It is that my PC won't sleep.

When I disconnect the connection Wi - Fi laptop to my wife the sleep problem no is going.  When I connect the problem starts again immediately.

I have clean starting twice on the laptop of woman to no effect (the problem).  Clean boot on my PC also had no effect.

In the laptop my wife under Event Viewer/applications and Services Logs/Microsoft/Windows/NetworkProfile I see many event 4000, 4001, 10000, 10001.  These event IDS are associated with wait for Identification.

Don't you think that these are the "...". recently sent queries...? »

With Wireshark, I tried to find the "demand" for woman's cell phone to my PC.  I've done a few "capture" but I do not understand the info.  I don't know what I'm doing with Wireshark.

I'd appreciate help without the sleep problem on my PC.

    Thank you

    Terry

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried the suggestions in this article in the Knowledge Base, about a week ago.  No solution.

However, it seems I have finally fixed.  I left my homegroup (my PC, no wife), restarted the PC, then restored and joined the homegroup.  The message "client remote active" stopped appearing and my PC now sleeps normally.

I guess that there is a fault with the homegroup on my PC that caused the non-stop message 'customer remote active'.  Previously I ran MS Network convenience stores and home group - several times - but without success.

I think that the problem is resolved.

  • MacBook Air 11 '' Early 2015: normal sleep/standby consumption?

    Hello

I can't help thinking that the power consumption of my MacBook Air 11 '' (early 2015) while "asleep" has increased lately - battery loses about 20% in 24 hours of sleep. "

So, here's my question: is a loss of battery charge about 1% by standard time?

I should add that I can see log files that the appliance has been in "Deep sleep" during sleep, as you can see here:

05.01.16 21:15:34, 000 kernel [0]: ARPT: 7953.437734: IOPMPowerSource information: onWake, SleepType: deep Idle, "ExternalConnected": No, "TimeRemaining": 4370.

I've already changed parameter of power management that the device should enter mode standby after 4 minutes of sleep (see below), which he seems not to do (always).

In the terminal, the command of g - pmset we get the following results:

    Active profile:

    Battery - 1 power *.

    Power supply - 1

    In use:

    standbydelay 240

    Watch 1

    halfdim 1

    hibernatefile/var/vm/drag

    PowerNap 0

    gpuswitch 2

    disksleep 10

sleep 2 (sleep prevented by AddressBookSourceSync)

    autopoweroffdelay 14400

    hibernatemode 3

    autopoweroff 1

    ttyskeepawake 1

    displaysleep 2

    acwake 0

    lidwake 1

BTW: I do not think that the entry "prevented... sleep." "really means the unit can not sleep - he lay in mode 'deep sleep '.

    Thanks for the ideas.

Thank you all for the many responses (SCNR)

Just to give me a follow-up (perhaps this helps someone in the future):

After a thorough analysis of the pmset g rawlog and console output that I discovered that my MacBook Air just don't go 'Deep rest' in mode 'Sleep' after the designated 'standbydelay'. Deleting the file drag (var/vm/drag) has not helped. What helped, however, was a reinstall of Mac OS X recovery (without removing the hard drive).

Since then, consumtion of power during the sleep returned to a much better behavior: during the first three hours of sleep, consumption is about 3%. Subsequently, the system performs a wake of maintenance for switch in the standby mode, and after that which consumes almost no more energy. So, after 24 hours, the overall loss of battery charge are still 3%.

    I'm happy again.

  • Prevent the extension of sleep updated with the hotfix for 10.2

The extension of sleep prevent has an update to resolve a problem with it on 10.2

There are only a few changes to the index.js file, then you can simply copy this file and overwrite it in your SDK. It is tested on 10.1 and 10.2 should therefore be a simple file replacement and rebuild.

There was a small update for a short while you will need for the last 10.2 (1445).

  • Why screensaver not happening automatically?

My Macbook OS 10.11 screensaver does not start automatically even if I put the screen turns off after 15 min. when plugged.  I want it to start automatically when the screen turns off.  Thanks for any information!

Here are my current settings SysPrefs/Energy Saver/adapter:

Can someone tell me how to set SysPrefs (or something?) so that the screen saver starts automatically, as it was in OS 10.8.6?  In response to another thread, <screen saver does not>, I found a suggestion to use the activity monitor to determine which applications can be set to prevent sleep (screenshot below) and found that AddressBookSourceSync has the value "Yes" (prevent sleep), but could not understand how set it up on 'No' or how to proceed after you have done this.  Also do not understand how "sleep, prevention, which is not the same thing as 'turn off display', is related to the problem screen saver.

If you clear the display you see not the screen saver. In addition, unless you check "prevent the computer from sleep...". "the computer will go to sleep.

  • Monitor does not immediately turn on

My monitor used to work properly and then, after going to sleep when not to use the computer for a given period, he (the monitor) would not go back. Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del has worked for a short while then I had to turn on the monitor and turn it back on, then I had to wait several minutes before I could turn it back on, then I completely removed the duration of sleep, preventing the monitor go off leaving on until I is no longer needed on the computer or at the end of the day. After this point, start-up, the monitor would not come and I had to wait 2-3 minutes, turn off the monitor and turn it back and he would come. Then I had to wait 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then an hour. The last time that I turned it on (and I left it on since) I've been waiting 12 hours.   Once the monitor is turned on, it works fine. So I don't think it's a fault with the monitor. So what - the?

Your monitor may deteriorate gradually. The easiest method to check if you have a problem of monitor is to swap monitors. Alternatively, you can try to move your current monitor to another computer to see if the screen lights up immediately. Isolate the problem.

  • Sleep mode being blocked/prevented

When I try to put my computer in mode 'sleep', I get a warning window saying basically "peripheral scanning WSD prevents the computer mode 'sleep'."  I checked for an update of device as suggested, no luck.  I even disabled the scanning device, but still will not enter sleep.

    Hello

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Check the settings of the scanner device power management.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. double-click the scanner device and click the power management tab.
    3. uncheck all options and apply the settings.
4 restart the computer and try to put the computer in mode "Eve" and check the result.

If the problem persists, try the following steps.
Step 2: Stop the scanner service.
    1. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of objects, double-click scanner service.
    3. stop the service and apply the changes.
4 put the computer on "standby" and check the result.

Step 3: Disconnect the cable from the printer/scanner.
    1 shut down the computer.
    2. unplug the power cable from the printer/scanner.
    3. restart the computer.
4 put the computer on "standby" and check the result.

Step 4: Plug the cable from the printer and check the result.
We also recommend that you install the latest service pack successfully. Visit this link for more information: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935791

  • VgaSave prevention sleep/hibernation

I am currently using an HP laptop (Pavilion dv6t-7000) that works under Windows 7. A few days ago I accidentally disconnected the charger from the electrical outlet, causing my laptop shut down. When I turned it back on, the display resolution has been set very low, and the themes of the window appear to have changed. I set the resolution back to normal, but noticed that I couldn't have my phone to go into sleep or Hibernate mode. I tried to get through the command prompt, but received an error message saying that vgasave prevented my computer to sleep. I tried to reboot in safe mode and then restarting again, but nothing has changed. I also tried to update the graphics card as well as the BIOS, but that no longer works. In the device, under 'Graphics cards' Manager, I have NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M and Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000; the Intel adapter icon has an icon of the little mistake that resembles a nod down performance with an exclamation point. Can someone give me some advice on how to fix this? [Thanks:]

Hi CobaltArrow, welcome to the Forums of HP. To get the drivers for the graphics card, you can first of all restore the original graphics drivers using this method: use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

After that, the device manager should be free of errors. If this is not the case, remove items that contain errors and restart the computer. If they come back again with errors, you may need to try a full HP recovery to check that it is not a hardware problem.

If there are no errors, proceed to installing graphics drivers updated in the following order:
High definition (HD) of Intel Graphics Driver
NVIDIA driver graphic of high definition (HD)

Let me know how it turns out.

  • MS Optical Desktop 3.1 prevents the PC from sleep

I have Win 7 last month and for about 4 weeks now my MS Optical Desktop 3.1 keyboard and mouse prevent my PC from sleep. I had to disable the option "Allow this device to wake up the PC" in the Device Manager for my PC to sleep once more. I went to the power options and went right through the advanced and changed power options settings, including disabling the wake timers and the problem still persists. I checked all my software and nothing is set to keep awake PC. I bought a new optical receiver 3.1 and installed and still the same problem.  It seems that when I got the notice to win 10 has begun but that could be a coincidence. I've tried everything I can think of and still Microsoft Keyboard and mouse will prevent sleep. The only way for PC sleep is to disable "allow this device to wake the computer". It's very annoying. I was wondering if it was a windows update that is causing this or something else. If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know how to fix it.

  • How can I prevent Windows 7 virtual machines to go to "sleep"?

I am new to VMWare all this so please forgive my ignorance. Deploying a number of virtual desktops using VMWare View via Dell FX - 100 Zero Clients.  After a few calls for VMWare support all get up and running, most of the time I am extremely satisfied.  However, after 10 minutes of inactivity, the VMs go to "sleep", I have configured Windows mode 'High Performance' and 'Never' all set, I changed the OSD on the FX100 "0 (off), nothing seems to work.  It of something I'll just have to deal with, or is there something that I am missing.  This is important because once we go to full production, these machines will be used in a call 911 public safety Center and must stay up permanently.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think the script indicates that the machine will go to sleep delete the line. But the damage is done...

    Here is the solution

Reg ADD "hku\temp\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop" /v ScreenSaverIsSecure d '0' f - change the value to 0 to prevent the screen lock screen saver
Also make a check after you run the bat file.

    Hope this will help...

  • Prevent screen sleep

How to prevent the mobile device (Android or iOS) to put the screen on standby?

I use Flash CS6 + AIR, in the settings under permissions I have these marked two publication: DISABLE_KEYGUARD and WAKE_LOCK. But I do not see that it works, I test on Samsung Galaxy S3 (latest OS Android).

Although he said that simply being in the XML in these two lines, have I not to put anything in ActionScript 3.0 inside my Flash document code?

When I Pack APK file is also packed XML?

    Thank you

'desktop' is just the package who live these functions and constants, they still apply to mobile.

If you put your code in the timeline panel, you could literally copy and paste what I wrote in frame 1, simply delete the two words "private."

Permissions in Android indicates just that at some point, your application can use these functions. The user must agree to let you do, otherwise will not install the APK. This does not mean that you will use these capabilities immediately, but when you are not using the features of AS3, so the user already allowed your application to do so.

The deactivate part is important. Your application would get rejected by Amazon, if a user runs your application and find that their device never sleeps when your application is in the background.

    • Set the screen saver for a longer timeout
    • Disable the screen saver asking for a password
