  I have the European version of Windows 8.1 N(without Media Feature Pack)

  1. reinstalled microsoft silverlight.
  2. search for update---> silverlight update available!---> installed!
  3. reset
  4. installed the 'Media Feature Pack for N and KN from Windows 8.1 versions"from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40744
  5. reset
  6. Search again---> new available updates updates---> installed
  7. reset!

  now, camera, autorotation and all the apps work for me. I hope this will help you

  What security software you have on your laptop?  If Stopzilla appears under programs and features, I recommend to uninstall.

  Then, download and install the free version of MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware on the links below.
