Small business account users

How can I check how many users can be recorded in the account at the same time? If we don't have that one license, do we disconnect before every person connects to use an application?

Hello

I see you have subscription team creative cloud with a single license. With the help of this one user license can install this product on 2 machines and can use one at a time.

This license cannot be used by multiple users. you will need to add additional licenses and assign to other users if you use adobe creative cloud as well.

  • Small Business Accounting 2006 for Vista download

I am trying to download my 2006 version of MS small business accounting on my NEW computer which has Windows Vista as operating system. I downloaded all updates and it still not open. I click on the software, and it shows that it is opening. Then he said that a problem caused the SMBA to stop working and MS will give you a solution for the program and it will stop runnng but then I don't get any information.
I checked all of the patches that I can find and that are related to this issue. Help! Thank you!

    Hello Miranda,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forum.

Your version of Microsoft Small Business accounting 2006 is not compatible with Windows Vista.  You can view the compatibility of the software with Vista on the compatibility of Microsoft site. http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/search.aspx?type=software&s=small%20Business%20accounting%2023006&page=6

However, you are eligible for a free update to Office Accounting 2009 if you have a licensed copy of your software in 2006.  Existing customers who have a license for 2006, 2007 or Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 are entitled to a free upgrade of 2009 Accounting Office. Please refer to the URL below to determine your upgrade path.

    http://www.ideawins.com/upgrade.aspx

I have also included the link on how to upgrade to Office Accounting 2009. It is recommended that you back up your current data in Small Business Accounting 2006 before the upgrade. If your SBA 2006 should not be SP2, you may need to upgrade the service pack before the backup.

    http://www.ideawins.com/UpgradingFromSBA2006.aspx

Once you have upgraded and loading your data, you might want to consider uninstalling Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 (SBA). SBA uses an older version of SQL Server called MSDE (Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine), and that your computer will run faster if you uninstall SBA and MSDE.

Please post again if you have any questions or concerns.

  • small business computerized

My company has been one of the BETA testers for MS Small Business Accounting 2007, I ran and used since on my desktop PC running Windows XP from

I've recently updated my PC that installed Windows 7
The software was released on Mamut which are totally disinterested and not responded to one of my 5 messages asking for help, I suppose that they are only interested in business accounts not small businesses
I want to continue to use the original software I have 6 years of information for products, quotes, invoices, customers etc on it.
Is there a patch or someone can tell me if it is possible to use this software or recommend a newer version
I have a small p ###d off the coast as part of the BETA test with MS was that I was going to have a free license of the software for life as much as I know
Mamut may not even be interested enough to respond to the messages that I am not prepared to use their software
I asked the guy at my local COMPUTER centre where I bought the new PC could they operate, but they have failed

I have the 2007 version works on Windows 7 and works very well, even though my installation was on Vista 64 bit upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit, he is running, open the company deposited very well and I can do things to pay normal without compatibility problems. If you encounter problems of compatibility with Windows 7, try running it in compatibility mode of Vista SP2:

The software is designed for an earlier version of Windows such as Windows XP? Most older programs don't work with Windows 7, in particular some programs for Windows XP, can you need to perhaps upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition if you run not an edition and download the Windows XP Mode free program which will allow you run old programs:

  • WE HAVE small business Acctg and got windows 7, HOW do I make this work / compatible?

We have Small Business Accounting 2006 and you have upgraded to our computer systems for Windows 7.  Now we find that they are not compatible.  The SBA 2006 is related to our software.  WE must have this compatible.

    Help, please.

E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

    Hello MarthaFry,

SBA 2006 is not compatible with Windows 7. However, you didn't say what version of Windows 7 you are using. For example, Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and ultimate edition have the option to download Windows XP mode. This installs a copy of XP on your machine (in Windows 7) that allows you to install the accounting software in a Windows XP environment. That might solve your problem.

If not have you tried to install SBA in compatibility mode for Windows Vista? Try to right click on the file setup.exe (or install.exe) SBA and selecting Properties. In the properties box, click the tab compatibility Place a checkmark (tick) in the box to the left of the "run this program in compatibility mode for" and then select Windows Vista from the dialog box just below this option. You will need to click on the arrow to the right of this box to display all operating systems.

Click Ok, and then click the file setup.exe (install.exe) to start the installation.

  • User logged on the server over the RDP session - Small Business Server 2011 x 64

We have a Small Business Server 2011 standard x 64.  We have the configuration of the remote desktop on port forwarding in the firewall to allow a user to connect to this server using RDP remote desktop.  This isn't a server terminal server.  No, there are no available Remote Desktop Manager settings.

When the user connects through the RDP application and connects to the server.  If the users session is idle for 15 minutes, the user is connected to the server (not disconnected the RDP session, just to connect to the server).  The user must log into the server every time that happens.  We tried adjusting the Remote Desktop Session Host settings and changed the Session time limits, but this isn't the parameter we are looking for.  We have looked extensively through the default domain group policy and see nothing active to this behavior.  We examined local group policies and studied the session time limits in the user and computer configuration > policies > models Admin > RDP >... session host and it is has anything configured here which could trigger this behavior.

Yet once, it connects the disabled user, not closing the remote session.  We have also examined the user account for this user and looked for resume posting require logon settings (although with SBS, it is not even there to adjust the display settings).  I had partner Microsoft supports focus on this during one hour (he didn't use too much of my time to support) and they have been unable to resolve within an hour.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.

  • Behavior of the account profile to prompt when using Windows 7 to connect to a Small Business SERVER 2003 domain

I just got a complaint from someone saying that the guest account takes more time and more time to log the area.

We have a number of XP machines and a couple of Windows 7 machines at the reception (to give the impression that we are a company thinging before - you know the kind).  In any case, everything is controlled by a Small Business SERVER 2003 for the integration of Windows 7 machines is that a bit of a botch as well as group policy is concerned.

The fact is that in my diagnosis, I noticed that the guest account is only given a temporary profile whenever someone connects to use it (it is used for the interviewed work if they need Internet access for some reason any).  Thus, the profile is deleted from the registry and comments folder is removed from C; \Users as soon as they log off.  This was brought to the head when I tried to add a printer to the guest account and could not see all of the printers listed in the AD.

Is this a normal behavior, or does all the weird sounds you?  It also works with XP in this way?

Thanks for any input and comments.

  • What is the difference (other than the device/user limit) feature which would prevent me from installing this new software on Small Business Server 2003 R2 SP2, which 'requires' Windows Server 2003 Std Ed & SQL 2005 Std Ed 32bits. ?

Need to install new software to the main application. Software provider said Windows Server 2003 STD. Ed. (32 bits) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 32-bit Standard Edition, Cumulative Update package 8 for SQL Server 2005 SP 2, MDAC 2.8 or later.  We have Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 Standard Edition (SP2 R2).

Software publisher made a special note that 'Microsoft SQL Server sent as part of Small Business Server is not supported. Please contact us for more information about SQL Server Enterprise Edition. "(contradiction?)

A user to our small business reports that she one day noticed that the contents of its files to Outlook Express disappeared.  Records are intact, but the messages have disappeared.  Strangely, what happened to half of its files; the content in the other half is still there.

    She uses Outlook Express 6.

In addition to comments of Bruce, likely OE compacted messages and in doing so, he probably wiped out the where they are absent.  Check your Inbox and message store bak files which are backups dbx files prior to compaction (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2).  If you cannot find the bak files, then you will probably use the extract of the service drive of my DBXpress program (see www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/).

  • Accounting on a Cisco Small Business SF300-08

    Hello

"Cisco Small Business 300 Series managed switches Administration Guide" and the sheet indicate that this switch can make requests of accounting with a Radius server. On the switch interface/CLI SF300, there is that the authentication port, the port of account cannot be resolved (and nothing is sent by the switch to the default port). I guess that the SF300-08 doesn't manage accounting. Maybe I need to change to another model. Could you give me another model in the same price range?

    Thank you

    Laurent.

Hi Laurent, I am pleased that the 1.2.5.70 has solved this problem.

Please keep Advisory of the 1.2.5.70 firmware has also been lifted for now.

Please note that we have identified a potential problem with the 1.2.5.70 update for the series 200, 300 and 500 switches. As a precaution, we took down the 1.2.5.70 free while we determine the cause of the issue, the seriousness and the scope. • CRM using SQL database in an environment of small business often inaccessible with the following error message

    Hello

This is my first time on this forum so bear with my ignorance!  I'll expose the background of my setup and then explain the error.

We have a small business with a server running SBS2011 and PC running Windows 8 and 8.1 connected to the server in a domain environment.

We use a CRM product called Emu Tall that uses SQL Server 2008 R2 on the server for the database and the PC run a local application that connects to this database.

On a daily basis, but completely randomly and sometimes several times a day, a user will try and open the application on a PC and get the following error message.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlEnum, Version = 10.0.0.0, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file.

At first, I thought it must be a matter of waiting time as it seemed to happen every morning, but I've proved since that it occurs at any time of the day and is apparently unrelated to amount of users or idle time or something like that.

Here's another oddity that hopefully sheds some light on it. If I go to the server and open the CRM application on the server, it works very well since it is only the PC that have the connection problem.  In addition, as soon as I connected to the server of any PC can connect immediately (until it happens again later in the day).  I don't need to stay connected to the server, connect one time and close the session and he "fixed" it for a few hours for all PC users.

I contacted the CRM vendor, and they are completely confused and have no idea what to do.

We are trolling along at the moment with me opening a session on the server for launch launch whenever a user receives the error message but it is far from satisfactory.

A final observation is that it does not always.  It used to work fine.  The problem began just two months ago and seems to coincide with the increase in our user from 5 to 12 users license even if the CRM provider swear that it is nothing to do with the license.  They may agree; I don't know enough to argue the point.

Any help will be appreciated! I'm sure it will be a simple solution and someone there will know why and the answer immediately but is elusive at this time.

  • best configuration for Small Business Server

I'm looking for advice on HW and SW recommendations for a small business.  We have 15 users, 20 computers and 3 printers.  I currently have a single Windows Server 2008.  I want to run a domain controller main for all users, file sharing, print server, possibly Windows Update Center and eventually MS Exchange.  I am trying to decide the best configuration of HW with a fairly cheap budget.   I currently have 1 I7 based server with 4 GB of Ram, several IBM servers, P4 306 m (I have 4 +), and a lot of hard drives (all in a half rack).  I also need a decent backup system.

Can anyone recommend the best configuration of HW player and hard?  Should I analyze server roles?  With respect to the SW, I'm a non-profit and use Windows Server 2008 (at a discount)

    Thank you
