  I try to open the Windows Live Messenger 2011 from a shortcut on my desktop, and it keeps error C:\Program Files \Windows Live\Messenger\msnmgr.exe. and said that the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.  Check the log of events applications for more details.

  What does that mean?  How can I fix it?  Help, please!

• Windows Media Center Configuration error

  Hello. I found people with this problem all over the internet but I have yet to get a final solution.

  My PC is running Vista Home Premium with Media Center the greats. It is connected to my wireless network.

  My Xbox is connected to the network directly, as he's sitting right next to her.

  My PC detects the Xbox in 'Network' and it appears as an Extender when I run the Media Center application. My Xbox gives me the 8 digit code and I put it. I said I want to share media, and it then goes to the configuration bit extender. Then it says Configuration error.

  I have enabled Media Player via my firewall, open all the necessary local ports and don't have any other firewalls up. I don't know what is happening.

  I'd like to get this up and running, so any help is welcome.

• Can the Configuration Error: 16 be resolved?

  Here's the problem:

  Cannot start one of my Adobe products. I get a window that says configuration error (error: 16) and please uninstall and reinstall the product. I read on other posts that reinstalling the software does not solve the problem either. I also tried to change the permissions in the Adobe folder and tried to run as root user. Abandoned to this point. So as stated in the error, I contacted Adobe via chat to see if the problem could be solved. I chatted with Adobe on the error Code: 16 (Setup error) and after being transferred to various support people they finally told me that my problem is only supported through forums before abruptly ending my cat. So I'm back here again and hope someone can guide me through this problem since I was not so tech savvy.

  Please use the Adobe cleaning tool to remove current adobe applications. (Use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems)

  Agree with others, I need clear instructions step by step to solve this problem.

  I started having side by side configuration errors trying to open Chrome.  It then spread to Quicken.  Then Norton.  I took my laptop to a computer store to fix.   It has been cleaned and "fixed."  But tonight just trying to open a PDF file, I'm back for another side by side configuration error.  When does this stop?  How can I get rid of this error for good?

  More side by side configuration errors are caused by the lack of runtime C++ components or corruption.

  I would install all of the following conditions:
  Package redistributable Visual C++ 2005 (X 86)

  Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x 86)

  Yesterday I upgaded to Windows live essentials 2011. Since then, every time I start messenger, it me signed to and then remained "is not responding.

  I have Windows 7 pro 64-bit system.

  Although I unchecked him "automatically detect connection settings" & checked the "Use Software Rendering instead of GPU Rendering" checkbox and then restarted Internet Explorer and I used GPU for energy rather than high-performance GPU, Windows Live Messenger 2011 is unresponsive after starting.
