook Air 13 (Early 2015; the 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD model) is how obsolete, and its durability. I not looking for a laptop that will last me a year and performance degradation that are present or any downgrade of the user experience. I expect a computer that will give me at least 3 years of service and still work without any problems (excluding the damage caused to the user, but assume that I am a responsible person).

  I currently have an Asus router ac68u from T Mobile. It worked well this year I got it, but with one problem. USB 3 external HARD disk configuration and the service is terrible. The firmware is crippled by T-Mobile and does not have some built-in functions that it should have. I really want to be able to use it with time machine for my MacBook pro and my IMac 27 at the same time. The problem is the speed of backups and fear to use it to view files on the internet. After days of reading and research, my first thought was to replace it with a time Capsule. I would tend to think that the installer would be much less of a headache and it would be much safer way for Mac on the normal FTP or Samba which offer other routers.

  After reading so many comments, I'm wondering 3 things:

  1. the age of the technology of the time Capsule.

  2. the speed and the autonomy of the time Capsule.

  3. Wifi calling under a load.

  The peak use, there will be 14 devices share the router. But the most common are scenarios, four 802.11ac devices using Skype, youtube and Netflix at the same time with a wired broadcast LAN 4 k video peripheral. And 2 readers of streaming HD video over 802.11n.

  It strained my Asus router, but it keeps her on. My service is cable 150mg and I get full 150mg less than 30 feet with a single connected device. The T Mobile router does a good job at wifi under full load calls. I guess it's because the QoS configuration they use.

  Then the time Capsule stand or perform at least as good as my AC68U using my home or should I be looking for a monster like the 3200 AC or an AC-5300 router and buy an external hard drive.   Lol version complete or not, you can't do an upgrade from any edition of Windows XP to any edition of Windows 7. You can use the updated version if Windows XP is installed, but you need to do a clean install (now what Microsoft calls a "custom" installation).

  Hi, well I got my Lenovo S8-50 for a few weeks now and I LOVE... There has not been one problem with gel or any other matter, it is very fast, the screen is amazing and I'll have a great time exploring the supply available aps android endless... I also ordered the case with what seems pretty good, also... has an auto off function when you open/close what is pure... I don't like not the gray color would have preferred black and wishes he had a place for a pen, but that's just me be picky... but I LOVE the tablet... either by the way, my friend ordered the same tablet at the same time and she is so very impressed... the Tablet actually decreased to $199 after that I bought and price Lenovo he corresponded and refunded the difference on my credit card (I think they do upwards to 30 days after purchase).
