slow or no printing on HP PSC 950 xi
I have a psc 950 xi only recently started to print VERY slowly, or not at all. An impression can take 10 minutes to complete. I tried the diagnostics HP, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, unplugged and replugged in the printer... nothing seems to help... Help!
This is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges. If you have a replacement cartrdige (or even an old cartridge out of ink) try replacing first black then the color cartridge. Remove the cartridges and clean the contacts as described here can also help.

I can't find a solution to make my PSC 950 printing from loading windows 10. I ran doctor print and it says "unable to appoint a good Printer Port" with the yellow exclamation point. To be more precise, it prints the first 1/4 of the document, then throws the rest of the white paper. My PC is connected via the USB port on my printer.

I'm having a problem with my hp psc 950 printer - when I try to copy something it gives me an error to support code on enter to align cartridges-i do this and it is not always copy - how can I change the printer to use only black ink, the color cartridge is probably more good, I just changed black ink and I really don't need the color in my copies - all solutions would be greatly appreciated
I understand that you do not use the black cartridge only. I find the features page and the manual for the PSC 950 but did not find that I was looking for. I would suggest trying to use the printer in mode single cartridge, but I am not sure if the printer supports this feature, that's what I was looking for.
Try out both cartridges, then put in black only. If this does not work, the only other suggestion I have is to replace the color cartridge.

I did a test page to the printer and comes out in color. Checked the hp psc printing preferences and the color of button is defined. Yet when I try to print from the internet, it will print only in black and white. What else can be set to cause this problem?

Don't copy my almost 11 years hp psc 950. The screen display "warm up" message will not disappear; Therefore, the copy function will not work. Printing, scanning and fax are still working fine. I see that you have a problem with the printer. I suggest you do a hard reset with the printer first.
Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall
Take out the toner cartridges.
Wait for 30 seconds
Plug the power cord into the printer and the wall (be sure that the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)
Replace the toners/cartridges in the printer

I'm trying to scan a document from my HP PSC 950 text, but I see not all formats text for this product. If I use the 950 Panel, I get an option "text MSWord, but I does not work." I receive a message to install HP-program, but when I try to verify via the HP homepage, I get the message that all necessary dirvers already installed on windows 7.
Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) has been removed in Office 2010, however, Microsoft has provided a way to install it for Word 2010. Here is an article in the Knowledge Base (KB) directly from Microsoft with complete instructions.
Unable to print on HP psc 1350 all-in-one of iMac (OS 10.6.8) but capable of scanning; also able to print other printers connected to the same computer. The printer is connected directly via the USB port and I downloaded and installed software for printing on Mac using OS 10.6. Shows the impression that labour is on hold whatever program originating the print job. The State of the 'mistake' poster print job, but there is no information about error numbers or other details of the error. The correct printer is selected by default and layout is correct. The printer has been disconnected, turned off and restarted and the computer has been restarted several times. Able to print/scan/to 1350 PSC all-in-one of older Mac laptop (OS 10.5.8).

If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish
Restart your Mac
Now reset the printing system:
-Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
I have problems printing my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. When I am able to print the process is extremely slow and the printer made a lot of noise before and during printing. You are printing or copying? I just checked and the printer in Windows 8.1 driver does not name option. If you then copy the default one be amended as follows:
My officejet 8500 A909a worked fine on windows Vista. Suddenly he began to hesitate for a minute or two before starting to print. Once it starts printing it seems to work ok. I installed the new drivers and firmware to try and solve the problem but to no avail. It almost seemed to get worse after that.

I just installed a new ink cartridge and try to align. When I open the HP PSC 1500 Setup page, it gives me the option "align cartridge". When I click on it it opens a dialog box titled 'printer properties '. There is no information on how to align the cartridge.
Thanks for your reply. It didn't really solve my problem. As I've mentioned before, I tried to get the 'how' info from the HP PSC 1500 series control page that displays a link to "aligning the print cartridge. By clicking on this link opens a dialog box that has nothing to do with the alignment of the cartridges. It was not very useful, but eventually, I remembered what I had to do was insert the alignment sheet and press "scan."
Unfortunately, I have major problems since upgrading my PSC 1210 previously hassle to Windows 7 Professional (32 bit) on a Dell Latitude laptop.
1. connect the USB cable from the system causes to restart almost 100% of the time. (Start with her already plugged the same result.)
