Sleep problem VAIO Pro 13

Hi all

After the Windows 8.1 update (fact al the driver updated), I have this strange problem when put the laptop in sleepmode, when I put the previous day, the screen turns off but the laptop remains one, so even the keyboard light stays of less and the fan.

But it does not react to anything, I have to turn off via the power button afterwards. This problem happened also when after a certain time, the screen turns off to save the battery, I changed the settings of this sort that the screen does turn off, but it is offcoarse not an option...

Someone else has the same problem?

Well, I have not found a solution, and I've not seen another thread...

Someone on another forum said the service: Inetl (R) Agent Smart Connect, causes this problem. And by disabeling it the problem should be solved. However I can't turn it off...

    Hey!

I recently acquired the new Vaio Sony Pro 13 "."

Everything seems to work admirably except for the Wifi card.

In fact, the card works fine in a range of 15 feet around the router.

But when I cross this beach, wifi download & upload speed drop strongly: download of ~ 20Mbps to 0, 5Mbps!

This problem is clearly linked to the Vaio Pro as the other computers in my household are not such questions.

    What I tried to do:

    > Re-install card driver intel (available on the Sony site)

    > Change the properties of the map

Unfortunately, these actions did not solve the issue...

Do you have any idea what could be the problem and a way to fix it?

    Hoping to get some answers,

  • Problem updating drivers on my VAIO Pro 13 "

    Hello.

I have a problem to update the graphics drivers my grapchis on my Vaio pro 13 ". I do not know what model is my computer because he said that the model number: SVP132A1CM in the back of my computer, but the VAIO care says model number: SVP1321C5E?

I experience poor performance when I try to play games (browser games) and even when I watch YouTube videos, and I think that its because the old drivers of grapchis. I'm sure that my computer has an Intel HD Graphics 4400. I tried to run the Intel driver update utility and it says the following:

    A product detected: Intel® HD Graphics 4400

    Current driver installed 10.18.10.3304

    New driver available:

    15.33.18.64.3496 (10.18.10.3496)

When I download and run the installer says that it is not compatible for my system

No one knows what to do because im kind of lost here, and its pretty frustrating

SVP1321C5E seems to be a British model.  They also have a distinct community where you can post your request on your VAIO computer.  They will be better placed to solve problems on your computer. Here is the link to the British community.

On the Generic USB controller, under properties, there is a check box selected that allows the computer to "Allow" computer to turn off this device to save power

I unchecked which and now my mouse works fine.

Thanks for that. I couldn't work at all with the Pro my bluetooth mouse. Now maybe I can - if I can only find where I put the mouse...

  • Sony Vaio Pro stops randomly when power adapter is not plugged in

Hello. I have a Vaio Pro and whenever I don't have a power adapter is plugged in, it stops randomly at different time intervals. Before going off, I'd like to see sometimes the screen flashes a few times, indicating that it goes off.

I tried the battery on the bottom reset button, but that didn't seem to work. I tried a full system restore and it does not solve my problem either. My Vaio Care shows that my battery is in excellent condition.

    Model: SVP132190X

    Hi NamN,

Since you already reset the laptop but the problem persists, it is already an indication of a hardware problem. Please check you the bec Inbox later I'll send you a private message on what to do next.

    Thank you

  • Update the graphic driver for Windows 8.1 Vaio Pro

When can we expect an update of the graphics driver for Windows 8.1 on the Vaio Pro?

It is the site of Intel Web here:

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=23639

I can not use connect an external display to the superior to 1184 x 666: after many conversations with Sony on the phone, it seems that this driver is supposed to solve my problems, but it's still not available via the updates from Sony.

What is the deadline for this driver?

In addition, if there is an alternative solution, I would be very happy to know!

    Hi dcmdtna,

We do not have time for these updates. We are more than happy to send your comments to the appropriate Department. We place a very high value on feedback from our customers because it allows us to continue to improve. Alternatively, you can try to download the update from this link. I can't guarantee that it works. If this does not resolve the problem, we can always return the computer to its default settings. Just a quick note, please do backup all the files first and possible please create recovery disks for your unit before update you the driver using the download link. I hope this helps!  Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

    Hi Jürgen

I don t think that Microsoft would be able to help you usually the laptop manufacturers are responsible for own products

If you have any problems regarding the features of the laptop, you will need to contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your additional countries, you can call the hotline of Toshiba.

You can also ask the here community of users for some advice, assistance, etc.

This Z830-11J is certainly win 8 supported as you can see here the model number in the Win 8 compatibility matrix: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/checkWindows8Compatible.do?service=EU

    Hello

Icons - taskbar and desktop to grow

-Charm icons and the sidebar to expand

-Tiles Windows has been reduced to 4 rows!

Is there a way to get back to Windows 8 appearance? It looked like a 1080 p screen before update to 8.1 and I don't like the new scale!

    Thank you

Under control panel, select display [may also righ - click on desktop to get to this]. Then check the box "Let me choose a level of scaling for all my views." After that, check the desired scale.

  • HP Spectre13-3010dx sleep problems, Shutdown

    Hello

I recently bought this ultrabook and I noticed that the sleep and stop functions do not work as expected. Restart works very well.

    Description of the problem

    • When you try to put the computer to sleep, the screen goes black, but the system stays on (lights on the keyboard, the fan spins again). I'm unable to recover from this State unless I make a difficult stop (hold down the power button / stop) or wait 5 minutes, how the computer off simply. This kind of... defeated the purpose of "sleep". Haha.
    • Same thing happens when I stop the laptop - screen turns off, turns on and the fan turned on and unless I turned off by force, laptop remains in a vegetative state for five minutes and then shuts down its own.
    • In both cases, I am unable to recover from the black screen. No response from the computer, regardless of the key combination (Ctrl + Alt + Delete, etc.)

I dug around here the support forums and noticed other people had issues similar, but on different computer models (i.e., Pavilion, dv6, etc.), so I tried to take these specific solutions to solve my problem, but there has been no result.

Steps taken to solve the attempt

    • The laptop came with the version of BIOS Insyde F.09, so I updated the version of BIOS to F.13. Does not solve the problem
    • I went into the BIOS and reset all default settings. Still has not solved the problem.
    • I found another thread that the user had the same problem as me, but on a different model specifications. I tried to use their solution to roll back BIOS. However, it has not yet solve the problem.
      http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-lockups-freezes-hangs/shut-down-sleep-problem-HP-Pavilion-note... ***

Note: Problem of this other user has emerged due to a BIOS upgrade, while my computer was delivered to me with this already existing problem.

From this moment any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hi all

I am not convinced that it could not help others, but they gave me a day after I posted this, notification to install updates on my laptop and these updates fixes the problem. I do not know what updates took place, but they work.

For those who still know the problem, my apologies. I'm not really sure what HP update to solve this problem.

  • Edge 13 sleep problem win7 (intel)

    Hello

I think I have a sleep problem with my edge. If I close the lid, I can still hear the hard drive by clicking on current time to time and CPU fan. I checked all the power settings and it should go to sleep and nothing should stop going to sleep. Case may be where the cover he never sleeps, but if I choose sleep from the start menu, it will sleep. And I checked all the places it should go sleep by closing the lid.

Thing worries me a bit, it is that if I run in prompt command "powercfg - a" he reports this computer only supports the S3 (hybrid sleep) and S1 and S2 modes are not supported.

    Mystery solved:

    HW problem!

A magnet located in the lower right corner of the cover of the computer, under the screen rectangle shaped box is too low!

I tried one of my magnets "fridge" on the top of my power button and computer went to sleep state and _stayed_ in mode standby.

    * Sigh * I wonder what I should do to fix this problem? Magnetic tape to improve the weak magnet on my computer?

  • Error ' ' system timer was triggered "and hibernation / sleep problem.

Original title: Hibernation and sleep problem?

I bought a new laptop of Toshiba C55 series probably a little a month ago and for a while, it was fine, I had no problem. I had some mistakes with what is called a bad pool header, I've not experienced this once again. My main problem is with the sleep and hibernation. I went and disabled any parameter that would be extended automatically to my computer after a short period of time. It is set at only hibernate after like five hours, I'm never away from him that long. I don't want it to hibernate unless I put it specifically put into hibernation. I heard talking about hibernation is hard on your computer. I am usually only away from him for a couple of hours, so it's easier to have it in sleep so I can come back and get the right to return to work or what I was doing. I put it in mode 'sleep' whenever I need to go away for a few hours, for some time, I had no problem, he would go to the mode standby and stay there until I woke it. My problem is that most of the time when I put it in fashion watches, it goes to the hibernate after only a few minutes. WHY would he do that? And how can I stop it? There are times that I put him to sleep and he done as it should. Most of the time, but it goes to the hibernate after a few minutes. I don't want to make this period. Is there a setting I'm missing, I have conflicting settings on something? What is a small problem with Windows 8, or with my computer itself? The last thing I want to do is to restore it to factory settings and lost all the things that I have saved and have to reinstall my programs again.

There is also something else showing in my event viewer I've ever seen before. That means when he says "system timer was triggered." And can someone tell me what means the bad pool header error and how to fix it?

I found a solution, I noticed when I Hibernate the computer at night to go to bed is when it remains not in mode 'sleep'. I stopped it in hibernation at all now and it says in the mode "sleep" very well.
