  • No SBS station since the Windows 7 upgrade

Since the upgrade to Windows 7, the Windows media Center does not tune the Stations of SBS.

I have a HP Pavilion m9090a desktop computer.

I tried to get an update of the pilot, but had no luck.

The card is an asus tv DVB-T/PAL (jayhawk) tuner card
Given that I updated to Windows 7 the WMC can't find the SBS Stations. It worked fine with Vista Ultimate.

    Hello, wkw19521

You are able to manually add the channels that are missing?

In Media Center, go to tasks-> settings-> TV-> Guide-> Add missing channels.

I REALLY can't reformat what I have given crucial for the thesis of the University and I only have the Vista installation disc not repair...
This RAM test shows whenever I start the PC, how can I forget that he spent his RAM test a pc and more? I'm so confused!

Any ideas on how may get a repair disk or fix it otherwise? Thank you very much

Run Memtest86 +: your computer passes this test?

Memtest86 + is running from a floppy or CD and should eliminate or confirm if your one or more of your sticks of memory are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.

Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors at that time then your ram is OK.

  • Inspiron 5000 15 stall since the Windows 10 upgrade series ethernet connection

I have a Dell Inspiron 15, 5000 series that accompanies Windows 8.1 on it. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and the ethernet connection began to stall, giving messages that the cable is not connected when it is. I had installed all the updates driver from the Dell site, including all the firmware and the BIOS updated. According to the Dell website, the laptop has reportedly been tested to work with Windows 10.

I've disabled the card, then raise it, but always without success. I tried to roll back to Windows 8.1 and the ethernet of the functions of connection very well. I tried the upgrade of Windows 10 once again, but the ethernet connection does not work even after reinstalling all the drivers for Dell. Is it possible to know if this model is simply not able to upgrade despite the affirmation of Dell is it?

In fact, I found the answer this morning. I had to downgrade the driver for the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller at 9.1.402.2015. So far, everything looking good. I have access to the internet via the ethernet cable. Go to let it run a bit and make sure that it is stable. I guess it was unhappy with the latest driver.

Update should allow you to enter the serial number of the previous version during the installation

If this does not work, you must communicate directly with Adobe

  • When I click on the Windows 7 Upgrade nothing happens and the program does not start.

This is on a Dell Vostro 1520.

I'm trying to reinstall an os upgrade Windows 7 32 bit.

I am currently using Vista 32 bit. I sell the dell so I formatted and reinstalled 32 bit Vista OS.

The computer was running on an operating system Windows 7 before the reinstall.

Now when I click on the Windows 7 upgrade it does not load.

When I try to open since the reboot it will not open either.

    What now?

    Hey, Slugger,

New installation leaves you a better overall installation,

    Installation custom own steps

You can use a Full Windows 7 or upgrade disk to do a custom clean install. This will remove all of your programs, but you can save your files and settings on an external storage before doing so. You will need to reinstall all your programs after installing Windows 7. Here are the steps:

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if there are known problems that might affect installation and if you can install the 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor

2 back up your files and settings. To avoid losing everything that you will need to save copies of all files, photos and other information that you want to keep an external storage device. Windows Easy Transfer is a free tool allows you to copy your files (but not programs) from your PC and then transfer them back after you have installed Windows 7. If you don't want to use Windows Easy Transfer, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick or CD/DVD.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/Windows-easy-transfer

    3. find the discs original installation and license/product keys associated to programs currently on your computer because you will have to manually reinstall your programs after installing Windows 7. Depending on what you have installed, you may be able to download programs from the Internet.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)." Note: 32 to 64-bit requires restart and boot from the DVD.

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, you can use Windows Easy Transfer (or a different backup method you used) to restore your files & settings and use your installation disks to reinstall all your programs. Then you're done - take advantage of Windows 7.

Steps 2, 3and 4 are recommended for Dell not offering systems not Windows 7 installed at the factory. Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to check that all of your software and computer components are ready for Windows 7. This application will scan your system and make recommendations on what to do before the upgrade to Windows 7.

  • I bought the Windows Anytime Upgrade, but the software will not be installed.

Help... I bought the Windows Anytime Upgrade on Microsoft Office software to my Vista laptop, but the software will not be installed. Operation message is not supported on this platform. How to get around the facility? I have the product key number, but can not get so far to enter.

I think that you bought the right product. Updates at any time are for the upgrade edition of Windows 7 to a more expensive edition. This isn't what you need to upgrade a Vista system to Windows 7. While Vista upgrades are no longer available from the Microsoft Store.

I suggest that you return to the Microsoft Store site and use the contact methods to discuss your problem with an agent.

  • How to upgrade Vista to Win 7, when the upgrade wizard does not load in the Windows Anytime Upgrade window.

How to upgrade Vista to Win 7, when nothing is loading in the Windows Anytime Upgrade window.

After the purchase of a new license to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, after the opening of any time upgrade window, nothing happens. He sends you open app Windows Anytime Upgrade and it suppose to open the wizard to enter the new product key, but Wizard does not open, and there is no option under app anytime upgrade win to open the wizard. There was no link to download the upgrade, follow the instructions to upgrade through win app anytime upgrade.

The Windows Anytime Upgrade was not designed to be upgraded to Windows 7.  It can only upgrade from one edition of Windows Vista to another edition of Windows Vista.  In order to upgrade to Windows 7, you must follow the upgrade procedure described here: upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7

  • Network adapters: Microsoft Windows Mobile remote adapter causes the Windows 7 upgrade to fail.

Network adapters: Microsoft Windows Mobile remote adapter causes the Windows 7 upgrade to fail.

I did everything to prepare for the upgrade. The Upgrade Advisor says it all right. But I get the message that this network adapter is a problem. It does not appear in device menager even under hidden objects, so I can't uninstall or update.

It is obviously a problem for more than two years. Why is there not a difficulty now, or at least a well validated response that meets this situation rather than simply repeat the statement to execute the Advisor (done) or update the driver (which is impossible because the card network can not be found)?

    Hello

    You can try these:

    Step 1:

    a. click the Start button.

    (b) in the search box type devmgmt.msc and then press ENTER.

    c. find under the "Mobile Devices" "Microsoft USB Sync" node. If this is not present, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, right click "Microsoft USB Sync" and choose "Uninstall".

When you connect your USB phone, it should appear in the device under Mobile Device Manager. Education invites you to look out there and if you find Microsoft USB Sync, uninstall it. If she is not there, go to the next step.

    Step 2:

Disconnect, and then reconnect your device. Your device driver will be re - install and launch Windows Mobile Device Center.

  • Reinstall the Windows 7 upgrade

My Gateway PC crashed and I tried to restore with the Windows 7 Upgrade dvd and it did load up and installed and then stop to restart. Once it restarted, the screen works reconfiguration and became black. After trying to restart several times I kept getting a black screen on several occasions, I then did a clean installation of the OEM Windows Vista Home Premium and then tried to load Windows 7 upgrade - same thing with the black screen.  Did an another clean install of Vista and this time I have activated Vista with the slui.exe 4 and activation has been refused. I then took the license key number on the back of the gateway PC and did a change windows license key then slui.exe 4 and it has been properly activated OEM Windows Vista with activation of the phone.
At this point, I'm with an its own Active Window Vista Home Premium and need to know how the used the Windows 7 upgrade disc for windows 7 load on my pc without any problem of black screen. I appreciate any help on this.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

Its possible your installation media can be damaged, try to get a new copy:
