  • Skype crashing after connecting a call.

Hi, I called my friend one day and it went off normally but after a few seconds, my Skype comes from crushed, which I suppose was trying to pick up. I tried several times over again, and even with the test call but it sounds and when it should be linked every time, it crashed. I tried to reinstall and clear appdata and all that, but it still does not work. Here's what I got after I ran the event viewer.

I don't know if this has been reported already before, but I cannot find a post that has been recently so I decided to just after mine. I've also attached a record of a directX diagnostic I ran as well.

There is a similar case reported here:

The version of the file d3d9.dll must have been installed by an application of part 3 (Skype recorder) and certainly, this dll file must not be present in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Skype\Phone\ folder. Delete the d3d9.dll file in this folder.

    Hello

While the title says: whenever I try to accept/make a call, my Skype crashes.

I have attached the dxdiag because I saw, that it might be useful.

Skype crashes because you have Hauppauge and ASUS virtual video capture devices installed.

    Video Capture sources:

    Capture video Hauppauge Siena 0 x 00200000, 2, 1, ksproxy.ax, 10.00.10240.16384

    ASUS GSB 0 x 0, 1, and 00200000 ksproxy.ax, 10.00.10240.16384

Thus, the title explains quite well. I use Skype 7.10.0.101 on Windows 64-bit 10.

First try to update your Skype to the currently lates 7.11.0.102 version:

  • Skype does not in closing the program. (Skype 7.17 - Windows 10)

I used to have the problem where Skype will stop at random to answer when I tried to start, which would force me to close it with the Task Manager, then try again.
After a lot of fiddling around, update drivers, update of Internet Explorer (please kill me why is this one thing) and so on... I finally managed to get this problem to the most out of my life.
Now, still only a problem When I try to close the program (by right-clicking on the icon and "quit") it just does not... at all... Strangely it does not change the "not responding" mode, it's just... died. Even in taskmanager it does not show as a "no answer", but he acts as if nothing is wrong.

Here's what "solutions do not work:
    -Remove temporary files
    -deleting files appdata
    -do a clean reinstall
-addition of "'https://apps.skype.com ' on sites in IE 'internet options'"
-Remove "'https://apps.skype.com ' on sites in IE 'internet options'"
-closing all individually the program other than Skype and try again
-Deletes the registry values for Skype (it was my last resort)

NOTE: While looking through possible questions, I noticed that my Skype in the program compatibility mode is locked 'Windows Vista'... it is grayed out and cannot be changed, no matter what I try. Haven't found a solution for this yet (not even in safe mode).

The first thing to do is to identify the compatibility set to Skype options.

Right click on the shortcut on the desktop, select Properties, then the Compatibility tab.

Press the button "Change settings for all users" and disable the compatibility options in this tab

  • Skype crashes after update, windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

How to fix something that's not broken. New Skype crashes whenever I am trying to make a call. It is so bad that it freezes on the entire system. I can't 'kill' the application by ctrl + alt + del, only solution to restart the system. I Googled, tried a few solutions, as little different installation versions and turned off auto-updates to date, but nothing helped.

I'm really mad, a lot of work important contacts are there, and I'm forced to use it on a small screen of my iPhone.

    I have

Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, as two or three months

    Avast antivirus 2015

Enough * beep * fast machine with God knows how many processors, 16 GB ram, great drive hard quick flash

Please, I need a working Skype, this update is a stupid idea.

OK, so, here is what I did (spoiler, video calls work once again):

-Updated drivers Nvidia (really doubt it hit anything, Skype broke again)

-Is back to the old version of Skype (does not work)

-Removed stuff from a list of the programms, loading at startup (Avast could not be removed so...)

    -Uninstalled Avast.

    It worked.

So I guess it could be reduced to Avast free Antivirus. And by the way, Skype has become a piece of shit really software that requires a magic set of conditions to work properly. I will be looking forward to an alternative to Skype. Thanks for all the Seraph, I mark a last as an accepted solution. Although an accepted solution would make decent software, as it used to be a few versions ago.

You probably Evaer Skype recorder installed. This application puts a bad version of the module d3d9.dll in the Skype application folder.

Uninstall Evaer. If it still won't solve the problem, remove the defective d3d9.dll file in this folder:
