  First of all, try to update the drivers of webcam and check if it helps.

  1. click on Start

  2 type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press on enter.

  3. right click the driver and choose the option to update.

  4. check if the problem persists.

  Then look for the details of the event log in the observer of events and after return.

  1. open event Viewer by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, clicking Administrative Tools, then double-click event Viewer . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

• Skype video not working not

  My camera guard deactivation in Skype. I join a call and all is well. I can see my videos of friends and everything, but when I enable my camera it seems to start loading, but after 5 secconds it disappears and the button greys out video. I have to restart the call to make it reappear. If you look at the screenshot I downloaded the camera seems to work fine in the menu options and when I saw it in chrome or on the camera in windows, it works too.

• Skype does not in closing the program. (Skype 7.17 - Windows 10)

  I used to have the problem where Skype will stop at random to answer when I tried to start, which would force me to close it with the Task Manager, then try again.
  After a lot of fiddling around, update drivers, update of Internet Explorer (please kill me why is this one thing) and so on... I finally managed to get this problem to the most out of my life.
  Now, still only a problem When I try to close the program (by right-clicking on the icon and "quit") it just does not... at all... Strangely it does not change the "not responding" mode, it's just... died. Even in taskmanager it does not show as a "no answer", but he acts as if nothing is wrong.

  I had the same problem and I think that I have stopped running on the hp mediasmart webcam program every time Skype I videocall. In Skype (v4), I went to tools > options > video settings and there is a webcam selection menu. In this menu, I deselected HP MediaSmart Webcam who appeared there and chose HP Webcam. This seems to have done the trick.
