Since the installation of El Capitan...

I noticed an extreme slowdown in the recording of the image files in Photoshop. Which lasted 30 seconds in 10.6.8 now takes 4 minutes or so. I've timed these differences with a stopwatch.

My system is a single-core Mac Pro (early 2009).

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens, and better yet, if there is anything I can do about it? In fact, when it seems that he has finished recording, the old color wheel rises and remains spinning for the next minutes. Otherwise, everything else (all variables) are the same.

Thank you

What 2009 Mac pro has only one heart? The base 2009 had a 4 processor cores. There was an option for two-processor 4 cores.

Just what is the file size of the files you save?

When the open record Activity Monitor and look at the CPU tab make sure that under view all processes is checked. What is using CPU?

Do the same with the memory.

I checked the wifi and changed frequency (new modem, frequency change made no difference). The Board battery seems fine - all updates well. My computer is an iMac (2011), 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, with a new AMD Radeon graphics card. I recently installed a State strong 1 TB SATA drive and fitted with a LaCie Porsche 4 to USB for backup and a 4TB disk storage RAID LaCie drive.

I'm frustrated, having to come in my computer since my living room every 12 minutes to continue to listen to Spotify on my stereo system.

My guess is there a bug in the software of sleep in El Capitan, which disrupts his (I've tried different USB ports connect the Audioengine sender and same thing).

Should I go back to Yosemite?

    Hi denisb,

If you are not able to open the Photos App images directly in Photoshop then, this is the expected behavior as App Photos does not allow for any third-party application interact with it directly.

You must export images from the Photos App and then open in Photoshop.

What I would do is to backup your data on an external drive,

Restart the mac while holding the ⌘R until the apple logo appears and wait until the boot process is completed. It may take more time to start.

Once in recovery mode select your preferred language, click on update or reinstall a copy of OS X., select your drive and wait for the process to do. (Also click on continue and accept all that)

One time did Shutdown and finished reinstall then start in recovery mode again (⌘R) and then click on restore Time Machine backup and then use the backup that you have saved on your external drive. Do you know how to use time machine to back up data in system preferences?

    Best regards

  • HP Officejet 6500: Cannot find HP 6500 since the installation of El Capitan

My printer has stopped working after the installation of El Capitan. Each print job replied that the printer was not available. I have reset the printer system and tried to reinstall. A scan of the network reveals the 6500 fax option, but not the printer. So I installed from the IP address. It worked for exactly a print job. Now he just repeat that the printer is not available.

As I said, I have reset the printer system. I rebooted the computer to a dozen times.

Printer is on and online. Works with portable computer Windows, Android Tablet and iPad. Even the works of this computer (Mac Mini), when I run 10 Windows through Boot Camp, but now when I'm on Mac OS.

I searched for advice, but have not found anyone else with this problem on this printer. I already tried the standard solutions. Someone has a nonstandard solution, can I try? I can't really afford a new printer and moving to a wired connectioin isn't an option anymore.

    Hi @jude525,

I understand that you did a lot of troubleshooting and your Mac can't always see your 6500.

We will try the rattling of the printer and test connection, click on the link below:

    How Ping on Mac OS

Please also try the following and let me know the results of your efforts:

    1. Create a new user account, this will help determine if the problem is limited to your current user's profile.
    2. Printing the printer built-in Web server (EWS), this allows to bypass the cups and check that the problem is indeed related to the computer. If you can print from the Mac via the integrated Web server, the question must be associated OS

I look forward to hearing from you and to work toward a solution. Thank you.

  • Since the installation of El Capitan, I had many weird not always repeating problems. I think it's a problem of memory of Doc.

My computer barely works. Very slow when it does. It will often restarts after the failure of several software. Programs will not start or stop reliably. Several times I have to click on in the finder to start a program that will not start the doc. I did all the updates.

First, you must uninstall MacKeeper Kaspersky and Sophos.

Individually, one of them will cause the problems you describe. I can't imagine even computer functions at all with them all installed.

Once you have removed these things, you can see if the real problems still exist.

For what it's worth, there is nothing, you install on your Mac for any kind of 'maintenance '. These programs will be always just cause more problems, does not solve everything.

If you are in the United States and bought MacKeeper, see here: https://yenchasoftwaresettlement.com/

  • Since the installation of El Capitan, I can't connect to shared on the network computers. I can see them, but when I try to connect it says connection failed. I can connect directly in Parallels using a shortcut.

I can't connect to shared network computers. Not a problem already before the update to OS X El Capitan. The computers appear in the Finder under heading Shared, but when I try to connect it says connection failed. However, under Parallels Windows 7 I can properly connect via the shortcut or mapped drive. Any suggestions?

El Capitan is a bit fussy about safety. Try

Finder > go > connect to server...

and enter the address of the server explicitly in the dialog box that appears.

  • Modem remains on after the installation of El Capitan

    Hi all

Since the installation of El Capitan, my modem seeing 'Link' continues to blink (yellow) after that my mac is asleep or off. It flashes green when my mac is active and has been turned off when it is idle. Is this a new normal and is it bad for the modem?

I don't know what kind of modem you have.

I suggest do you a hard restart of the modem - see if the old behavior back.

  • Computer freezing more since the update to El Capitan

Since the installation of the latest update to El Capitan a few days ago, I noticed that my Mac is the gel more when online, and it takes much more time for my Adobe applications start. What is going on? I thought it was an upgrade. Definitely doesn't feel like him.

When the machine crashes, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.

Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.

Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • MS Exchange account connects is more after the installation of El Capitan

I read all the answers on this topic but none does not work for me just now.  Also the mail app works is not with the exchange server does not seem to be linked to the updates in El Capitan is such that she had been fine for the weeks of work.

When I had problems in the past with my exchange server, I just deleted and added the account, however, this time I can't get past the initial input details.

It is impossible to change the internal and external URLS, because they are greyed out.

    Thoughts?

MacBook Pro, El Capitan 10.11.2, 9.2 Mail app. The NHSmail system uses a customized version of Microsoft Exchange (2007)

I had this problem since the installation of the last update of El Capitan (10.11.2). I also use NHSmail. I installed the update 20 December 2015, then my Microsoft Exchange email that I ran across the apple mail client (also 9.2) has stopped working. A deletion of the account and attempt to set up gives me the same error window that you have lived. NHSmail helpdesk say it's not a problem on their end and have confirmed there are multiple apple mac users complain of the same show. I called the support of apple on the subject, but the operator was not able to offer much help, I asked that it is forwarded to a technical team of things like dealing with. I can't find anything else out there on this. It seems that the patch they come out for all other users who have problems with Outlook led inadvertently to us be trampled! I'm afraid that if we are not a big enough group of users, nothing can be done for a while

  • cannot enlarge the pictures since the installation of Sierra

Since the installation of macOS Sierra yesterday I can't get photos in pictures to enlarge them by double-clicking on them.

Sorry, but we cannot see you if you have details - double click to enlarge photos, unless you have a problem and without any information we have no way to help

What happens? Did you just install OS X Sierra or wipe you your drive and install it or what? What else can you a total unknown who do not see you that could help them to help you?

    Hello naqvi65,

I see that you have several problems with your iPhone after updating to the latest version of iOS. These issues include problems of performance, inability to find contacts at a Spotlight search, problems with enforcement camera freeze after the launch and the battery discharge more quickly than what you are accustomed. I want to help you find a solution for these questions!

Since the update to El Capitan, during the scrolling of the screen guard snapping back to the top of the Web page. How can I stop this?

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.
