You must complete the download of Sierra. It is a very large file and will take some time, especially on a slow Internet connection.

  • Sierra Mac OS startup problems

Since the upgrade to Mac OS Sierra on my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, mi 2014) I had starting problems. Before that my Mac should restart within seconds (usually less than 10-15 seconds); Since the upgrade, it took more than 4 minutes when I click on restart when I can log in. And I only actually get to the login screen about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, it just hangs and doesn't restart at all (black white screen, keyboard enlightened and illuminated Apple logo on the case). In these situations, I have to force power off (holding down the power button, then press power to restart). This problem occurs regardless of whether or not I am logged on my account or simply by using the "Restart" button on the login screen. Any help or ways to shoot bad, it would be appreciated.

Try to start in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key when starting). Reset.

  • problems with Sierra

Since download macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro I couldn't access one of my external hard drives, my mac just does not recognize them in Finder although she acknowledged more small sticks of data. Can someone help me?

When I go to disk utility, that the external drive is there but the system indicates that the disk is full. Anyway, that I can't have my data.

I spent over an hour with technical support and they were also perplexed I was much help in the end. Their only suggestion was that the configuration of the software had been changed by the download and I'd need to buy a new external drive and copy my files across using another machine. Well I bought a new external drive today only to find that it is not recognized either in the Finder and is also read as full in disk utility.

Any ideas people? I would really appreciate your help

External drive would not be formatted with the NTFS file system isn't it?

If it's a Seagate external drive, you can download the NTFS driver compatible Sierra of http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/ntfs-driver-for-mac-os-master-dl/

  • the Sierra with the old Mac compatibility

I use two computers, both running under OS El Capitan.

I have an iMac from early 2011. It run Sierra?

I have a MacBook Pro of 2009. It run Sierra?

What happens if my iMac has Sierra and the MacBook Pro has El Capitan? Sierra 'modernize' my photos so that they do not share on my MacBook Pro? Passwords? Mail application?

My 2011 iMac runs Sierra very well. The more RAM you can throw at it, the better. I have 12 GB in mine.

A 2009 MacBook Pro can not run Sierra. It requires a model mid-2010 or later.

  • After the update of Sierra: not to Disable Trackpad with Magic Mouse connected

    Hello

After that I updated to macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro the Trackpad is not disable mouse connected with Magic.

Feature: MacBook Pro retina 15 inches (end of 2014) on macOS Sierra.

Since the update, I noticed that my stays compatible with my Magic Mouse connected after built-in trackpad window connection.

In system-> accessibility-> mouse and Trackpad preferences, I have not "ignore the built-in trackpad when mouse or trackpad wireless is present". If I switch it off and on again once again, the parameter will be.

However, once I lock the device (user name right-> connection... window) and reconnect, the trackpad works. You must pass the parameter each time.

Is this a bug of Mac OS Sierra (can't find anything) or am I missing something? I am aware that the trackpad is reactivated at the login window, but before it will deactivate after logging in.

I don't use Magic Mouse, but I have USB Wired mouse and I have the same problem since installing Sierra.

I have the box ticked, but I must go and clear the check box and then save.

I have to use a mouse all the time because my trackpad goes haywire and I wasn't able to find a solution for this. It moves its own and open stuff on its own.

  • Sierra - Menu bar - Beachballing with frozen time

Since Sierra on 2 MacBook that I sometimes noticed that the time in the menu bar is not updated and if I put my mouse over the menu bar it is beachballing.  A restart of the MacBook solve the problem... until next time.

    Anyone else seeing this?

I see this same question. I noticed is all the native OSX system elements in the menu that are frozen bar (volume Yes, wifi, battery, time, airplay, siri, etc.), but the non-native elements are not frozen (slack, dropbox, etc.).

  • A problem so that macOS installation Sierra cleaning!

    Hello.

I tried to perform a new installation of macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010), but whenever I do, I get a message (only during the last minute of the preparation for installation) saying, "the Office Installer signature verification failure. If someone please tell me what this means and how to fix? I would be grateful!

Either way, I previously successfully installed OSX previous versions on my MacBook Pro and all installations went smoothly and without problems. macOS Sierra is clean-installed successfully on my iMac (27 inch, mid-2011)!

Generally, this means that something is damaged in the installation image.

Try to download the installer again.
