Signal directed to a T61 exploded

Hi all.

Can someone help me with this one?

Signal LED that everything has exploded in the last month, one by one... T61 works fine (about 2 years), but the leds are all off...

It doesn't bother me much, but I would like to know what has happened and is it fixable?

Happy holidays...

Goran

you need to replace the led on the circuit board, it is not a software problem.

  • LabVIEW Express signal

    Hello

I'm just starting to learn how to use labView: signalexpress and I'm looking for advice on a project.

I tried to produce a signal in a loop with a "saw-tooth" ramp that lasts for 2 seconds, going from 0V to 1V and is followed by a 1 second pause of stimulation (between two sawtooth ramps). I'd be very happy with the direction of someone who can give me a brief step by step in the production of this specific model.

    Thank you!

    GYepes,

The signal you want to generate is not a conventional signal, so you will not be able to create the signal directly in SignalExpress.  I would suggest creating an array of points in an ASCII file and then import this set of points in the SignalExpress stage.  Take a look at pages 3-1 to 3-8 in this document for instructions on how to do it: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373873f.pdf

  • Not labeled as signals Qt signals

I'm trying to connect the signal wallpaperLockStateChanged HomeScreen, but NDK claims that it is not marked as Qt signals and when I ran the app anyway, NDK does not claim these exist no signal.

    The error is:

HomeScreen::wallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type wallpaperLockState) has not been marked as a Qt signal; Make sure that all parameter types are fully qualified

This signal is described here in the official documentation

I tried to copy - paste the name of signal directly from my browser, no luck.

The code in question looks like this:

    QObject::connect

(& homeScreen, SIGNAL (wallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type wallpaperLockState)),)

    (& applicationUI, SLOT (onWallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type wallpaperLockState)));

    The location is defined in applicationui.hpp as a public slot implementation in the .cpp, currently there are that of qDebug("AAA");

As a side note, I can connect with the signal of lockStateChanged very well.

So, what happens here? Googling for this does not answer. The only case where this kind of error occurred was settled by do not use the problematic signal altogether

    Here, I am puzzled

    Yes, I'm stupid.

The reason why it says 'no signal was' is because I put the arguments along, then, instead:

    QObject::connect

(& homeScreen, SIGNAL (wallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type wallpaperLockState)),)

    (& applicationUI, SLOT (onWallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type wallpaperLockState)));

    I should put this:

    QObject::connect

(& homeScreen, SIGNAL (wallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type)),)

    (& applicationUI, SLOT (onWallpaperLockStateChanged (bb: platform::WallpaperLockState:Type)));

In the second example, note the lack of argument of the function.

I hope this can help some other poor decoration there. Also, the NDK should said QObject to connect has no need of the arguments of the function, that would make a lot of sense more

  • Airport Extreme dislike gigabit speed

I'm having a strange problem. Backstory... I have an older Ooma VoIP device. It works very well.  The connection is Modem > Ooma > router - my modem (ARRIS Surfboard SB6141) and I use Airport Extreme. When the devices are connected as indicated everything works fine. The modem has a 'connection' light which is orange with this configuration. According to the manual of the modem, this light indicates Ethernet (10Base-T) or Fast Ethernet (100Base-T) is running.  When I remove the Ooma system and connect the modem directly to the router, the yellow led lights up blue saying that the signal that the modem sends is now a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T).  Sounds great, but my router then ceases to broadcast and distribute a signal, directly and without wire connected with a cat6 cable.

You could say, then leave him alone and I can do, but I'm willing to reconfigure my system with updated Ooma device, and causes my modem from orange to blue, thus losing my Wi - Fi.  I talked to Arris (modem does not work as expected), I talked to Ooma (if the signal is working on their device, they see not the problem). So that the leaves of the router.  Can anyone figure out what's going on? Why did I lose my signal when I go directly from the modem to the router when the speed seems to be better?  (Yes, I restart both modem and router in the right order).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    David

It seems that your Ooma device only supports (up to) 100 Mbps Ethernet connections. On the other hand, does your AirPort Extreme support 1 Gbps Ethernet.

The reason why you can be make connectivity issues when connecting your Arris modem to an extreme that is there has been many positions related to this. Specifically and the problem of incompatibility between the SB61XX series modems and airport base stations. This is not bad in themselves, they just don't "play well" together. Typical complaints is poor, transfer rate, and inconsistent Internet connectivity.

    Basically, you have two choices:

    1. Replace the Arris modem with another modem series of non-SB61XX. If you plan to go this route, you must select a modem recommended by your ISP.
    2. Replace your extreme with a non-Apple router.
  • Volume is out of control (gets his "own life") - triggers ATV volume goes to the maximum or minimum in a matter of a minute.

    Hello

    I come from Apple TV.

When turning on our ATV volume it triggers that our volume of receiver Denon drifting slowly to maximum or minimum-, it takes about 1 min to do this.

Tried to connect directly to our Denon receiver and our Sony TV ATV. Problem happens in two configurations. I tried different options to turn off the smart controls which offers the latest HDMI - ATV standard both our TV (for example, disable the automatic volume control).

By turning the ATV and the new (menu system) will stop the problem for awhile - but same problem returns after 1 to 5 mins.

I spent 8 hours in the last days trying to make it work. Looks like a bug in the SW of the ATV? (i.e. Disabling smart control of ATV does not take effect).

Desipite being impossible to use, I don't want to damage my 20K speaker system. I am close to my unit back and get a Chromecast instead.

Any help to fix this would be appreciated!

System: Apple TV Gen 4 + Denon AVR 2313 + Sony KDL 60w605 all the connected HDMI (and 3 other units that work very well).

Sounds like a defective remote control.  With HDMI control off the coast, it seems possible, that the remote control is to turn off the IR signals directly to the receiver.  Try to cover the distance before or the façade.  In any case, I would return the unit.  During the test leave in the main menu and just look at the level of the volume on the receiver.  Do not play anything to avoid overload problems.

    Post your receiver model number.

  • Airport Apple Time Capsule vs Rogers Advanced WiFi Modem Configuration

Between the use of the advanced WiFi modem from Rogers and airport Time Capsule from Apple - a better/more strong WiFi signal will offer?

I'm under Apple Airport time Caro as my router now (with Rogers Advanced WiFi modem mode 'bridge').    However - my WiFi connection is weak/inconsistent even after adding 1 Airport Express to extend the network.    My Modem/router are connected with a 2 foot Cat6 my ground floor, with the Airport Express on the floor to extend the reach (via WiFi - not the ethernet connection).

When I reset my router/modem, get full power - however, after a couple days I get slower speeds.

Any ideas how to fix?  Users are finding you work better than the other?

Between the use of the advanced WiFi modem from Rogers and airport Time Capsule from Apple - a better/more strong WiFi signal will offer?

Turn on the Rogers modem in router mode and launch his wifi... Plug the TC and run it in bridge, but also launch wireless audio... There is absolutely NO reason not to use both... You will often find the 2.4 ghz superior to the airport the Rogers Wireless. Apple has deliberately reduced its speed... If you need set channels wireless manual... for example of Rogers on the TC on Channel 6 and channel 11.

5 GHz has penetration and poor range, especially when you look at the wireless signal directly above or below any router... It is of course extremely beneficial to use ethernet between the floors... Run the Rogers down and move the TC on the floor... that gives you much better signal allows you to get the most out of two wireless routers.

Extend (Repeater) wireless using the Express will condemn you slow wireless forever. Repeaters by their nature even halve the speed of the connection... and if you place the Express in a poor signal area... getting worse. Express should be located to midway between the two... no physical distance but the power of the signal... If it gets bad signal, it will give terrible results since its own signal will be strong for customers.

Test it... give up the Express... run ethernet to the top of the stairs and just try it with the TC to the right place.

  • Adjustment to the high network roaming in condo wired Ethernet (no Modem)

HI - our condo has one Ethernet Jack in every room with the signal directly from the building router. The IP address is unique for all the outlets in our condo.

In my office, I have a cable of the Time Capsule to taking Ethernet to my office. I have other devices connected to the TC, so he needs to stay there. Unfortunately, it is not very centrally located in our condo.

In our room, the signal often falls because it is the longest distance in our condo to the TC. But... we have an ethernet jack in our room.

So I bought an AirPort Express, but the installation seems to really push "extended network" wireless. Because the signal is somehow in our room, it is unnecessary to EI in there. So I set to halfway between the two. On the floor, not in a large space.

I would like to set up a 'of roaming network', but I can't seem to reproduce the screen shot in these instructions:

Wi - Fi base stations: install and configure a roaming network (802.11 a/b/g/n)-Apple Support

But, in addition, their illustrations make it look like the AE should be wired in the TC.

I tried using the WAN of AE port, but that didn't do it.

Is this possible? Any direction would be great. Of course, I want the effect of the '1 network for our entire condo' and not switching WiFi networks for different parts of the housing.

    Thank you!

    Jon

So I bought an AirPort Express, but the installation seems to really push "extended network" wireless.

This happens when the Ethernet connection is not working, or you did not the Ethernet connection before trying to implement the Express. Use a short piece of spare Ethernet cable... any length will do... to connect the Express to the time Capsule to implement the Express in this way. After setting the Express up to... Move the Express at the remote location and the Ethernet connection it.

If it doesn't work there, then you know that the Ethernet port or cable is not working properly.

I would like to set up a 'of roaming network', but I can't seem to reproduce the screen shot in these instructions:

Wi - Fi base stations: install and configure a roaming network (802.11 a/b/g/n)-Apple Support

Unfortunately, these instructions are 4 years and more, so the General information of the document is good, the specificities of 'how to' would not be used. Instead, you use Apple 'Installation Wizard', which literally did almost everything for you automatically on the installer.

After the back if you need some advice.

  • Interference WiFi live-Roku?

In the process of upgrading and troubleshooting our network domestic wi - fi, I have stumbled on the interference of the signal direct-Roku a neighbor and am looking for suggestions on how to avoid new disturbances.

Our network (prompted and primary) is generated by a time Capsule (ac 802.11, 2.4 and 5 GHz) and extended by a 4th generation Time Capsule (802.11n, 2.4 and 5), but is in a fairly busy area (about 15-30 SSID is visible at any time) and drops or often slows.  Run the wireless diagnostics identifies a County Code error (and of course the channel congestion).  When I scan the visible SSID, one poster code from countries other than the United States.  This is the signal Direct-Roku (registered as the Q2 country code) and is strong enough.  Unlined home in aluminum foil, have no recourse?  I read about setting up a dummy network with an old router to avoid problems 802.11 d in crowded places.  This work with a wi - fi direct report?  Wouldn't it just cause the channel congestion more?

With that many neighbors Wi-Fis, it can be very difficult for access point wireless of any manufacturer, not just the base stations of the airport, to find a channel "clear" they would not interfere with. Generally, should use an all-wired, not something you were hoping.

... and country Q2 code would be New Zealand. Direct-Roku is a Wi-Fi-to-peer network that allows the Roku and its remote control communicate directly. It is based on a Wi - Fi Direct connection, which can operate on networks 802.11a/g/n... which means that both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Not 100% sure that the Roku devices operate on.

Unlined home in aluminum foil, have no recourse?

Unfortunately, not much. If you are familiar with your neighbors, you could try to raise the issue with them. However, even if they are willing to help, they, most likely, the same problems as you. Yet once, all wired connections will definitely solve this problem.

  • Tecra M10 and Express Port Replicator, no DVI to Toshiba 20 "LCD output

    Hello

As the bed of the subject line, I will put up a new Tecra M10 with the Express Port Replicator and monitor LCD Toshiba Tekbright 20 ".

The system works on Windows XP, and the ordinary VGA connection on the port replicator works fine when connected to the external LCD.

However, there seems to be no way to get the DVI interface on port replicator, working on the LCD.

I tried to run this utility, and it does not detect the DVI monitor at all.
    http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm

I have updated graphics drivers Intel for XP, form the Web from Toshiba site and also have the latest version of the BIOS.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much
    Paul

    Hello paul

Your Tecra M10 has DVI port?
Replicator port is not some sort of converter and it will be just a loop through the signal directly from the laptop.
If the computer laptop doesn t supports DVI output you cannot expect to get signal from the port replicator.

  • Digital input current limits

    Hello

After reading everything that specifications and manuals, I decided to ask a general question.

In the data sheets, user guides I've read, in general, there are two warnings for DIO:

-Do not connect the outputs digital circuits which operates above the limits.

-Do not drive the line with tensions outside its operating range.

Generally speaking they tell me I need to know when dealing with output and voltage when dealing with entries. So I have this question, can I wire a power supply for digital inputs directly without exceeding its "beach of normal operation and without any protection circuit? In fact, my feelings, this is not possible. But why certain documents produced clearly mention that the impedance internal inputs while that of others is not clear those? How can I determine if I can connect a signal directly to an entry (for example USB-6525 indicates a current limiter circuit, but I don't see a clear explanation in the datasheet USB-6251)?

As long as the input voltages are within specified limits, no damage will be the DAQ hardware. Logic devices often have two lines of non overlapping input, one for low input and high input. If the input voltage lies between the beaches, the performance of the device can be unpredictable. Also, check your power supply to make sure that this doesn't not exceeding when turned on or off as that could exceed the DAQ limit.

  • Using NI 9512 with Modulation of frequency step Position? (cRIO)

I am trying to activate a scene for an experience that requires a frequency on the step signal modulation to a stepper motor. I use a cRIO-9076, a NO-9512 and driver to drive stepper P70530 OR third party engine step by step. step VI FM Position seems to be exactly what I need for my application, but I have some difficulty working with him and the NI 9512.

Is it possible to use the 9512 in an FPGA VI?  THE ETC. requires use in a single-cycle timed loop, so I want to send the step and Direction signals directly to the FPGA of e/s for the 9512. The 9512, however, does not set up to use FPGA to IO. In research, I found some examples using the 9501 instead of the 9512 module, but this would require a lot of new material that I don't think I should buy.

I would greatly appreciate some suggestions as to what to do and even of ideas as to how I could fix this problem.

    Thank you

    Enan

    Hi Enan,

When you use the 9512 in scan mode, the NI SoftMotion Module will send a position setpoint at 9512 once each evaluation period (the period of analysis is usually around 1 to 10 msec). The 9512 does not generate a path; It just interpolates between the values given. It is your responsibility as the programmer to ensure that values being sent to the 9512 are sinusoidal. To do this, the easiest method is to use a contour move and fill the contour buffer with a profile of the sine wave. You can generate a sine wave using something like the model sine VI profile. He ship in SoftMotion examples that show how to perform a move of contour.

In my view, contours movement require SoftMotion Standard or Softmotion Premium. If you have SoftMotion Lite, the only way to get a real path sine wave is to build the model of the sine wave on the host of the RT and send him to the FPGAS in a FIFO. You could also build the model of the sine wave directly on the FPGA. You will then write the sine wave point by point to the Write 9512 method. It is more difficult to achieve, so if you have SoftMotion Standard or Premium, I would recommend the move approach outline.

    Thank you

  • Measurement of frequency with CompactRio

    Dear all

I have an anemometer which sends digital signals. I'm trying to analyze the signal to determine the speed of the wind.

I have one NOR cRio-9024 and NI 9205. When I connect the anemometer, it gives me some positives square rear tension (see attachment). I wonder if I could turn this to the readings of frequency because it is linear to the wind speed.

I tried to follow the link below, but my module does not have the option of digital Configuration specialist

  • DAQ 6008 & 6211 counting

    Hi all.

I work with an application that is count the pulses of an encoder hollow shaft renco to measure the distance traveled on a platform single axis powered by a ball screw and controlled by an engine step by step. The encoder is mounted at the opposite end of the motor directly to the ball screws.

That said encoder has 100 impulses per revolution and at the moment im using only 1 channel on its release to make the count. I use the channel of single window on a DAQ 6008 real counting down.

    Here's my problem.

When I run the engine at a moderate speed and measure count pulses from a full trip on the axis I get 8200 impulses. If I reverse the engine now and bring it back at the same speed, the full trip will give the same 8200 impulses which is exactly what I want. However, if I run the motor at extremely slow speeds the same 8200 impulses correspond to only 3 quarters of the race on the same axis.

My hypothesis is that at top speed the DAQ 6008 lacks a large number of charges. I am correct in this assumption?  I will soon have access to a DAQ 6211. This will provide a more reliable metering device?.

Thanks in advance guys. I'd appreciate comments.

It is just as likely (if not more) that you are picking up additional indictments at the slower speed - you can confirm enough easily by calculating how many pulses to be emitted during the movement of the platform to the desired distance.

The signal directly from a quadrature encoder can be quite noisy.  The 6008 is only able to edge simple counting, so no noise on a front amount could lead on Board being counted more than once.

The 6211 supports a specific type of channel linear encoder, which configures the meter to use both signals A and B of the encoder.  In this mode, the meter requires alternating the edges of A and B to continue incrementing, which means a noisy transition will always only picked up like an edge.

In case you do not have access to both A and B signals (or if the encoder is particularly noisy for some reason any and produced false edges in the middle of a period of high/low), the 6211 also supports filters PFI (link pdf Manual of use).

  • How to increase the performance of xy-graph

    Hello

I'm running a continuous collection of data with a NI PCI 6133 (4 x channel HAVE @ 2, 5MS/s each) on a WIN 7 PC (LabView FDS 2012). Inside a while loop I'm able to acquire 2000 samples per loop for each channel with a stable performance loop of about 1, 25 kHz. Out of these data, I'm 24 calculation values that will be shown on 6 xy-graphs (4 values on each chart). Data acquisition runs up to 2 minutes.

Preparation of data and setting xy-graphs updated seems to be a big bottleneck. For this I wrote a simple point of interest, by comparing the xy-graph and table diagram performance clearify. For the same amount of data, the chart table is about 3 times faster, according to the ability to draw only the last value again. The xy-graph must update the whole plot of each iteration.

If I also remove the preparation of complex data of the xy-chart, the chart diagram is up to 6 times faster.

    Landmark xy-graph

Diagram graph of reference (including the preparation of data for chart xy)

Benchmark graph diagram (without preparation of data for chart xy)

    Questions

-Are there a way to optimize the data part of preparation of the xy-graph?

-Is it possible to draw only the last value again in a xy chart as a graphic diagram?

Why can I not use a graphic diagram?

-Because the time base is not constant.

    My ideas:

(1.) during measurement, I use a graphical diagram. I know that there will be some failure according to the variable time base. After the acquisition of the acquired data will be shown in xy-graphs (as an only necessary update) with the good time base.

2.), I show all the data in a xy chart. Maybe just values the last 1000 would be sufficient.

XY-graph with simply display the last 1000 values of reference

Are there other ideas how to speed up xy-graphs?

Thank you very much and best regards,

    Michael

This does not mean that you cannot use a chart.  You should read my injurywaveform charts nugget.  As long as you acquire your DAQmx device signals, you can wire all your signals directly in the table and it will load the time base.

  • DAQmx: With relaxing break pulse blocking

I have a NI 9401 module in a chassis 9171 and stand at the door of the output of a counter with the release of another counter. 1 meter (the signal to be blocked) generates a 3 Mhz signal and meter from 0 (the door) generates a 10 Hz signal that is sent outside to door pin of 1 meter. I expect this would be counter 1 door signal to produce the 3 Mhz flashes only when the counter 0 is high, but the wiring had no effect on the output of the 1 meter, it has always generated a continuous pulse train of 3 Mhz.  I found that a code is necessary to get a counter to pay attention to the signal to his door pin (this message was particularly useful) and it can be done with the node property relaxing break. After you have configured the node, however, I fell into this error:

Error-20124 occurred at DAQmx start Task.vi:2
Lines 4 to 7 of this port are configured for the entry. Cannot configure these lines for output at this time.

I'm quite puzzled by the present.  The problem seems to come try it designate 5 PFI ('CTR 1 door' on the 9401) as the source of relaxing break.  If anything, I think the error would be that lines 4-7 are configured for output, since these lines are grouped under CTR 1, which is configured as a channel of CO to generate the 3 Mhz pulse train, and the definition of line 5 as the break source changes the configuration on an entry.  Looking for this error in the forums OR and Google isn't pulling up of troubleshooting information.  I tried to create a task to configure line 5 as a separate digital input channel, but then I get the error saying (error-200125) opposite that lines 4-7 are configured for output and cannot be configured at the entrance, to make things more confusing.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.  I'm afraid I'm missing something obvious about blocking the impulses or CO channel configuration as I continue to read that one of the benefits of DAQmx on Legacy DAQ, is that it makes easier routing signal.  I'm using LabVIEW 2012 (32 bit) with DAQmx 9.5.5 installed.

    Hi agoncalves,

I took a glance at your VI and I see two immediate problems:

    1. it is not guaranteed that the two tasks will be reserve before the start of each one.  This explains your error and why it seems confusing.  The 9401 is configurable nibble, but you cannot change the direction while the device is being used (why the reserves are important).  The module starts with two nibbles the input value.  Your first task causes an exit so it switches direction on one of them.  When your task is committed (started), it hangs in this configuration.  The second task then also try an output drive, but on the other nibble that is entered and can not be activated because the first task is currently running.  The solution is to use the thread of the error to force the order of execution (or use a flat sequence structure).

    2. you won't run out of problems with your trigger signal unless that connected you to a separate entrance (and put the two trains of pulses on the nibble even).  You can change that by setting the property of canal CO. Pulse.Term. that's if you want to spend your signal through a few circuits external and back in.  If you use the signal directly, you can just use it internally.  By example/cDAQ1Mod1/ctr0InternalOutput
