Apparently, the new update of Lollipop fixed the problem.

  • Update BIOS killed the headphone

First off, this is the problem - I have a vostro V131, i5-2430, running win7 x 64. Earlier today, I flashed the BIOS A05 to A06 (downloaded from the dell support page). Everything works well, and my laptop speakers work fine as well, so I'm not alerted to any trouble. A little after that, I noticed that my headphones do not work when plugged in. Autour experimentation, I find that regular speakers etc do not work as well. So: his fate of the portable speakers very well, but all plugged into the audio Jack does not work. With what anyone plugged into the Jack, the sound continues to play as usual by the speakers. I'm worried that I may have bonked a pane on the mobo.

The headset, I hear some slight hiss/static on the right - nothing on the left.

I am not sure, it could be something else, but since the update of the BIOS was the only major change for the system in awhile, I'm inclined to think what's caused the rupture. I also searched on the ' nets, tried all the usual driver solutions - still nothing. Speaking of drivers, the audio driver is a Conexant HD SmartAudio - (the driver listed for my label service on Support Dell's driver Conexant Audio CX20671). In addition, the v131 has a single audio for the two speaker/microphone jack.

Dell does not allow me to Flash my BIOS A05 - he says "don't recommend flashing to the older version" or something like that, then kicked out of the process. I also tried to run this or that his diagnosis which is pretty useless, its just continues to play computer speakers no matter what happens. If the screenshots any additional info would be useful, I will respond quickly with her!

Also just for that throw out there, on my machine of warranty has expired, so support a no.

Help please? Thank you very much.

    Hi faceplantcat,

Thank you for answering my question.

In fact, I found that the recently updated for Windows 8.1 had solved the problem.

I have nothing but updated Windows and reboot the laptop. After that, I was pleased to realize that the problem has been resolved. That make sure that the problem was not material.

I don't really know what date of the update, but it's mid-September 2014.

I hope that this post will help others who fall into the same problem as us.

    See you soon!

  • facing the front camera is installed on the iPhone 6

Hello! Please check this. I am aware that there are similar issues with a solution here, but I'm here for a slightly different reason.

Now I can´t find the email to talk to an official apple which is what I need. I need a to confirm that the movement of the front facing camera is a known problem due to poor/low quality glue and goes without having the phone in a drop of water or any form of damage. This happened to me, I have never dropped my iPhone, but through the daily use (usually, no extreme movement or whatever it is) the device is passed so that the gray "half moon" covers half of the hole for the camera. So naturally I talked to the place where I bought it, it was sent to repair (ish, they never repair, they send you just a new) where we discovered that the iPhone was slightly bent. I was shocked, that I never did anything that could cause such damage, but realized that somehow he had to me. Accordingly, any warranty has been deleted, then they won´t looking at the camera because the phone is folded. I explained that the issue of the camera is well known and he did not as a result of the bending. They do not believe me, and that's why I need a Apple to write me an email saying that the problem is known and that it does not come as a result of the bending. It is the only way that I can return the guarantee for the cameras of sake. The email will be shown the guy from the store that takes care of this. I read higher than (some) iPhones suffers from a bad glue and a half moon appears, but can't find the source. Thanks for any help!

    Sincerely

    Oscar

While it is true that there are those who knew their glass/screen covering part of their front facing camera, this question can also be reproduced with force by bending from your iPhone. I would have meant you for nothing to happen, of course, but as it is now, there is no way to verify what happened before the others, as the only documentation they have of this is an afterthought. The issue of bending to the iPhone, whose screen is fixed to, and the movement of the screen of his normal place which covered now your camera, are present.

That aside, however, if you already had Apple inspect this device as it looks like you have, you will need to pursue any other opportunities on this through the same avenue. Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

    You have it too?

My screen AT10 has a slightly reddish. I used the 'filter your screen', but it is not fair. Addressed to someone?

After that update to version 4.3 takes the focus is still wrong - fixfocus - infinite - cannot be set. Missing manual calibration. When I put infinity, should be on the horizon. But it's not. It's good to see the apk mobilwebcam or KennyCamera.

In addition, the camera does not work with the exhibition.

Oh, another discovery. When the camera lens lend a lens with a focal length of 200 mm, so the focus to infinity corrected at once:-o. As the lens on the tablet had the focus more than necessary!

  • iPhone 6 camera front incentered, Apple would replace my phone?

Hello, for my front camera is not centered properly. Is not the effect on the front camera, you can still take before photos with it looking good, but it just bothers me. So I was wondering if Apple would fix it or simply give me another iPhone. IM asking this because I heard a lot of people who have had the same problem and they just received a new since it was not repairable. My front screen is slightly cracked too, which would prevent me from getting a replacement? I have also the Applecare warranty of 2 years, incidentally. Thanks in advance

  • Photon: Rattle of camera

Well, then, I got my Photon replaced yesterday for wobbly vibration, and that works as it should. And the phone does not have the same creakiness to the previous one, it's a plus.

However, I find now that it has a rattle that I reduced to the camera. Basically, if I shake the phone (slightly) towards and away from you with the phone (not side to side, if you get my meaning), then there is a rattle in the vicinity of the camera. The clincher is that there is a clicking noise when you turn on the camera and the rattle is gone. Turn the power off and rattle back.

Does anyone else have this? I guess this is the automatic update mechanism to engage, but I wouldn't waited until it is loose, when it is not lit. And, I don't remember my previous Photon in doing so.

I used the iDownloaders app browser, (it is a video download application I use for a few years with no problems), when a message came "your machine is infected with a virus please leave the app and contact Apple." I removed the app from my mini iPad 2, but now I meet including crashes in Angry Birds Seasons and Rio. I want to restore the iPad, but I fear that the virus will reinstall themselves as well. Apple did not contact because I never heard of someone who got a virus using iOS. I took it slightly think to delete the iDownloader app would solve the problem. • When shooting video, it is necessary to turn off Steadyshot when the camera is on a tripod?

When shooting video with a NEX - 5n, 6 or 7 on a tripod, it is necessary to disable the Steadyshot in the menu, or is the camera supposed to sense that she is on a tripod (like the small Sony Hv9x)? I ask because sometimes my video tripod with these cameras mounted seems to have a slight pulsation or flutter, I can't explain.

The SteadyShot function does not serve a purpose, while the camera is mounted on a tripod. Given that the tripod is stationary when you take a picture, there is no excessive movement to the camera. It is not necessary to use the SteadyShot function in this situation.

Sometimes involuntary blur can occur when you use SteadyShot, while the camera is on a tripod.

  • Which camera to photograph the paintings and then print postcards and greeting cards?

I currently have a PowerShot SD600, but maybe I need a new camera for my purpose.  Those who would work for my application?

I paint with acrylics and the pintings out for between 1 ' x 2 ' and 4 ' x 4 '.  I want to take pictures of them in order to have a professional printer to create postcards and greeting cards to sell in museums.  The printer indicates that it will use a 1200 dpi printer.  I really want the absolute best cards and the image that I can get.

Should what resolution I take photos, how can I be sure that I take photos in the correct resolution (or is it adjustable after the fact), and that carmeras would work for this?  I have Adobe PhotoShop if it has no effect.

I would like to use the camera for this purpose for about 6 images per year.

I also sell houses and could use the camera for pictures of the housing list.

With regard to the price I'm willing to spend up to $600, if necessary.

    Thank you.

If I were to try to do this on a budget...

The camera LENS is more important that the body... then I would seek to lenses.  For this type of work, a macro lens will work better because they detail more high resolution capacity (even when you are not using them for close-up photography).

The camera BODY is less important.  Your work is not in motion when she is photographed (it is not the sports photography or action) and this means that the features that are ideal for sports are not important for what you want to do.  You don't have to worry about performance in ISO or noise because you get control lighting (and you need control lighting.)

An image will be generally well look at 300 dpi or more (even a little less than 300 dpi will look still good enough).  It will not look as good in 150dpi and some laboratories refuses to print anything less than 100 dpi (even if you insist) because they believe you hate and requests a refund (even if you insisted that they print it at such a low DPI).

If your postcards are a size 4 x 6 "then a 18 megapixel print to 864 dpi (which would look fantastic).   Even a 5 x 7 would look great.  A size of 8 x 10 "would receive up to 432 dpi (which is always very well).

If it's only 6 photos per year and you would shoot them the same day AND you don't think you would use the camera gear for anything else THEN... either (1) strongly consider hiring a person for the job, or (2) consider RENTING the equipment if you can't find anyone to do it (just be warned that it will be tricky).   You can rent equipment from places like LensRentals.com or BorrowLenses.com (and probably others I don't know about.)

    Camera

Being budget minded, I would shoot it with a Canon T5 (18 megapixels - about $400 although if you get a refurbished unit you can get it for less).  "Renovated" is about $200, but I see the store gun shows them as not in stock right now.  You can also use a Canon SL1 (very slightly more expensive than a T5 but if you get a renovated body is $279)

    Goal

A Macro USM Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 lens.  It's the power of resolution in detail above in point lowest price available in the line-up.  All other macro lenses are more expensive.  It is $ 419 at most merchants of Canon, but I see you can get a refurbished copy directly from the Canon store at $319 (and it's in stock):

    http://shop.USA.Canon.com/shop/en/catalog/EF-s-60mm-f-28-macro-USM-refurbished

    Tripod

You will also need a tripod.  For light work as a T5 and a 60 mm macro lens, a tripod Manfrotto 190 series would be ideal, but Manfrotto is a reputable tripods, so they will not be the thing cheaper than you can find (but they are quality).  You will be able to find budget from companies like Slik tripods (not nearly as Manfrotto but it will be cheap.)  I'm not advocating normally buy tripods 'cheap' because they break a lot and now that you buy a tripod to replace the broken tripod you bought to replace the tripod broke before this one... and at the point where to add it you could have come by purchasing the quality tripod from the start.  Most of photo equipment is sustainable and does not need to receive the "white glove" treatment during the manipulation it - they can take a bit of a transition to tobacco and are proud to show their scars from the battle.  But if you buy a tripod at low prices... they do not so good shots... Be gentle.

    Cable tie

I would also get a long camera USB modem cable (the cable that comes with the habit of the camera is particularly long) and allows you to set up a laptop computer connected to your camera so that while your camera is pointing to your paint, you can set the lights while watching your computer screen.  Search Amazon for "Attached USB Cable" and you'll see a lot of cables 15' that work.  It must be 'USB type A mâle' at one end of the cable (it is the most common USB plug) and ' Male USB Mini-B ' on the other end.  You'll notice brand cable 'Home tools' (about $37) and you'll probably also see the brand "Monoprice" (about $7).  Guess who I bought?  Yes indeed that cable $7 works just as well as the cable $ 37 (it's simply not painted "hunter orange").

A Safety Board: attach a camera, it is possible that someone (you, perhaps) could tripod on the cable modem service, shoot it is hard and damage to the USB port on the side of the camera.  .... I use some Ribbon adhesive (adhesive tape is similar by the dint of... duct tape but duct tape leaves a VERY messy residue when you take it off and the tape adhesive comes off clean and does not leave a sticky, sticky mess, icky.)   Plug one end of the cable to the camera, give yourself at least a foot or two of slack and the cable on the tripod of bands so that if someone goes off on this issue, he's going to shoot the tripod instead of the device.

    Lighting

Normally, it takes thinking of everything that has any amount of "shine" to it as if you are shooting in mirror.  If flash would be visible to you while looking into this mirror, then it has reflection will appear in your picture.  For this reason lighting is normally left to the sides (and I said 'Coast' (in the plural) because you will need more than one.)  If the flash is disabled on ONE side, while coast will get a stronger than the other side light and will cause lit image.  You'll therefore need to balance the lighting have lights on both sides.

These fires are not necessarily photographic flashes (who would get expensive), but you probably don't want to use the daylight balanced lights.

Bob has already pointed out the tricky part... most of the paintings are flat on the surface (oils, watercolours) so as long as the light is off on the side, you will see no reflections.  But acrylic have texture and you think that this 'texture' (since dired painting is brilliant) is little micro-miroirs to all sorts of crazy angles.

I have never tried acrylic of photography, but my father was a painter and I'm familiar with the behavior of the paint and can well imagine the problems this will create trying to photograph.

    Circular polarizing filter

If the light source from an angle (closed on the sides), then usually a polarizing filter can reduce this light reflections.  The EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens has a diameter of 52 mm front filter threads.  This means that you may need to purchase a "Circular Polarizer" filter in diameter size 52mm to deal with Reflection.

You can find inexpensive circular polarizers, but these are sometimes of very poor quality and create alterations in wobbly color.  Large filters thread names are B + W the Hoya "PRO1" brand series filters (budget fact Hoya filters too - line PRO1 which are good filters Hoya).

    Rental

BTW... If you want to go nuts with the resolution of the camera and you plan to RENT equipment rather than buy it... my camera recommendation would be to move to a Canon 5 d and a Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro lens.  The 5 d is a 50 megapixel sensor resolution 8688 x 5792 pixels.  A 4 x 6 "print 1448 dpi format (well over 1200 dpi of resolution of your printer).  Format 5 x 7 ", it is still 1241 dpi.  A 5 d is not cheap (it's a $3,600 for the body 'only' camera).  So, I would not buy one to shoot 6 images per year... but I sure would rent one for work.

  • Need a camera that will take excellent shots of ROOM so I can sell them on eBay. Suggestions?

Camera shots should show plan big detail on currencies of copper and silver.  In addition, the room must be far enough away from the camera to allow enough light in the room.  Can be a HS done SX510 or a HS SX50?  SX50 to $430 is more that I want to spend.  Help!

Donnie, here are some examples (and if please exuse the bad lighting and color - balance they were thrown together quickly for demo purposes)

Here are a couple of sterling pieces to show what is happening with the lens.

This image was taken with a Canon 5 d IS of III using a Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 L Macro USM lens.  The target was set to f/8 for this exhibition.

f/8 would normally provide a decent depth of field... but look what is happening with this image:

Note that the central area of the room on the right focus, but but the front and the rear edge are blurred... and this is at f/8 - keep that in mind.

I wrapped a piece of tape around the ring on the lens.  I have worn to the front edge of the room closely and used a marker to mark this position.  I've then adjusted to the rear edge of the piece of far and who scored as well.

Then I took a series of exhibitions of the brand front focus up to the mark of development back tweaking the lens very slightly between each exposure.   A total of 10 exhibitions have been taken.

I then used the software stack of development (in this case, I used ability to 'Merge photos' of Photoshop) by merging pictures of 10, the result is this picture:

Look closely and you will see the office near foreground and distant background are still unclear, but coins are sharp from front to back.  Actually I need more images.  This can be done very gently tweaking focus between each exosure or using a "rail"focus"(a track - like device that you put on a tripod and then mount the camera on the rail and move it toward the front of the camera, any backward or forward for an amount you can control for macro focus pictures with focus stacking).

It's a lens 100mm macro on a full body frame (and frankly I could have been much closer with this goal), but with a body of cultures-APS - C frame (as any '' rebels '' or mid-range model) the EF-S 60 mm macro would have provided a very similar angle of view.

The SX50 HS and SX510 seem to be good in the point minimum distances... so that they are able to achieve the desired results, but regardless of the camera, I suspect you will need to emphasis of stacking for good results (I used Photoshop, but there are many applications that can do including applications that are designed specifically for the update macro photo stacking.)

These images are reduced for display on the web, but the originals are absolutely sharpness and you can look at every surface texture.

  • Camera selection help

I'm looking into getting a new camera for me.  Occasional photos of the family and others.

I'm wanting to get a camera that is about the size of a smartphone and take better pictures than one (my wife, for example, has one of those Amazon Fire phones).

I was watching the ELPH cameras and cameras in the series.  Any recommendations?

In the same sense, what makes a camera like the better/more expensive s 340 ELPH Powershot Powershot 150 IS?  Looking at the specs for individuals and others, they look for the most part; more big difference I noticed is the ability of Wi - Fi, I have no interest in.

    Thank you.

The PowerShot A series and the series ELPH cameras are only slightly better than newer than sensors mobile phone cameras are only slightly larger A and ELPH. A beautiful compact camera that would be higher than the cell phone would be 120 in my opinion. It is a camera very pocketable which has the same sensor size as the much larger G16 amateur camera and all full manual controls and the scene modes you could want. The lens is much brighter than the A series cameras and ELPH, with a much better ability to low light that cell phones are usually able to. The S120 can shoot in RAW and JPEG format and has a decent zoom range. I know the price is probably more you want to spend, but it would be a real advance upwards from a cell phone camera that you would really notice. The S110 is the old model and is much less expensive and would still be a big improvement over cell phones.

As far as the cost of the differences on the 340 s and 150 IS, the 340 a longer zoom range, for movies HD is a high definition, has a larger screen at the back of the camera and wifi. The 340 also has a range of ISO superior to work with.

  • The Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792G - 709L is equipped with a camera Realsense from Intel?

The Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792G - 709L is equipped with a camera Realsense from Intel?  I'm looking for a computer laptop 17 "Skylake founded with an Intel Realsense camera and screen 4K.  An article in September read:

«Compared to the Broadwell and Haswell, the Nitros material Skylake get new versions and DDR4 RAM, faster wireless connectivity, a slight exterior redesign (the lid is covered with a metal foil now), more choice screen (including the options of wide gamut UHD to be 15 and the 17-incher) and a USB port gen2 with Thunderbolt 3 support 3.1.» Nitro blacks also get faster PCIe 3 rd gen storage options and a webcam Intel RealSense optional will be also available for them from December. »

It is now December and I can't tell which models have the camera Realsense and those who don't. They say just "Webcam YES". The Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792G - 709L stands out because of the price.  It's $400 more than the fitted with similiarly VN7 - 792 G-752J with the only obvious difference being a 512 GB SSD instead of a 256 GB SSD.  The hard drive more nothing can possibly justify the $400 price difference make me wonder if this is the model I am looking for.

Can anyone confirm if the Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792G - 709L comes with a camera Realsense or otherwise an update on ETA what Skylake based systems with RealSense will be available?

    NitroRS,

What I can see, is that the Realsense camera is an option on the Black Edition Nitros, VN7-* 92G series to early 2016.
