• I downloaded the update to FF twice, but the web sites are not displayed despite my being on the page. Also restarted.

  Since you seem to use Avast, let me explore a possible explanation...

  Did you know the secure certificate errors, for example the sec_error_bad_signature error code? If you have Firefox create an 'exception' to approve a suspicious certificate, concerning only the main server, and if the site gets its style sheets from a server secure, then the page without style.

  The most common reason for the 'sec_error_bad_signature' many sites seems to be the shield of Web of Avast. Web Shield intercepts your navigation and filter, but to filter sites secure, it has "fake" certificates for Firefox. Avast have set Firefox to rely on its false certificates, but which seems to fail on a regular basis.

  To test this theory, try disabling scanning of encrypted sites. I saw these steps in another post:

  1. Open the Avast dashboard on an affected system.
  2. Select settings in the left side menu.
  3. Adopt a Protection Active.
  4. Click on customize next to the Web Shield.
  5. Uncheck the option "Enable HTTPS analysis", and then click ok

  If that solves the problem, but you want to filter encrypted communication, you need to import the Avast! signature in Firefox Certificate Manager of certificates, References tab.

• Images on Web sites are not clearly displayed

  Dear all,

  The last month or so I noticed that the images on Web sites are not as clear as they used to be. Seem to be blurred. This isn't a big help when im buying cosmetics or clothing that the images are not clear enough to see what im buying. This isn't just a website its all.

  Ive not changed anything on my laptop I know, his race just like when I bought it.

  Anyone have any suggestions for me to try?

  When I try to load the website http://gao-subs.com/ , it seems that firefox does not display the background image (and several other things) but it works fine on IE. I asked several other people and they seem to have no problem to display the Web site using the ff.

  Also, when I came here looking for help, I have been unable to the indicator and connect using firefox (so I am currently using IE for this post). It gives a

  error when I try to register/login.

  I already tried to delete all my cookies and cache, but that has not worked. I had also turned off all customization process only in ff as well as disabling ipv6, but nothing helped, I didn't.

  I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop because it became mega sucky and slow after three years to have. In any case, the keys on the keyboard are not how they were originally. For example, pressing SHIFT + ' originally produced @, now is '. '. Also initially produced shift + 2 "now it's @." There are a few questions like these across the keyboard. Could someone point me in the right direction to solve this?

  Control Panel > regional and Language Options > languages.  Click on the Details button and change the entry to the keyboard.
