The new default browser is called ask.com and it showed up after I installed a program to download faster. I uninstalled the new program from my computer and add0ons, but it is still throw me back to new default browser even after I installed firefox four times. It's irriating and it just doesn't seem to go away. How can I get rid of him without losing bookmarks and information?
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).
You can do a search on the topic: config a page to ask.com

There is an ornate, colorful background on the header portion of my browser behind my toolbars since I upgraded. It makes it very difficult to read tabs and everything. How can I get rid of him? I certainly didn't he choose or change the appearance. When I go to 'appearance' there is no option to change this. It changes just under the tabs.

Ads popping all over... additional tabs open with "studies". I looked at all the messages of support, and nothing seems to address how to get rid of it. I even trashed Firefox and reloaded. The same problem. This does not happen with Safari. I am ready to trash Firefox constantly and just go back to using Safari. Want to do that, I love Firefox, but this recent problem is really annoying.
If you have installed Firefox from the official website of Mozilla, these pop-ups should not happen. They are normally caused by an extension, or an application external hanging in Firefox.

Can provide you also a link to others who have the same problem?
If you have downloaded Firefox from the official link, have you tried to run Firefox in safe mode to see if these statements still appear?
Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

When I went to click on an icon in my menu bar, they were all gone. I checked my version of firefox, then he said beta. I DIDN'T KNOW THIS. I don't know where it comes from. I want it out. I want my old version back with all my settings. How can I do this?
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop DMG
- Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
- Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
- Install the new version you downloaded

mediaget2 is installed and running on my computer, how can I get rid of him?
Original title: program installation
I learned that a program called mediaget2 is installed and running on my computer. I tried to open the program, but nothing has been posted. When I tried to uninstall, I was told that the program was running. Please help me to get rid as I
cannot open or uninstall.
If you use Windows XP, you should uninstall it by going to control panel, click Add/Remove programs. Scroll down to MediaGet2, and then uninstall it.
If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to control panel, click programs and features. Scroll down to MediaGet2, and then uninstall it.If these methods do not contribute to uninstall MediaGet2, you can download a 3rd party software program and then remove MediaGet2.
I hope this helps.

installed to amd sata, how can I get rid of him?
It has been updated optional nothing but problems since / put it in this morning
Open the "Installed updates" window (bottom left of the main window of updates).
and you can uninstall the update from there.Yes, be careful with the optional updates.
Two other optional to avoid update is (all hardware drivers should really be graphic drivers
downloaded from the website of the relevant mfg - IMO), and if you have some games - Ko 2670838,.
as it may cause problems with launch of games when it is offline.Another option would be a restoration system since before the update.

Check if you have an add-on which has not been deleted when you did the main uninstall.
Orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Add-ons, Extensions category

I disabled it in Firefox, but it is still active and sits on the taskbar and periodically interrupts what I do to open unnecessary websites and other stuff I have no interest in. It does not appear in programs, so I can't uninstall it. I think the only way to get rid of it is to uninstall Firefox?
Follow these steps.
- In the address bar, type Subject: config and press ENTER.
- In the filter at the top, type: keyword. URL
- Double click top and delete everything in it and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q=
- Go to file | Output
- Restart Firefox, go to the site you want to set as your home page.
- Go to Tools | Options | General.
- Make sure that says 'show my homepage' in the menu drop-down superior.
- Click on the button called "use current Pages' to set the home page to the one you have on the screen.
The URL to add in "keyword. URL"becomes a link in this message, right-click and choose"Copy link location"to copy it to the Windows Clipboard. Then press CTRL + V to paste. You have to type all of this saves.
