Since El Capitan... no Emoji!

Since the upgrade to El Capitan, I can't not Emoji icons! I pull down the Edit menu for "Emoji and symbols", but nothing happens. Emoji window does not appear again. I made many attempts, all to nothing does not.

Another problem I'm having is that my office items (documents TextEdit) often move to a new location on my desktop after I opened the. It happened also with Yosemite (or a previous Yosemite), but eventually he returned to normal.

I hope that Apple fixes the glitch Emoji. (Or anyone understood how to operate in the meantime?)

Kathy Hi Kat,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I'm sorry to hear that you're having these problems with El Capitan on your Mac. I'm a bit ambiguous about exactly what you see regarding the emojis; you simply see the emoji option in the window of the viewer of characters, or don't see the viewer characters at all? You can check the process described in the following article:

How to type accents and symbols emoji on your Mac - Apple Support

You can also try to activate the viewer of the input menu bar item, such characters described in this article:

OS X El Capitan: use the keyboard Viewer

With respect to orientation, or the Organization of the files on your desktop, you can also find information and the options listed in this article useful:

Wireless is extremely slow since the update to El Capitan 10.11.3.  MacBook Pro mid-2014.  I can plug adapter ethernet thunderbolt and internet speeds are excellent.  Wireless was large with El Capitan 10.11.2, just updated to 10.11.3 this morning and have had trouble with the radio since.  I also had problems wireless with Yosemite.  Mobile phone, computer laptop windows, parallels installs windows 7 & 10 on macbook all the great work on the wifi network.  Anyone have any suggestions to improve the speeds wireless?  It's simply not in safari, all browsers (chrome and firefox), other applications such as spotify and cards as well.  I am very tech savvy and have tried all the bases... to restart the router, remove wifi network/add new, change dns, clear dns servers, files temporary claire safari, etc..

Please start in recovery mode. In the OS X Utilities screen, select get online help. It will launch a clean copy of Safari. Some plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in recovery, you do not have access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so take note of those who before, if they are required for the test.

Create a USB key modifying the Info.plist file does not work? There is a reason that it's missing at first, meaning that your specific model, with an integrated optical drive, needs to use a physical DVD. You can burn a DVD from ISO?

  • Since El CApitan, I have episodes when you sign in that the cursor becomes crazy and enters all kinds of letters.

When connecting have had episodes where the password was caught by the repeated letters entered automatically, requires the computer to be closed and restarted. last night the computer began to make incredible noises as if a radio was playing. What is going on?

There are several possible causes of this behavior. Please take each of the following steps that you have not already tried until it is resolved. Some may not apply in your case.

    1. follow the instructions provided in this support article, so this one, as appropriate. A damaged or defective power adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.

2 simultaneously press the four corners of the trackpad and release. If there is no effect, it is likely to be temporary, and in this case the device must be repaired or replaced.

    3. disconnect or turn off each Bluetooth or USB pointing device, one at a time, testing as you go. You may be able to identify one that is defective. By a pointing device "," I mean a device that moves the cursor, trackpad, mouse, trackball, or tablets. A regular keyboard isn't a pointing device. If you have a desktop without a built-in trackpad design, at least an external pointing device must be active at all times.

    4. If your model has an infrared receiver for use with an Apple Remote, turn off .

    5. start in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party application. If you do not have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you cannot start in safe mode. If there is no difference in safe mode, continue to the next step.

6 reset the system management controller.

    7. If you use a mouse or a trackpad, Bluetooth, investigate potential interference sources, including 3 USB devices.

    8. a swollen in a laptop battery can encroach on the trackpad underneath and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, it is probably the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.

    9. a faulty device or a damaged cable can cause the built-in trackpad to a MacBook to behave erratically. If you use the wired devices, disconnect them one at the time and the test.

    10. There is also a report of movement erratic cursor caused by an external display that was plugged in but not turned on.

    11. If you use transfer, disable it in the general pane of system preferences.

    12. If the mirroring of airtime to a TV is turned on, turn it off.

    13. If none of the above apply, or if you have another reason to believe that your computer is remotely controlled, pull it out of the network by turning off Wi - Fi (or your Wi - Fi access point), disconnect a Bluetooth network connection, then unplug the Ethernet cable or a USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the movement of the cursor stops at the same time, you should suspect an intrusion.

    14. an appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple store to do the machine or the tested external trackpad.

    1. a. reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

    b. Macs with Intel processors: reset of the controller (SMC) system management
