Slow... MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2011

Hello

I am running Yosemite.  My MacBook works but its extremely slow.  It takes forever for my photos to show and I have not even tried to use my Garageband recently because his frustration.

It works well.

Is there any type of memory that I can add to speed it up. (if this is a stupid question so please excuse my ignorance)

It would help to upgrade to the latest operating system?

Also, for some reason, the calendar is not sync with my iPhone.  Photos are but not the calendar, even though I have all calendar checked in the settings.

Thanks for any help that comes my way.  In the past, assistance from these focus groups was incredibly useful!  Thanks for your time,

Surfher

(S.M.A.R.T status is not reported for external drives). If the disc is "verified", then select the withdrawal (in general, Macintosh HD) volume layouts in the list.  Click the first aid tab, and then click the repair disk button. • Very slow Macbook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012

Hello world! I'm not savvy at all, so my apologies if something is not clear in my message below.

    Data sheet:

    MacBook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012)

    OS X Yosemite: Version 10.10.5

Processor: Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

    Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Storage: 139.3/499.25 GB in use; 359,95 GB free

For the last two weeks, my Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) has been extremely slow. The colorful beachball (aka the wheel of death) often shows up, even when I'm just trying to type something, such as now (I'll have to type really slowly, so it can track). This slowness came very suddenly.

I tried resetting SMC/NVRAM, repair disk permissions, then by restarting in safe mode, but the problem persists (I also tried to upgrade to El Capitan, but was met with a loop of reboot delicious and recovered my time machine backup again to the recovery mode). I think I can also try to reindex spotlight, but I may or may not succeed.

I was not able to create a Time Machine backup successfully for the last month, because it gets stuck on "preparing for backup...". "(not sure if this could be related). I also wanted to point out that Dropbox is one of my startup items, but I got it for centuries, and it has never been my Macbook it ridiculously slow. Before this slowness, I would leave it and my Macbook would be back up to speed. I also tried to remove the list of startup items and slowness persists even after rebooting.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • Charger for MacBook Pro 13 inch, late 2011

What charger for MacBook Pro (13 '' end 2011) since the megasafe 60w charger is no longer available?

Thank you very much for the help.

According to find the right power adapter and cable for your laptop Mac - Apple Support end 2011 MacBook Pro 13 "uses the following http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC461LL/A/apple-60w-magsafe-power-adapter-for-macbook-and-13-inch-macbook-pro?fnode=8b which shows it as being available (at least in the United States).

If this is not available, note that you can use an adapter of higher power such as mentioned in the following extract from the first link above:

Adaptors for Apple laptops are available in 29W, 45W, 60W and 85W varieties. You must use the adapter appropriate for your Apple laptop power supply. You can use a power adapter higher compatible without problem, but it will not collect your computer faster or work differently. Lower power adapters do not provide enough power.

  • MacBook Pro (13-INCH, late 2011) constantly gel

My Macbook Pro, (2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 with 4 GB 1333 MHZ DDR3) recently started to freeze with a command or a simple task that I try to do. I've updated to the latest version of OS X El 10.11.5 captain who was available for me in the last week or so, but the problem started before that would go far so I thought that maybe if I've updated what the problem was. There is, of course, no. I tried to clean my computer for more disk space (I currently have 50 GB) but it's really frustrating when it freezes every second I'm removing something or download something.

At startup, it takes time for it usually loads. I'll connect and 3 out of 4 times, it freezes when I type my password then unfreezes when it connects. It takes forever to load. I already checked the system preferences for startup and connection applications. There are not.

I open safari (or any other application) and it will take awhile, freeze, show me the beachball cursor and then open minutes later. I go and type on safari, it freezes again. I can't do it through any simple task without it freezing constantly. I DO NOT download anything off the internet, nor do I even all bookmarks or whatever it be backed up on Safari. I even tried to reset those already with a recommendation of a Web site. Safari is not the only application that freezes like this or the other. My Photos App will similarly, freezes my finder and it will take 10-15 minutes to open a folder with a single point inside. Each. Unique. Request.

Also, I got a notification saying "adobe script can not finish running and can slow down your computer" or something similar to this, you still want to run or quit smoking. I have leave of course and then check to see that the adobe script was running. He was not one, or anywhere to even stop it.

I don't know if my battery has nothing to do with it either. My Macbook currently drains the battery in less than an hour if is not plugged.

I looked to the top of the console with a recommendation out of a Web site, for example, I don't know what I'm looking for, either. I try to scroll (even if it freezes when I do) to see if there are errors, I know the hand but honestly, I don't know. I also tried the repair utility disk, however, who failed because whenever I try to do so that it freezes and is in fact frozen where it not same process and try to break free.

I looked at the RAM, but also don't know what I'm looking for here either.

OH, finally I tried running Safe Boot, but it's just too slow.

Unfortunately I can't take it into an apple store since I live about 8 hours away we and hoped someone could help me to solve the problems. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am available for questions as well.

Download and run EtreCheck, created by one of his own assistants here in CSA. It is a diagnostic tool that is very useful for us to find problems. It will also give us additional specifications on your Mac. After his execution after the logfile here. It will never contain any personal information.

  • MacBook Pro 13 inch end 2011

I recently updated my late 2011 13' macbook pro RAM and added a second HDD. After that I did it, my laptop started to crash on a regular basis about once a day. It hangs at random times, so I'm under no specific request. It crashes when running itunes or google chrome or practically any application. I have eliminated the possibility of the problem being the RAM, by replacing the old 4 GB of RAM, and the problem continued. Then, I thought the problem was the hard drive caddy. I removed the caddy and the problem persisted. Now, I don't really know what the problem is. Every accident is made up of the laptop graphics are distorted and freezing and 3 beep sequence which indicates a memory problem. Whenever it crashes, I remember the exact time and when I restart my laptop, I check the console and each time there is no trace of what either for at least 30 seconds before the crash. I ran 2 tests of material, and he said everything is fine and it seems that I ran out of possible problems, except for the logical card being the issue.

If anyone has a wisdom on this subject, please help me.

If you go into the Console > user Diagnostic reports AND System Diagnostics, it is something listed there?

If there is a hardware problem so all events recorded in these places.

Also, try to reset the NVRAM on your machine:

After resetting the NVRAM, then try to reset the System Management Console (SMC):

  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, early 2015) stop problems

Given that I've updated OSX 10.11.5 last week, that I just can't stop my Macbook through the right way.

All I get is my background wallpaper and nothing much happens. When I click on the finder icon, I see that finder does not.

The only way I can stop my Macbook is by pressing the power button.

  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, early 2013, retina), starts (black screen)

    Hello

I am experiancing a problem with my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, beginning 2013), that it does not start.

When I press the power button then it gives the sound normal to look to the top, but the screen remains black and the apple logo does not appear.

I tried to do the recovery from the internet to reinstall the software but without success. He proceeds to the stages of resettle up to the step to choose the disk to reinstall, and it has NO RECORD OF SELECTION.

I tried also the utility section of disk in the recovery of the internet, but the desktop shows that 'offline', and so I can't make the repair for the office.

When I click on fix it does not and that he had this message "EFI partition does not work" something like this.

    I'm struggling with this problem.
