• Thumbnails broken in Firefox not in IE

  Hi, I developed a web site, or should I say try to improve it.

  We have installed a miniature generator called Magic picture on this site.
  Now, I get a few thumbnails broken on the site, and these vary with each page load.
  This phenomenon does not occur in Internet Explorer.

  We ran firebug and the headers are back NetworkError: 508 unused for these specific thumbnails.
  We know that this means that the application has pooched our servers resources to get these broken thumbnails, but again once this happens only in FF.

  We know also all the links are correct, because the thumbnails are running under the same script and only about half are affected.

  Why FireFox is slamming Web server resources with its applications?
  I was intrigued with this problem for days now.

  I am new to Muse. I've got this slide show which seems to work at checkpoints stop, but between breakpoints that do not adjust the images. There are a lot of screen sizes I can't work on different devices. Works on iPhone and iMac, but not on the kindle. On some pages where there is no slide show, my reconfigures images at any size, but not with the slide show.

  I am a newbie to Muse.  I learned how to add text to individual images alt, but my question is about images in a slide show.  I used the widget to create a slideshow.  I have images for slideshows in a folder.  But I don't know how to add alt-individual text to each image in the slide show.  Any help appreciated.

  The text should not display at all! It is intended for users who cannot see the pages and to help intentionally exposâmes it of all visitors to the web site: the search robots Google !

  Most browsers use the alt or the ToolTip as an indicative popup text, but it is not a guarantee or obligation. So if they decide not to do with images that are buried in deep in the HTML code (such as the slide show), they might overlook it.

• Changes of State of Muse broken on iOS devices

  My site requires changes to State on the Tablet and mobile versions. It's a specific interactive feature which is really the purpose of the site - an animated cartoon. IPhones and iPads don't recognize the State of any kind changes (click on state changes, bearing not only who are of course different on touch devices). Tablets, Android-based phones work perfectly with the site. I confirmed with a representative of adobe and still they tested, they are not clear on if it will be fixed. I had to talk to several REPS just never answered follow-ups, even if I downloaded my files so he could test and it has downloaded them. It has been broken for months and I got ahold of a representative who confirmed that it is software which is buggy and not something I do.

  The States changes are an important feature, even announced as a widget in the program, and they are structured on devices that make up a large percentage of web traffic. I would never use Muse if I had known that this feature did not work. Now I'm stuck with a ton of work done and broken site and he "may or may not" be fixed.

  I just wanted to post this for others who might be trying to use the state changes in muse and are confused.

  We are able to reproduce the problem on our side as well. I reported the problem to my engineering colleagues.

  We currently use CSS for different States, and we believe that the behavior you have surfaces because of the way Safari (iOS) Decides to manage these States. We are currently researching a fix for the problem. I hope that we can solve the problem sooner rather than later with one of our future updates.

  I'm trying to customize the scroll buttons in a Muse slideshow widget to accompany the rest of the branding on my site. I drew custom left and right arrow images that I use as fillings for buttons that scroll slide show. However, it seems that the two buttons are related - if I fill out the custom with my left arrow left button, that it applies also to the button to scroll to the right and vice versa. I'm stuck with two arrows facing left or right two face those. Does anyone know a trick to UN-pair settings for the buttons? I want to be able to edit the content of each button individually so that I can fill each button with a single image.

  For example if I have images of different dimensions (horizontal and vertical), but I want everything to anchor at the top left and the bottom of the slideshow to be transparent, so I can see the background of the site behind the images - is it possible? I'm trying to make anchor images so all in the same place and for the bottom of the slideshow to be transparent, without all the images must be clear gifs - it worked for some, but does not work for finer images... images are clearly breaking down.

  Is this something that can make the muse slideshow widget? If this is not the case, is there a sideshow of third party widget which offers more control. I had a hard time gain control of slideshow - so he could appear how I like. It seems so basic - and it is fundamental to my site, because it is a site of artists I'm working on that...

  You can use the empty composition widget if you don't have a lot of images, since you need to import each in manually. But you have control over the justification & transparency.

  The only thing you need to do is to make transparent triggers.

  I use Lightroom to prepare images that I will use in Muse slideshows - basic slideshow widget.  In LR, I cropped virtual copies of everything in exact proportion, I need Muse.  In the LR export dialog box, I use the dialog box Image size affect my exact pixel for image dimensions - 784x560px, 72 dpi.  In the export from LR > file setting dialog box, I put in JPG, sRGB.

  My question is this: what is the optimal QUALITY setting in the export from LR > settings dialog box of the file to produce the smallest file size and maintain excellent picture quality in pages Web of Muse?  The QUALITY slider is from 0 to 100.  In addition, because of my Tablet and phone slideshows are smaller than the desktop slideshow, I would be wise to produce another series of images in LR to each of the three formats, sized for the respective formats?

  Note that I do not use the HiDPI parameter in the Muse Site Properties > content.

  By creating a link, I think you want image hyperlink where users when click the image should be directed to linked page?

  You can select the hero image in the slide show and then insert link via hyperlink.

  If you are referring to a text showing link with image, you must use a composition and insert text in the container as well as the image.

• Layout broken on Firefox 64-bit 30

  After the upgrade to Firefox 30, one of my sites is not rendered correctly.

  I run two sites almost identical dotnetnuke (http://www.drawingworkshop.com/ , http://arthouse.tc/arthouse/ ) with the same host. Drawingworkshop.com will properly render in Firefox 30 on Vista 64-bit, but arthouse.tc is OK. Try to track down the problem, I called the host (godaddy), and the guy that I talked to was able to see the problem on his browser. I don't know what system he was using.
  It looks like a problem of style sheet, so I installed the arthouse.tc style sheet in the site of drawingworkshop and still no go.
  The site works fine in IE, Chrome, Safari, and on my android phone.
  Many of my visitors use Firefox, so I need to find a Web site solution that will allow them to view the site properly.

  The console has been useful and interesting; Thank you. I've identified the problem as Firefox 30 added 40 pixels or more space above the ads, pushing the rest of layout of page around, very well highlighted in the case of drawingworkshop.com. I did a lot of troubleshooting and found the culprit:

  1. dnn_TopBanners a {}

  margin-left: 1px;
  margin-right: 1px;
  margin-top: 0px;
  margin-bottom: 0px;
  }

  I put this in the original stylesheet to correct an inconsistency in which an Explorer of the rendering of the banner does not match "others. I have reset the margins and filling and it seems fine now.
  Obviously the anchor tags have been putting pressure on the content of the ads and causing it to jump a line in the link. There was a lot of width in the div topbanner for ads; It may be that Firefox 30 could not stretch the link to accommodate a margin.

  Everything worked fine until the update. I can reach the sites with a google search, but the Favorites and bookmarks bar does not work. As far as I can tell that the location information is still correct. Someone else has had this problem before or know of a fix?

  Please check if this happens in Safe Mode. Safe mode disables the installed Extensionsand themes (appearance) in (Alt + T) Tools > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > general > use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/additional custom modules can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed to normal mode of Firefox to check if an extension, theme, option or a hardware acceleration is causing issues. Deactivation/activation of hardware acceleration and some types of modules in normal mode may require a restart of Firefox.

• All the drop down menus are broken in Firefox 5.01 on system dual monitor.

  When Firefox is open on the second monitor (not the one designated as my primary monitor) and I try to open a drop-down list (including folders of bookmarks in the bookmarks bar, the menu options or in the menu bookmark) they twinkle and disappear, leaving the outline of the menu back and allow me to always select something from the menu. I have attached multiple links in the screenshot below.

  This happens every time, any monitor I appointed as my primary monitor. I made a new installation of Windows 7 (low first hard drive upgrade) (x 64), all my drivers by the Web sites of manufacturers and Windows Update, installed updated Firefox 5.0.1 with no Add-ons and it still happens. If I swap which monitor is my main, the problem follows the secondary monitor. I was running an ATI Radeon HD 4870 and suspected the map (because ATI blows and do not support one of their cards to Professional workstation that comes in my PC caught fire and has less than a year and a half old), so I went out and bought a new PNY GTX card 460SSC, downloaded the latest drivers and the problem persists. I have restored my video drivers in a full version (from v275.xxx to v274.xxx) and the problem persists. I also just discovered that the menus are corrupt in Add-ons too, namely FireFTP menus when you bring them down.

  Do you know how to make a slideshow (fullscreen / reactive) with BREAK (pause as pictogram)?

  You can use the option in the slideshow that would resume the slideshow with the defined time.
