Simultaneous network connections twenty Windows 7/8

I find it incredibly difficult to get a simple answer to this question about the limitation of 20 connections of devices on a windows 7/8.

Here's the scenario...

Main computer will run Windows 7 Pro

This computer will be several network printers and Apache Web server actions

Ten other computers in the office, each running Windows 7 Pro

They all will connect to the main computer with the following:

X drive is mapped to a network share on MainComputer

-The drive is mapped to a network share on MainComputer

-My library of Documents will point to \\MainComputer\SharedDocuments

-It will be printed on a printer shared on MainComputer

-They use a web browser pointing to http://maincomputer

NOT this NUMBER as a connection to the MainComputer of each of the ten for a total of ten connections?

Or is it a different number of connections?

Help, please. We do not want to use a platform server unless absolutely necessary.

Thank you

Tim

  • How can I manually remove a network adapter wireless, hidden and corrupt "Network connections" in Windows 7?

I need to locate and remove a network hidden in Windows 7 device manually.  The device is called "Wireless network connection" but does not appear in network connections.  The reason why I know that its there is when I try to rename "Wireless Network Connection 2" to "Wireless network connection" I get an error that the connection already exists, even if the device has been uninstalled and is not listed.  I have to remove this connection because it is completely corrupt and preventing any wireless with a red X in the system tray.  The adapter works fine on another machine.  I tried showing hidden devices in device but Manager that has not worked.

Open a command line window and type the following two lines:

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1
    Start devmgmt.msc

In this special Device Manager window. in the menu, click view and then Show hidden devices

Unwanted devices will appear dimmed. You right-click on them from there and uninstall them.

Then return to your network center and rename your adapters for what you want without the sign #.

We have a problem with Windows VM where they lose network connectivity after being inactive for some time.  After you go in vcenter server and log in to the virtual machines, they begin to respond to pings again.  For any reason but after they are inactive for a period of time, they stop responding to pings, which means that you will have to return in vcenter server and log, and then their network connectivity is restored.  I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem or have any suggestions.

Looks like the virtual Windows machine has an option like

  • I can not get information about the location of the images geotagged - the message is "unable to establish a network connection to Windows Live Local". Previously, I had a lot. Suggestions? Thank you.

After a lot of use of this feature of Pro Photo Tools to secure the location for my images geotagged information, I am not not able to do. The error message indicates, as seen above, I am unable to connect to "Windows Live Local." I have Windows XP Pro with service pack 3. I reinstalled Photo Pro and nothing has changed. My Images are jpeg. But being the difficulty in logging on to Windows Live Local, these things, I think, are not important. Any suggestions? Thank you.

  • Two simultaneous network connections

In my office, I have two connections: a cable and a WiFi.

I would use the first to connect to the server and the internet and the second only to connect to the internet to listen to music.

Is it possible to do with access to television connections? I searched without result.

    Thank you

    Occam

    Hi Occam,

You don't mention what OS you use, so I guess it's Windows.

The problem, do what you want, is that Windows (or any other OS) has got a routing table. So if you go to the prompt of commands and type "route print" you will see to the table routing on a Windows computer. When you try to reach an IP address on the internet, the routing table is used and is more common that the default route will be used in this case because the dest address could be anything (unknown). The default route is the one that says dest network / netmask 0.0.0.0 / 0.0.0.0. You can have multiple default routes which is the case when you are connected wireless with cable, but only one will be used based on the metric. Which should normally be the fastest by default so cable will be preferred wireless (assuming it's 100/1000 Mbit). You can add static routes to route traffic to a specific destination as a single IP address or a subnet and control if you want to use wireless or not, but in this case, you will need to know the destination address and cannot route based on the content of traffic or what kind of service you want to reach.

Should not be able to do what you either requires some sort of software on your computer that can handle in an intelligent way and I've never seen such software. Or you can use a proxy and ensure that traffic to the proxy server is routed interface that you do not prefer with applications using a proxy will follow the default route. Thus, for example, if you have installed a browser to use a proxy that the browser will always use the proxy in a different browser or application will not use the proxy.

If you listen to music from a few sources known on the internet, you could add more static or on roads to ensure that traffic to go on the other interface and any other internet connection. If you go to this address which will follow the same path of course so do not choose the connection based on the service (music or otherwise). All traffic to this destination will follow the road no matter what kind of traffic or app is. In this case, I guess that's easily solved by adding some roads in Windows.

Example: to add a route using Windows

    Pei route add 10.10.10.0 mask 255.255.255.0 x.x.x.x

The '-p' if it doesn't go away when you restart the system. x.x.x.x is the gateway address where you want to route traffic. The rest is the subnet and mask. If you are not familiar with intellectual property, I suppose this might be a bit confusing.

I've seen others ask a similar question as yours, but never seen a good solution.

  • Network connection between Windows 7 Pro and Windows XP Pro wireless

    Nice day.

I am trying to connect to a Windows XP pro to a home wireless network, hosted by a pc Windows 7 Pro. I can see all the other PCs on the XP pc but cannot get them to connect. When I click the icon for the Windows 7 pc and try to log in (open) he asks a user name and password but I don't know what is the user name. I guess the password is generated by the computer windows 7, when I set up the homegroup. Would you please advise me on what to do to make this work. Thank you.

  • Windows 7 has no network connection after merger put level 4.1

My Fusion environment with Windows XP and Windows 7 has known chronic Mac OS X virtual machines balls Beach, especially when two VMS are active.  When Check for Updates showed 4.1 has been improving the performance offered and included, I went ahead with the upgrade.

Fusion 4.1 itself and Windows XP seems to work very well.  Windows 7 looks OK, except there is no network connection.  Windows 7 network troubleshooting (not realizing it runs under merger) reports that the Ethernet cable is not connected.

I tried the simple fixes I know:

    1. Difference Fusion Windows XP and Win7 settings - network adapter network > NAT settings look identical.
    2. Restart Windows 7.
    3. Restart the Fusion 4 and restore Windows 7.

I searched this community and the knowledge base to find clues, but positions see Fusion 3 or take the skills that are beyond me in troubleshooting Windows.

    Hello

Have you tried restarting your Mac, or at least unlog and relog? I had the same problem and do so resolved.

The problem seems to be (on the side mac) that the extension of the kernel named "vmioplug" of the old version of VMWare Fusion could not be unloaded. Thus, a new could not be charged and that avoided networking to work properly...

I got the following error in /var/log/system.log launching VMWare Fusion 4.1:

    19 Nov 23:37:48 Macbookabenua com.apple.kextd [13]: unable to load the Applications/Utilities/VMware Fusion.app/Contents/Library/kexts/vmioplug.kext - a different version is already loaded.

So I tried to unload this old extension manually (via: sudo kextunload ' / Applications/Utilities/VMware Fusion.app/Contents/Library/kexts/vmioplug.kext'), but this did not help. Really, the extension could not be unloaded.

But unlogging apparently unlocked something and allowed me to unload the extension core.

  • "Unknown error" whenever I try to access the properties of the network connection

    Hi all

whenever I try to access the properties of a network connection (e.g. via right click on 'Network'-> properties-> right click on a connection-> properties), type of connection according to what is, I get a message "Unknown error" box and I can't move forward.

As a result, any setting of any network connection is not editable, more. For example, I wanted to force the IP of the local network of "assigned to DHCP" to "static" with an address fixed IP, but I can't.

Another weird thing is that I even can't delete one of the existing network connections, even if there are a couple that are not in use for a long time...

It should be noted that, apart from that, the network of connections work.

What can cause this behavior, and that might be the way to solve the problem?

I want to upgrade the system to SP3 but I am reluctant to take the plunge with such an "alive"... error
As you may have already guessed, the system is running XP SP2.

    Thanks in advance,

    Concerning

Yes, I am facing the same problem too. The error message says "an unexpected error has occurred." This problem started out with me a few weeks back and I was under the assumption that it was due to a virus attack. But even after a thorough cleaning session problem continues to exist.

The problem - as mentioned above by the Bell, we can neither open the properties of a connection (i.e. Dial-up/LAN/WLAN), or remove or add a new connection. If you try to open the connection properties, all you get is the message "an unexpected error has occurred" and if you try to delete or add a connection - the system does not respond!

Surely, this link worked for me. I hope it works for you Bell. Check it out.

  • Wireless connections do not appear in the network connections

Running XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3.  Setup new rounter wireless.  Went to the Panel of control/NetworkConnections.  The LAN network icon is there, but no icon of wireless networks.  Is on a MacBook Pro running XP in Parallels and there is no problem on Mac OS wireless connectivity, then of course, the material is very well and comes with XP.  I ran all the shooters of boredom and configuration wizards, still called dLink support (router manufacturer), and the technology had no idea what to do when the wireless icon is simply not in network connections.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I have consistent problems with access to my Belkin Wireless connector. The PC does not recognize the presence/availability of the Belkin Wireless network connection and connect to it. His daily life to hurt as much as I usually do but I'm not sure how.

In this process the system tells me I should refer to the 871122 on Microsoft error message but I can't find it on their site. She sends me to the web pages of microsoft, but I'm not.  Also when it fails to connect the descriptive text of network connections has "a firewall" next to it.

I played with the firewall is disconnected, but it makes no difference for connecing to the belkin.

I'm not young and, therefore, not computer savvy. Can someone help guide me on how to fix this?

    Hi, Robert Jewell,.

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. What is the full error message that you receive?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Refer to the article below and try the steps mentioned, check if it helps.
