Skillfully manage large number of controls

My user needs dictates I have controls 14 to 28 on a total of 7 tabs (2 to 4 controls by tab). Half are simple doubles, the other half are Boolean values. I'm trying to think of a more elegant way to manage changes in value for these controls to have separate user from 14 to 28 events. I thought of the event handling on each tab grouping, for example, 'Double1, value or 2 change' and then using the reference property and the label of the control to determine who's been changed, but it seems clutzy. I was wondering if someone had a better idea or is the best way to go despite having 28 of them separate user events.

I build an array of references to the command and then use the dynamic event of the structure of the event. See attached example.

  • best way to control a large number of controls and indicators

IM building a façade with 46 orders and lights, all of type boolean.

the logic is control > send order series > receive > indicator set. I consider part of my façade (with 2 sets of control and indicator) and my block diagram.

I have to be able to control programmatically and through the front panel individually the status and indicators, or all at once (for example to reset the both). This should be done from the tab they are and another.

thought property nodes but still I would have 46 + 46 of them. same for local variables.

y at - there I way to refer to a control/indicator by its label (string) and change its value?

wouldn't be easier just to create two Boolean tables which maintain their Boolean value?

Please advise me on what options I have. I'm new to labview.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Manage a large number of SPAx102s

That service providers use to manage a large number of 2102 s or 3102 s?  How the firmware versions are controlled and held?  What configuration management & password?

    Thank you!

    Hello

as called "configuration" is used for this. SPA-xxxx devices has ability to remote download (http and tftp) settings on regular basis, looking for changes, deploy the settings file and restart. The file is loaded based on the MAC address of the device, so all devices really does it's own file.

Provisioning can set the adapter password and can also rule of the wire for the FW update when needed, and SP-xxxx adapter will check the header of the FW file and so more recent (or better different) that running into the adapter, it will download the FW, flasher the FW on the idle time and restart.

  • How to add the large number of RoboHelp docs to SharePoint version control

I'm on RH11 and some versions of SharePoint, which I'm not sure. I am able to add a document to both HR SharePoint Versioning (file > Version control), but I must have about 49 000 with version control in RoboHelp.  I was able to get the files in SharePoint, but now I have to get RoboHelp to be managing the large number of files.

How can I get RoboHelp to give version control a large number of documents at a time?

Are - you're talking about individual files or projects? I guess that the individual, since 49 000 project files can be a bit heavy.

If you add a project to version control, RoboHelp will add all the files in SharePoint. This will take a little time (set HR to add it before you go out for lunch or before going home). At the end of the day, you can check in the entire project in a single click. Or you see something else?

You can still manipulate the files .apj of HR to very quickly add loads of files to a project. If you have files in SharePoint, you can update the FPJ files (use the following script: missing subject Fixer). Then remove the CPD and start the project.

  • Manage the large number of users

    Dear all:

We get a pre Prod database which we may have to create around 1200 users who have account within the database. Here are my concerns:

    1. What is the best way for users to connect to the database? We used traditionally file Tnsnames.ora but it would be tedious to go with that with so many users. We have heard of Active Directory that could help users to connect to the database. Is a proven way to go and how to implement it?

    2. What are the parameters we need to change/change in our spfile/init to welcome a large number of users? We are and we will use dedicated connections. It seems to me that we have to change the setting to a number greater than > 1200 at #process. Memory management we define automatic as SGA and PGA managed by Oracle. We have already appointed a large part of memory(8GB) to Oracle to make the management of SGA/PGA both for us.

    3. what other issues we must fear for the database when so many users log in the database? Most of these users won't use any storage to create objects.

Any help, advice, suggestion will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    1. in fact, it is quite easy to write Windows scripts to distribute files tnsnames.ora, and it will be cheaper and easier to manage than the OID (Oracle Internet Directory), which is the LDAP solution to replace tnsnames.ora for searches.

    2. in the function if you use the shared server or dedicated connections. If you are using dedicated connections, then the process is the main. Allow any dead or inactive sessions, process etc., so less substantive 1500.

    3. This isn't a lot of users. Some databases out there takes care of hundreds of thousands of users. You must work on how many of these users will be active at the same time, and what will be the volume of transactions. For example a large report can use more resources than 1000 users, data entry.

  • Possible to set up buffer - delay in the implementation of large number of buffers - IMAQ trigger problem

    Hi all

I thought that I could transfer it here because it might be a more appropriate forum. I have a bit of time pressure, so I hope someone can help me. I'm having a problem with a program that I wrote to acquire and store images from a camera to linear scan.

My camera (SUI Goodrich, 1024 pixels) is connected to a card framegrabber (PCIe-1427), which is connected via a RTSI cable to a PCI-6731 card attached to a SCC-68 (series) connector M.  My goal is to drive a mirror galvanometer scanning and acquire images from the camera continuously on each scan. As the galvo scan will be the frame of an image (1024 pixels x 1024 lines).

I managed to do it (I think), as my direct purchase program works exactly as I expected. However, when I try to save the images, I noticed that for a larger number of images, the starting point of the image is shifted the same amount for each image. I'm not really sure what's going on, it seems to me that there is a delay in the use of the VI "IMAQ set up buffer" when a larger number of buffers is used, (or even 100). Is it possible that my hardware trigger does not wait for all buffers to be configured before you start to run?

I would really appreciate any idea or ideas that anyone could have on this issue.

    Sincere greetings,

    Gill

I fixed the problem by doing that I don't use actually 1000 stamps to save 1000 frames. Program works if the number of buffers is lowered.

  • Connect the large number of parameters and variables between Verstand and model of Labview

We have an installer of dyno with a chassis PXI-E running Veristand 2014 and 2014, inertia. In order to strengthen the capabilities and timing of the Veristand, I would use models of Labview to perform tasks is not possible by Veristand and inertia. An example of this is to determine the maximum amount of a large number of thermocouples. VeriStand has a comparison function, but it compares two values at once. This makes long and rigid emissions. LabVIEW, on the other hand, has a function which words one to get the maximum items in a table in one step. I need to use Labview to 'send' the thermocouples of 50 or more to the Labview model. In addition to the variables that must be communicated between Veristand and Labview, I also need to present Labview with the threshold and setting parameters. Forums and user manuaIs understand that you must use the connector pane in Labview Veristand System Explorer mapping to expose the inports and isolated villages. The problem is that the part of Labview connector is limited to 27 I/O. How to overcome this limitation?

BTW. I'm relatively new to Labview and Versitand.

    Thank you.

    Richard

You can work around this limitation by putting your orders and clusters indicators. Then set the cluster to be required or recommended to indicate whether contained controls are entered or parameters, just normal.

  • Best practices for the handling of data for a large number of indicators

I'm looking for suggestions or recommendations for how to better manage a user interface with a 'large' number of indicators. By big I mean enough to make schema-block big enough and ugly after that the processing of data for each indicator is added. Data must be 'unpacked' and then decoded, for example, Boolean, binary bit shifting fields, etc. The indicators are updated once / sec. I'm leanding towards a method that worked well for me before, that is, binding network shared variable for each indicator, then using several sub-vis to treat the particular piece of data, and write in the appropriate variables.

I was curious what others have done in similar circumstances.

    Bill

I highly recommend that you avoid references.  They are useful if you need to update the properties of an indicator (color, police visibility, etc.) or when you need to decide which indicator update when running, but are not a good general solution to write values of indicators.  Do the processing in a Subvi, but aggregate data in an output of cluster and then ungroup for display.  It is more efficient (writing references is slow) - and while that won't matter for a 1 Hz refresh rate, it is not always a good practice.  It takes about the same amount of space of block diagram to build an array of references as it does to ungroup data, so you're not saving space.  I know that I have the very categorical air about it; earlier in my career, I took over the maintenance of an application that makes excessive use of references, and it makes it very difficult to follow came data and how it got there.  (By the way, this application also maintained both a pile of references and a cluster of data, the idea being that you would update the front panel indicator through reference any time you changed the associated value in the data set, unfortunately often someone complete either one or another, leading to unexpected behavior.)

  • How do you initialize a large number of variables properly

I have a large number of variables (say 20 or 30) I want to initialize, cluster and then move to my various Affairs of State.  Is there a way to set variables in something like the type definition that you guys taught me how do for enums that would make for easy maintenance?  Would you just create a type definition with variables like controls with their default values defined in the definition of type... but then how would cluster them so they would become a variable (all Variables of type def) when you brought in the scheme of main program?

    Try to be more careful.

    Thank you

  • How to create an application for a large number of version Blackberry?

I am doing a project for a large number of Blackberry version (9100, 9330, 9650, 9800, 9810, 9850). And it is difficult to define the position of button, label... for the other version. Can someone give me some tips to create quickly and easily.

    Thank you very much.

    --------------

I don't think that there is a quick answer to this question.

An option to help you is to determine the actual size of the font that you use and do you manage screen objects on this basis.

In addition, you can use relative positions for page layout.  And you must factor into the question about whether you're on a touchscreen device (and thus make easier to hit fields).

But really if you do not want to create a specific format for each form factor, you must compromise and try to design a screen that works well on all devices.  This will depend on the screen, so there is not one right answer.

    I'm sorry.

  • CC of Dreamweaver on iMac very slow to open sites with a large number of files

In recent weeks, a site I've worked regularly for several years began to take 10-15 minutes to open. A pop up says it checks the files, but the button that should allow you to escape this process does not work. The site has about 120 000 files located in different folders, and this was never a problem in the past. To access the site, the only way is to wait until the course ends and the spinning ball to go. I read the thread on the port of Skype settings, but I think that this may be a different problem because even though I have installed Skype I rarely running and only one of my sites is affected.

    Any ideas?

With a large number of files, it would be a good idea to disable the cache of Dreamweaver for this site.

    1. Site > Manage Sites.
    2. Select the site, then click on the pencil icon to change site settings.
    3. Select Advanced settings > local news in the list on the left of the Site Setup dialog box.
    4. Uncheck the Enable Cache.
    5. Save > fact.

Another possibility is that your Dreamweaver cache is corrupted (probably with as many files). See remove a corrupt cache file.
