  You can't the PDF files to be changed with Acrobat Reader DC.

  You must have the Acrobat application to edit PDF files using Acrobat. Edit PDF files.

  The current version supports the white-space for a text box property and it is possible that the Web site uses spaces: pre instead of spaces: pre wrap.
  The former will prevent Firefox of text wrapping.

  Disconnect all your external drives, then check if blocking is occurring always. El capitan has made some changes that actually a bit lazy with reassembly of external hard drives after reactivation, and it's a good idea to check if the cause of your problem is the external drives.
