  How do you export the slideshow? You create a slideshow project with "file > new slide show ' and then use the export button in the toolbar to export the slideshow?  Or have you used an instant slide show playing an album as a slide show.

  Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know have a problem with the export of photo slideshows for OS X, it's not what you expect. From what you said in your other thread and troubleshooting already suggested, I would recommend testing in a new user on your Mac, as this can determine if unexpected behavior is related to the file by the user or by setting trying to reproduce the problem to another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, connect to it and test for the issue.

  You can also try to export the slideshow in different definition (480 p, 720 p or 1080 p) and see if that makes a difference with this question:

  Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. Photo slideshows are a great way to show these great pictures of your collection. To use only a part of the track in your project, you will need to use another application to cut and edit the track first, before add you it to the slide show. GarageBand is an excellent application which can be used to change the part of the track that you want to use with your slide show. Please see the links below for more help.

  You can't keep slideshows as captioned photos.  Slide shows get migrated in the form of albums for the Group of photos is maintained.  But Photos don't have the ability to add descriptions to the slide show so that they would have to be manually added to each slide automatically.

  However, a possible solution would be to export every slide show in iPhoto as a Quicktime movie file. Which will keep the titles and descriptions on each slide.  The resulting QT files can be imported into the iPhoto library before migration or photo library after.

  Your Apple TV must be on the same network as your computer and file sharing must be allowed on the Mac.

  If you keep your images in iCloud photo library, you must use the same identifier Apple on your ATV.

  The first option is available on ATV via the computer application; the second through the Photos app.

  I have created a Photo Slideshow and want to export so it can be played on a pc. Slideshow is 292 slides and 4 music selections-duration about 12 minutes.

  I exported in higher resolution for Dropbox, but replay is pixely and not good.

  This looks more like a problem with Dropbox as Photos.

• Is there a way to make a copy of a slideshow HD?  Would be nice to have on a memory stick to show elsewhere.

  Is it possible to make a copy an aperture slideshow HD?  It would be nice to have a copy on a memory stick, so it could be shown to another computer / TV.   Since opening refers to its library and the iTunes library to its contents any information is scatered.  Make a CD / DVD lowers the resolution.

  Export controls of the slide show by using the menu at the top right.  Save on the memory stick or elsewhere.

  If I open a slideshow of Medscape, skin lesions, for example, there are 2 buttons that can be used to advance the slides: one on the right edge of the image itself and the other just above the image. None of them works. When I click on the arrows that they turn black as if they'll work, but nothing ever gets. Or not by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Java and Flash are recently updated. The slideshow works fine in Safari.

  The offending extension was fuzzy 5.9.1720. It is a tracker-blocker. When I discovered that it was the author of the offence, I searched the Blur and discovered how help files 'allow' followed on the Medscape site. With the follow-up of the permit, the slideshow works fine.

• Slideshow: Can I cut songs to start at some places in the project?

  I create a photo slide show project. First of all, I tried it is iMovie, but with a large learning curve and the time constraints, I use photos instead.

  I have some pictures of hundreds and 3-4 songs.  I would like to choose the exact point in the project that each song comes on, instead of having the four songs evenly divided by the length of the film. Cannot know if this is possible.

  No, it is not possible in Photos. There is a solution that you could use.

  1. Select all the photos you want to play with the song #1 and create a separate slide show.

  2 - export the slide show as a Quicktime file.

  3 - do the same with photos of song #2, #3 and #4.

  4 import a #1 to 4 Photos slideshow.

  5 - create a slideshow with these 4 quicktime movie files.

  Not elegant or fast, but doable.

  This means that there is no good solution for photo slideshows are so limited.

  When I saw your post I thought that a lot of time on how to help, but Photos slide shows are good for great effects and animations, but very poor to tell a story with the text.

  • We must enter text manually, because text fields can be filled in automatically in the title fields.
  • We don't have much control over the sequence of photos, unless we use the fundamentals of Ken Burns or classical themes.

  And if the crash Photos, all work will be lost, unless we limit the potential damage by creating the slide show in a small separate photo library, we backup frequently all in working on the project.

  I saw reports of bugs for slideshows crashing when using title with text slides. So I can't confirm a known bug. And I can't confirm a known to limit the number of title slides in a slide show.

  When you start with your slideshow project, you can create a separate photo library and do small sections and more.

  Copy the photo library with the slideshow frequently to a backup disc project, so you won't lose too much work, if pictures should plant again.

  You can combine the parts, when you burn videos exported on a DVD. I would create a video separated from each chapter of your slide show.  Create your project in a new library will help also, if your current library should have a problem that causes accidents.

  When I want to create a slide show with text I do in Keynote.  I don't want too much effects and animations distracting from my photos, but it's a matter of taste.

  You can created slideshows, using different themes, to the Photos App. similar to how you create photo books.

  Built in screen savers in OS X can also use your images of Photos in various collage.
