Sleep m9150f PAV problem

I put the computer to sleep with the sleep on the keyboard button - no problem.  He won't sleep after the time-out value set in the power settings.  I spent a lot of time with the cat of HP and they had no resolution.  I disabled everything that would be supposed to wake up - network, keyboard, mouse, etc.  It works fine manually, but not automatically.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

After 6 months of work on this problem, I found the answer on the Forum from Microsoft.  "Sleep my mode" works as expected with the following change: go to advanced energy parameters; Click media sharing; Together to ALLOW the COMPUTER to SLEEP.  I checked each device in the Device Manager to allow the computer to go to sleep, but nobody thought of sharing media in advanced settings.

  • sleep and extended problem solved!

    Hi all.
Finally I solved my problem (see "sleep and extended in windows XP" for more details).
I uninstalled everything on HP printer because Windows XP plug-and-play service does not load the Power Manager settings if it is not the printer.

Now I understand why the HP software does not work properly, you know?

    See you soon.

    Gianluca

It seems that the HP software has adopted some features of the operating system. Normally, it is very good for the manufacturer to give the features more functions.

But if there is a third software such as Power Saver from Toshiba could occure problems because the energy saver adopts XP power settings and it administer very dominate. If the HP printing software was not able to adopt the settings of MS!

  • HPE140F pc - game crash/screen black screen mode 'sleep' and more problems

I recently bought an HP computer refurbished not even 2 weeks ago: HPE140F

While playing world of Warcraft, the screen goes black and the screen goes into sleep mode.  There is also a strong buzz.

In addition, the CPU fan makes a lot of noise.

I contacted HP customer service and they couldn't help me.  They said to talk to a technician level 2, I would have to PAY for the service.

This is completely ridiculous.  I want a solution or this pos is going back to the store.

I am a customer very very unhappy.  Poor service, defective PC, nothing but problems.

You can mark this resolved.  I was ready to pack the PC up, when I remembered I had bought a video card Geforce 9 Series several months ago and never installed in my old computer.  I took a chance and installed in the HP.  Voila!  The machine now runs like a dream.  No noise noisy fan and he's playing my favorite games in 3D spectacular I contacted HP support and they conceed that it was probably a defective video card (I checked on the WOW forums, several people have played the game fine with the GeForce GT 230 and had no problems).  I'll send it in an Exchange and will try on my old pc I always around.

I will be in part with positive feedback, update of the card in the HP was extremely easy, indeed with the opening of the case the entire seemed well organized and easily extensible.  I plan to get a power of 500W Rocketfish and Im happy that it will be an easy installation.

    Thank you all!

    Keep in-game!

  • Sleep on computer problem; Generic USB hub

My computer has had trouble sleeping, and this time I was able to find something in the event viewer, directly related to it. Sometimes the computer goes to sleep, sometimes it will not, often times possible to sleep for a few seconds then wake up to the top.

Event Viewer, said ' Wake Source device: Generic USB hub»

Note, that there is no hub USB connected to my computer. There are hanging things that are USB, certainly including my printer, external hard drive, which are both off the coast. There's also the keyboard, optical mouse and speakers, this is it.

Any thoughts? Perhaps one of the USB ports is the cause.

2 other computer tech says sleep disorders are usually caused by the RAM or RAM from port problems.

Well, please follow the link I provided and read the articles for this search. You must go through all the devices in the Device Manager and check the relevant settings. It is clearly your USB Hub (integrated is a hub, too) that it prevents to go to sleep.

  • Sleep W510 blutooth problems

Hi, for the last two days, I have a problem with my tablet when I use bluetooth. I have the Microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse and the fine detected Tablet mouse and works very well with him. Now, when my computer goes to sleep and I wake up this back, the mouse does not work. As if it was not connected. To have detected it again, I go into the wireless and bluetooth turned off-lit switch control panel.

I reapplied the Jan 8 driver pack, but that does not solve the problem. I applied the update to the bios 1.51 two weeks ago and everything was ok or better with this update. I also tried to uncheck "allow computer to turn off this device...". "for Bluetooth radio in the Device Manager, but have no effect.

Is there something I can do to fix this? I would like to have bluetooth works in utself when my computer from standby.

    Thank you

    Ccote

I think I've finally found. I wa not a windows update, but the fact that I uninstalled clear-fi apps. I solved my problem by installing Windows 8 DOWNLOAD Microsoft MSDN since I was a ultimate MSDN subscription. Since then, no problem with the bluetooth at all.

    Thank you

  • Stop while he was sleeping and other problems on Windows 8.1, Vaio Flip 13

Whenever I close the lid to put my laptop to sleep for a while, after a few hours, it will stop. So instead of waking up, she must start up of. Yes, I upgraded to 8.1 correctly. All my drivers are the latest versions. There is nothing to install in Vaio update * (see next post) or Windows Update.

    Any ideas?

Then, how can I remove an update from Vaio update? I tried to install the "update Intel Dual Band Wireless 16.6.0.8" and it would still fail. I then installed new updates through Sony/Intel directly. Now, I'm on a newer version than the update, but it will still fail and I can't get rid of it.

Finally, every time I start, or restart, Chrome, will start a new empty window. I have chrome to begin where I left, so that it opens all the tabs that were open when I closed chrome. So whenever I open it, a window with these tabs will open, and a new empty window with a tab will open on top. I checked and its nothing to do with the Chrome settings

Remember something else, that I thought had been fixed with and update but happened again today:

Sometimes, when I wake my Flip from his sleep, he will not be able to find an internet connection. My phone can find the WiFi for my home, or homes or same chromecast neighbours, but my laptop can not find anything. The only way I can remedy this, is by restarting the laptop

  • Divide the 13 x 2 PC: mode 'SLEEP'

    Hello

I am owner of a Split 13 x 2 PC and I facing the following problem.

When I close the lid of the portable computer will not sleep and the fan still works. I tried a different function for the lid and instead of mode 'sleep', I chose the closure of fashion. The same result. The laptop stops and the fan still works. I have to choose the windows close command and then press the power button firmly in order to stop the laptop. It is very annoying.

    Any ideas what's happening?

    Thank you

    Constantinos

    Hi @ConstantinosG,

    Thank you for your query.

What is your exact model of Split HP x 2?

How can I find my model number or product number?

What operating system is your race?

I understand that when you have the possibility to the mode value 'sleep', and you close the lid, it is not in the mode 'sleep'.  If you change the setting to stop closing the lid there is no change. You must choose the closing down in the menus or use the power button.

Is this a recent change or did you always have this problem?

Here is a link to HP PC - sleep and hibernation problems (Windows, 10, 8) which can also help.

If the problem persists, try this step to return to the setting of the power to the default values.

    • Go to the command prompt and run as administrator
    • Type powercfg - restoredefaultschemes and press ENTER.

Please let me know the results.

  • The HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC: Output mode no 'sleep'

So, I'm having a problem that seems to have just started today, out of nowhere, where my laptop seems to not want to exit the mode 'sleep'.

So here's how the question is: If the laptop is forgotten, you know, idle for a while, the screen goes black. I'm used, that's just what I think, is sleep mode, never really learned the term appropriate for that, I just call it sleep. Can be standby. But anyway, it's the normal thing when the screen goes black after a short period of inactivity. Normally simply move the mouse or something will do the screen to come back and it's good.

But, just today, I'm having a problem where the screen is not. There's just black, and I've had it happen twice up to now (back to back); Once when I closed the laptop and once where I was left alone for a while. In both cases, when I got home to try and 'wake up', the power button light on it stops flashing and becomes solid (normal that when you wake up the computer), but the screen remains black.

Now both times I was able to get the display normal return but a hard, just reboot by pressing the power button. But of course, as it happened a second time, who offered no permanent change. And I checked "hybrid sleep" or something else, and it is turned off. So I don't know what's going on, or why he began so suddenly.

For starters, can you provide me with the product number of the laptop?  Here is a link that you can use that will help you find your model and product number:

It is possible that an update of the driver may have caused the problem.  You remember recently updated?  Have you tried to perform a System Restore, to define the notebook to its previous working state?  If you're still having problems, try to review the following document and let me know how it goes: computers HP - sleep and hibernation problems (Windows, 10, 8)

  • HP laptop - 15-f162dx (ENERG: Sleep mode/freezing issues)

I seem to have the same problem as a lot of other HP users. If I leave my laptop unattended for a period of time that the laptop goes into mode 'sleep', however, the lights are white to orange, then the computer will be just stuck there. After that the computer wake up and I have to force shut off and restart the computer. A student and having to do that 10 or daily many times are really making me regret buying this computer. I tried the solutions of graphics card, tried to update the drivers, tried troubleshooting and nothing has solved this problem. IF someone could help me please, I'd be so aprreciative. I'm willing to try anything. I also tried the scans of windows for malware defender and my computer is fine. ONCE MORE, SOMETHING WILL HELP!
