  I am member of a community of online karaoke and all recently changed my old system WinXP with a Dell Inspiron 560 with Windows 7 (second hand purchase from a family member).  I noticed, compared to what I heard when I was using XP system, there is a slight delay to hear me in the speakers when I speak into the microphone.  I have the microphone (equipped with a 1/4 inch socket, not a micro USB) and 2 music keyboard connected to a mixer Board, which is then plugged into the mic at the back of the computer socket.  On my XP system, I had a card its installed Soundblaster, on the Dell, it's using the audio connections on the motherboard.  I was wondering if this is something Windows 7 or if you have to make adjustments in the sound properties to eliminate the delay... it makes it sound like an echo effect which makes it difficult to record songs.

  Thanks for the drawings, that helps a lot!  Somehow, I see this work (how to set up the scanner):

  1. set up the record length to be 12us (4us trigger samples, 8us after outbreak).  If the sampling frequency is 100 ms/s, that would be a record length of 1200 samples.

  I have a hardware module FieldPoint where I read 8 channels for thermocouple. I want to display the value of the thermocouples in real time (or as close as I can manage) all saving the values in a CSV file at discrete time intervals (every 10 seconds). I am able to display the values in real-time, but the recorder real-time records, produce a lot too much data. I'm able to delay the recording interval, but in bulk then display in real time!

  The following example shows a method I've tried. The delay time in the loop of logging seems to delay the entire program. I also tried to use the loop of the logging of a sequence (using a simple delay of 'Wait') structure and a structure of matter (with a counter and only do the loop of logging real when the counter gets to 1). I tried to configure synchronous display without success.

  I'm having no luck and wonder if someone could point me in the right direction?

  Personally, I prefer to have ToolTips set up instantly and maybe a way to make them disappear if they get in the way. In fact, what Windows needs is a status bar as at the bottom of most browser windows. Then, there would be a permanent area to display additional information without cluttering the user interface. Too bad Windows 7 doesn't have it.

  OK, here's my set-up. This is jank and cheap

  I'm running my pedal, my pedal Digitech RP from now b/c my BOSS ME will not work for that for some stupid reason, but anyway. I run my pedal for my small mixer 4 channels.  I have a cable with 2 plugs 1/4 inch on one end and a 1/8 inch of the other decision-making. I have this cable inserted in my L & R out and plug the 1/8 inch into my mic slot on my laptop.

  I know hearing 1.5 very well but I wanted to try 3.0.  With my setup, there is never a delay on check in 1.5 but in 3.0, I have a slight delay.

  Anyone know what could be the problem?

  It will almost inevitably be a combination of things - firstly, AA3.0 doesn't use native Windows DLLs, etc. for recording in the way 1.5 don't - it uses a motor of ASIO.   I can only speculate what the cause to occur, but a main suspect would be "disk utility" installed by Western Digital. These things have tended to cause spontaneous loss of data you describe. Products may go under the name of "Drive Manager", "SmartWare" or words to that effect. If you installed anything resembling this description, uninstall it according to his instructions.
