Silly question on version numbers

I've always wondered, the last digit represents the bundle version?

for example, iTunes 12.4.1.6 means 12.4.1 in version 6?

Its a "build number", generally this will mean that the final version of 12.4.1 is the 6th generation of this version of the software, the previous having been internal releases Apple QA teams / beta-testers.

  • First time user VMware - perhaps a silly question re: server hardware

    Thus,.

I started using VMware a couple of days for the tests. I have a client who has VMware ESX Server 3i installed they have a HP Server and I have a Dell Server I installed the same version of VMware ESXi.

If I download their images run on Dell Server? Or is it that there is a problem?

PS - Sorry if this is a silly question

    Chris,

That's what VMware call the independence of the material. http://www.VMware.com/virtualization/virtual-machine.html#c25953

Basically, your VM has no knowledge of what is running on the hardware - so feel free to move to Dell for HP hardware and back.

However - vMotion, the displacement of an engine on the virtual machine from one server to another server requires similar processors on both hosts.

    I hope this helps.

  • Questions about versions

On-site I JDeveloper 11.1.1.5 with patch 12399372 and when I go to 'about' I see this:
    ADF Business Components     11.1.1.60.13
    Java(TM) Platform     1.6.0_24
    Oracle IDE          11.1.1.5.37.60.13
    Versioning Support     11.1.1.5.37.60.13
Now in the sense that we run in Bug 13058228 : CONVERTEREXCEPTION: not supported SIMPLESELECTMANYRENDERER of MODEL which is weird, because it is reported only for R2 (perhaps based bug 12676484 shows more but I'm not allowed to see)
I don't know what TERM ADF we run it, it's a WLS 10.3.5 installation so that they could not have installed ADF 11R2 accidentally, could they do it?

I found this blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/adf-how-to-find-out-which-adf-version-is-installed-on-a-manged-weblogic-server/ and I'm going to try to have this Web service installed on the server of the acceptance.

However, I have a few questions:
-Is a production server running ADF 11.1.1.5 need patch 12399372 ? (I did not)
-The webservice 11.1.1.60.13 on my local WLS says it's still officially 11.1.1.5 right? not 11.1.1.6?
n ' anyone can access to bug 12676484 and tell me that the other versions of 11.1.2.0.0 have this bug?

    Thanks for your help!

"I'm not sure what TERM ADF we run it, it's a WLS 10.3.5 installation so that they could not have installed ADF 11R2 accidentally, could they do it?

GR 11, 2 can run on servers time 10.3.5 and 10.3.6 then Yes, it is possible.

    ' Is a production server running ADF 11.1.1.5 need patch 12399372 ? (I didn't) »

Not that I know of. But you may need the bug fix. Confirm with Oracle Support.

"The webservice 11.1.1.60.13 on my local WLS says it's still officially 11.1.1.5 right? not 11.1.1.6? »

WebService? Do you mean the version of the component "ADF business components ' box you listed in your message about? If yes the key to version number is the last 4 digits that correspond with the JDev 11.1.1.5.0 build number 6013.

"can anyone access bug 12676484 and tell me that the other versions of 11.1.2.0.0 have this bug?

The system of bugs does not tell us this, should be so each version to test. However what I can tell you there is a backport fix for 11.1.1.6.0 which means that the bug was present at least that version. The fact this 12399372 patch for bug 12676484 tells us that it is too 11.1.1.5.0 I guess.

Try to figure out the bug, patch and version numbers are a pretty tedious task for people on this forum to keep track. May I suggest that apply you for taking in charge because that's what they are paid to do.

  • Different flash version numbers reported

I feel a strange anomaly in the reported for Showckwave Flash version numbers.

If I go to the Add-ons Manager (topic: addons), he said: I'm under Flash v. 16.0.0.296, but if I go to your checker plug-ins online (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/), he pointed out that I do work v. 16.0.0.305 - which is also what is reported by the Flash applet in the control panel.

If you can tell me why there is this difference and how to fix it?

    Kind regards
    Martin

    System:
    Win 64-bit 8.1
    Firefox 36.0

Hi Martin, who are normally the same.

Have you left and started Firefox back up again since your last Flash update? It is possible that the addons page has not caught up with what is actually on the disc now.

You can also check to see if you have both of these files in the usual place:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

The plugin files used by Firefox follow this naming scheme:

    NPSWF32_16_0_0_305.dll

When the four-part version number varies. You need only the most recent if there are multiple matches to this model.

IPhone 5s has a DEM double LED flash, you may need to enlarge the opening of flash in the case.

  • Where can I find the version numbers more up-to-date applications?

I'm looking for a place that simply shows the version numbers more recent applications, that it becomes difficult to understand.

You are looking for something like this in a list that is updated:

    • Adobe Photoshop
      • last: 2015.5
    • Adobe Premiere
      • last: 2015.3
    • ........

It sounds like something, adobe would have listed publicly somewhere.   If they don't, it would be something to be considered as a useful tool for users.

You can check the latest version of update at the bottom of the link, it is indexed properly as well as version numbers:

  • a silly question on vCPUs

    Hello

I'm sure this is a silly question on processors for a virtual machine but, I'm not entirely positive that I have correct and want just a confirmation.

I have a server with 2 processors to 6 hearts of each.  or 12 cores in total in the server.

When setting up a virtual machine and it lists the number of processors to give him, he's talking full processors or Cores?

for example if I do a VM CPU 1, is it gets access to 1 core or 6 hearts?

    Thank you

    Ian

IF the server is running multi-threads apps up-to-date, I give only 2 vCPU to begin with.

Normal SOP for the creation of the new VM is to assign a single vCPU first, adding more only IF it is required as evidenced by poor performance with just one vCPU (over time). I have yet to find any VM (especially when created fresh and correctly) who has been really having more than 2 vCPU assigned to her.

When you assign a vCPU virtual machine, it comes to carrots, no shells.

  • How to simulate as version numbers (version: 3.5.2.11.2)-Jdev 11.1.2

    Hello:

I need to insert and update as version numbers (version: 3.5.2.11.2) and keep them in good condition. If the version is stored as a string, it will not sort correctly. Y at - it something like a data domain version number that sorts correctly and allows to insert by adding a decimal and a number? Or any other way to do this?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

I think that this forum thread might help you to implement the corresponding query on your version number of the component of the company: How to order IP address

Another approach could be a query such as:
    Select version_number from your_table order of regexp_replace (regexp_replace (version_number, "(\d+)", "00\1"), "0 *(\d{3})", "\1");
Being version_number a varchar field where you store the version number in the database.

    It will be useful.

    Thank you

  • This may seem like a silly question, but I need answered please

This may seem like a silly question but I'm pretty new to dreamweaver, but I'm learning. The question I have is this. When your hit a paragraph and press ENTER to make the next line of text that it comes down to 2 spaces. Sometimes I do not want these two spaces. I don't want no space between the two sentences. How can you put one sentence below the other no space? Thanks in advance. I seem to have understood all the other stuff except this one basic thing lol. Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Release version numbers meaning.

    Hi all
I am confused with terminology oracle version uses the brand it lil.
Could U tell me what is the real meaning of each digit in release 10.1.2.0.2 as...

Published by: defeat on June 29, 2009 15:42

Each component will have a similar pentuplet version number defined for it. For example, OID, OCA, BI, SSO, etc.. In short, this means something like this:
(Major edition number). (DB unchanged). (Such AS version number). (Number of the OER component). (Number of the OER platform)

See the description of 10.1.2 version numbers.
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B14099_19/core.1012/b13995/versions.htm#i633623

However, there is often confusion between the numbers for some components. (For example, windows, unix, Solaris, linux all have the same version of a product).
And things get a little complicated when some newer versions are available for some components without peers for others. (for example, seen the release of the 4 components to Id Mgmt or portal, when there is no complete AS Release 4).
