  I just upgraded to the latest version of Firefox and noticed that there doesn't seem to be a way to stop loading completely while he is in the process of loading a page.   Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  When the iPhone is connected and Photos opens, select iPhone in sideba of the windowr of Photos. Then, uncheck the option 'Open for this iPhone Photos' below the toolbar.  Do this for all your iPhones. The hook should be unmarked for each device individually.

  You are able to boot mode safe mode with networking?  Download the following tool and run a full scan to make sure that the malware has not infected the system.  You can disable restoring the system incase malware hides in the restoration (see the second link on how to disable the system restore)
