Since this morning (5/19) I am unable to open a new tab, even after restarting my laptop. I had firefox 3.6.13. I was counting on the update, but I don't know if that will fix the problem, any suggestions?
Initially, I thought that my laptop has frozen, but it wasn't the case. I don't want to uninstall, I'm at school and I have a lot of bookmarks that are essential to my learning to lose those who would be detrimental to my education. Can someone help with this problem?
Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.
There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:
- Check the control panel Windows for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
- Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

Firefox3.6.18, running on Windows XP (all patches from Microsoft), opens with a single tab. By clicking on the tab add '+' or by pressing CTRL T does not open a new tab, even if I open a new window. In addition, when you exit Firefox, my location of the tab is not saved.

I am running Firefox 7.0.1 on Windows 7.
A blank page is the default value for a new tab. You can middle - click the Home button to open a new tab to your home page, or you can install this extension and set it for your homepage.

Usually in the past when I got docs who won't open, a menu will appear asking what program I want to use to open it. This does not happen in this case. My daughter uses a new laptop that obviously has a lot more progs installed up-to-date. I can't even use a solution that arose when I was wxploring ways to solve the problem, because I don't seem to have the same menu that they refer.
Have to save the files in the old format of Microsoft Office 97/2000 before they are sent to you.

The small "+" for a new tab is missing on an installation of Firefox tabs bar. Do not know how to install/find it. Have uninstalled Firefox 4.0 and reinstalled without success. Same thing when I upgraded to 5.0, including resettlement "own."
The '+' can be moved to another toolbar or palette button in the Customize dialog box. It looks quite different in these places, as shown in the picture as an attachment.
If it just does not turn upward anywhere, you can reset your toolbars by using the 'Restore Default Set' button at the bottom of the Customize dialog box.

Ask your computer manufacturer to get the EXACT instructions:
How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

I have not yet left firefox, according to the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1028115. An update took place this evening, but I don't know if that caused my problem. It seems as if all the sessionstore.js files are old, so they are probably not helping. There is a upgrade.js file that has the correct time and date to be useful, but I don't know how to implement to restore my tabs. You can then apply a sessionstore-backups (for example upgrade.js) If you copy in the main profile folder and rename sessionstore.js replacing the file with the same name that's already there while firefox is closed. Then, restart the browser...

How to prevent a specific page to view the suggested sites and top when you open a new tab?
I like the feature of FF that displays top and suggested sites when opening a new tab. I use my laptop for work, for recreation. But as I share the office with co-workers, I don't want to have all the sites that I visit that are listed. No matter how many times I remove a specific site from the results, it keeps popping up.
I'm sure that the addition of an option to prevent some sites never show it, would benefit a lot of users of FF, who share the same problem. I don't know that I'm one of many with the same problem.
You can change the order of the boxes on the subject: newtab page and drag an item on a tile that is different to pin in this position or you can remove a Web site by clicking on the close X to block this URL.
You can drag a bookmark item or the history of the sidebar and drop it into a tile on the subject: newtab page pin this point and have your own favorite sites.Changes manually on the subject: newtab page are stored in the preferences you can find on the about: config page.

Using FF 3.6 with Win XP. All of a sudden I can't manually open a new tab even if the drop down menu appears. When I click on the new tab nothing happens. Result even when you use the box of files or T. My wife has also an account on this computer and its FF 3.6 works normally and we can create new ad infinatum tabs. We are not ready to upgrade to the new version of FF.

Since this morning updated (01/11), my policy is so tiny that I can't read anything. This, even after the DOUBLING of the size of my font in tools. Unless this is addressed, I can't use Firefox more, because I don't SEE anything.

There are several places an identifier Apple is used on an iPhone.
- If it's the Apple of a former owner of the phone ID, and it is in settings/iCloud grace to find my iPhone activated, ONLY the person who set up the Apple ID can remove (see: find my iPhone Activation Lock: a mechanism of extraction of the previous owner)
- If it's the Apple ID in Settings/iTunes & App Store just log out, then log back with the correct ID of Apple.
