  Hi all

  I tried a variety of combinations to turn siri, reboot the phone, the deactivation of siri, turn off phone, then activation siri, allowing siri on screen lock etc etc etc with all the success...

  Finally, I then tried a hard reset of the phone (hold down the power button and the home button until it restarts).

  After the phone rebooted, the question has been briefly resolved but returned shortly after.

  I waited about 1/2 hour (not sure if that makes a difference) to see if it resolves on its own, but it didn't.

  I then did a hard reset (so far!) and second, the problem seems to be resolved... Siri is able to open my apps and normally responds to commands such as what is in my calendar, a message from my wife, etc... Hope that I jinx myself not.

  Siri does not check by other applications installed on the App Store, when I asked him to do a search.  This happens frequently with Netflix and Acorn TV.  The search results were only for Apple iTunes store movies.  At least the first 5 when I took the trouble to check.  Without this search feature Siri loses plenty of use and becomes a general remote control to adjust sound and pause, stuff like that.

But that's another story... My problem is with this new phone that works very well outside Siri not currently able to set timers or set alarms or applications launch or God knows what else... Anyone got any quick suggestions or advice? Help, please!

  Soft reset on my phone (which is held the "home" button and the button sleep/wake until it stops and the apple logo appears) and now it works again. I hope this helps someone else who is having this very annoying problem! Before, I had tried "reset network settings" but which did not help at all. The soft reset hope it lasts...

  Now, I can not open JPEG in PhotoShop Elements 8.0 and here I get the error message:

  C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\My Pictures\img005.jpg is not a valid Win32 application

  It seems to have something to do with the hack with the folder options after that I spilled the Arcsoft as any kind of primary program.

  If you open a directory of photos and go to the thumbnail view in Explorer, they display the thumbnails correctly?
   
  I think that you need to reset the file association for programs that open the image files.  Try a right-click on a jpeg file and go to properties and click on the button to edit, and then designate PS elements 8 as the top program open with, and then see if it works very well.
   
  You can also check the settings in the registry for the types of image files.  Seewww.oehelp.com/noimg.aspx , which deals with a related issue.

  I think you are talking after upgrade to CC 2015 you're not able to launch I. Also, I believe you speak for read only matter of preference.

  After following the instructions please do not launch Illustrator and check your file preference if the permissions have been set correctly. A good way would be to get inside the preferences folder and then try to create a file manually. If it succeeds, please write to [email protected]
