2.2 SDK install with the existing signature tool
Hi all
I just installed the SDK software WebWorks 2.2 on my machine that had already been recorded for signature tool. When I run the 2.2 bbwp process and add the key to existing signature tool, is not through the package manager process.
[ERROR] Cannot sign the application - could not find signature keys
Anyone know what I should do in this case?
Is there a way I can use existing signature files or what I have to redo the entire signature process?
Any help is very appreciated!
Please read the docs here - https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/ww_publishing/signing_your_ww_smartphone_app...
See the section "after an SDK upgrade.

Hello
II having problems with the signature tool. When I send a request, the State has been "Receive the response" but this response never comes. In the meantime, I get a confirmation e-mail.
I would like to know if this process is very slow even, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.
The problem is not my account or the service. I get the confirmation email. I think that the "Tool of Signature" Java application crashes after sending demand. Because I have managed to get a few signatures, but out of 100 attempts does not.
No one has a history of this problem? I think that the problem is inside the "signature tool»

Failure of the signature tool - see details
I have been using the Signature tool with success over the past few months. Today, when I try to sign in eclipse, I get the message 'Failed - see details' in the Signature tool window. I couldn't understand how know.
Could you tell me how to see details?
Also, I have a question. When I run the signing tool to sign during the signing process it access a server somewhere? If this is the case, if this server is down, that would be my signature process?
Today, for example, is it possible that the server is down for everyhing worked fine until today? Is there a way to check if the server is down but a few clicks?
Thank you for your responnse.
I know only two reasons to get this error.
The first - you gave the wrong password.
The second - signature of the servers are down.
If you are unsure that you have entered the correct password, the reason is - signature of the servers are down.
These servers are down from time to time for maintenance purpose.
I do not know the ip addresses exact os signature servers. In this case, I'm just trying to sign my request a little later.

Hi people,
Stupid question, but someone can remind me how...
I deleted and reinstalled the JDE (4.1).
Now when I try to use the signing tool, the State is "Non-registered" (red instead of the usual blue).
And when I try to download the signatures, I get this message:
"Unable to signatures asking until this application has been registered with all the powers of signature required."
Way back when, I paid $100, registered blah blah blah, blah blah blah...
And I've been successfully deploy my applications on my device since then. (Until I reinstalled the JDE).
I don't know I just need to redo part of this process, but I do not remember exactly all the stuff I need to do.
It is said in the help double-click the file (s) .csi file...
"The private key could not be found... blah blah blah...". You want to create a new key pair file? »
I click Yes, expecting to be prompted for a password, as the help file says, but nothing happens.
By chance is what someone has done this recently, who can remember all the boring details of how to do this?
Thank you
My problem is that when I reinstalled the JDE 4.1, I deleted the folder "Blackberry JDE 4.1.0" integer, in an attempt to ensure a clean install.
This, of course, removed the "Blackberry JDE 4.1.0-bin" folder too, which contains the following files:
-sigtool.csk
-sigtool.db
-sigtool.set
So I just had to go to the basket and get the files from the old "Blackberry JDE 4.1.0-bin" folder and paste them into my new "Blackberry JDE 4.1.0-bin" folder.
Now my Signature tool works again

Hello
I'm trying to sign our application and the signature tool is suspended after getting about 20 of 54 signatures. Once it crashes it will never come back. I have to use the Task Manager to kill him. Anyone have any ideas on what goes wrong?
It worked fine for the last year. I'm stumped on what is happening today.

Jac Ridicule me. I installed the 1.7 version beta jdk. Looks like it's not quite finished baking yet. When I started jdk 1.5, I was able to sign without any problem.

Signature tool crashes when signing
Try to sign my application after the installation of BlackBerry Java Development Environment.
Installed RRT, RBB, CPR code signing keys.
The Signature tool is successful on CPR, even if they are optional, but it crashes on RBB (required).
I get emails indicating that all three code signature queries succeed, but the Signature tool, even the gui, is frozen just with «Receiver resp...» ».
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi and welcome to the forums!
Which version of Java you have installed? If you have version 7/1.7, this is related to a known compatibility issue:

>; >; Question of signature tool
Hi developers and aid !
I received emails from 3 with the .csi file.
So I saved the files in a folder and then followed the instructions (Eclipse Web Plug In):
(1) at the command prompt, navigate to the bin folder in the BlackBerry Widget Packager installation directory.
The default directories are:
type: cd + install directories (try both)
net \plugging\. RIM. Browser.Tools.wcpc\ wcpc\bin
C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry Widget Packager\bin(2) the following command, including the full path of the .csi file:
java-jar SignatureTool.jar <.csi file="" path="">at this point, I got an error "all files must have .cod extension."So if anyone knows how I can generate files of cod of the csi, I'll be very grateful to him
Thank you
To the command line for the Signature tool, you must pass the full path to the file .csi, not only the directory...
For example:
java-jar SignatureTool.jar "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Research in Motion\BlackBerry Widget Packager\bin\mycsifile.csi.

DPS 2015 Build releases - must update us the signature tool?
Every 3 weeks, a new build is released to 2015 DPS with new features and bug fixes. When these new versions are released, should update us our signature tool and any other active provided Adobe DPS 2015 we can use?
No need to update the signature only tool, it rarely changes. If/when he does it's usually just to provide better error messages for the signature of the errors we see in nature, no not to change the kernel that underlie the signature mechanism.
If an update of the signature tool is necessary it would be listed in our notes.

You do this through the online app for Android https://appbuilder.digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/#/login sign generator in, select the app you want to change, click the "pencil" to change up and rebuilt the app.
Then you use the DPS signature tool to sign your APK Android with a cert

Signature tool does not not on JDE 4.2
Hello
I JDE Version 4.2 and 4.5 JDE Version installed. Sign tool only works on JDE 4.5.
He used to work on JDE 4.2 as well.
How can I sign the work tool for the two d?
Thank you
It would be useful to know what measures you take, and what are the mistakes, if any, that you see.
The key database format changed with JDE 4.3, so if you have copied your GIS files of 4.5 to 4.2 and then tried to sign with the 4.2 SignatureTool that can fail. You should just use the SignatureTool provided with 4.5 to do everything what your signature.
If it is not to describe your environment then please provide additional information.
