small liquid crystal display when booting with success on windows vista

Hi, I have my laptop acer 8920 (windows vista Home premium 32 bit OS) and it has been over a year now. As my laptop boot or loads of windows, everything is fine except for the lcd display.i have a weak display after startup. By pressing Fn + F6 and press any key sometimes the LCD for a second then turns off lcd screen. And as I plan where you want to solve the problem, after trying several attempts lighting of the lcd screen turns on and never dies. But when I turned off my computer each time and turn to reuse my problem still exists. What could be the cause why I have this problem on my LCD SCREEN? Comments or answers would be appreciated! Please please post a reply or send me an email to * address email is removed from the privacy * THANKS...

Sounds like the lights behind the screen that make visible failed. If an external monitor connected to your laptop works fine, then it would be my best first guess.

    I want to create a virtual machine using VMWare Converter 4.0 from an Acronis True Image to ESXi Server 3i .tib backup file. The conversation seems to be working, but when I try to start the virtual machine, it begins to start, displays the Windows 2003 splash screen briefly and then fails with a blue screen with the following error:

    Any help much appreciated.

    You already have a virtual computer that start - it's just bluescreens - so no need to run the full convert again.

    Juist use Converter 3.0.3 to configure the virtual machine - part seemed to have failed

  • Error 0x8007045D when you try to install Windows Vista SP2

    Hello

    Currently I have Windows Vista SP1 and want to upgrade to service pack 2. When I try to do the update of Windows, I get "error (0x8007045d) Error_IO_DEVICE. I also tried to install it in safe mode, I get the same error message. After having traveled a bit on the internet, I found that it is probably because my HDD is damaged... so I run the chkdsk program...

    The chkdsk program stops at 16%... Step 4 of 5... When 85785 files off 300000something files are done... and it does nothing more. It keep running like this all night, it goes no further.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do to successfully install Windows Vista SP2?

    Thanks for your help!

    OK, I started the computer with the Windows CD and I ran chkdsk /f at a command prompt.

    Chkdsk /f found errors it corrects.

    I ran Chkdsk/r... .he got stuck after scanning 85763 files... near the place, he would always get stuck (85785 files)... so I guess it's the same file that crashes chkdsk.

    The good news: I still have a functioning computer.

    The bad news is that I ran the SP2 from windows update in new safe mode and it didn't work... I'm still stuck with my problem.

    I have an extra hard drive... that I ordered from Dell for my girlfriend's computer, his computer died before she could use the player, but it is larger, then the drive of your computer and it is brand new... the only downside is that the player has been implemented for the computer of my girlfriend (pilots and other things) and does not work in my computer. I guess I'll try to format that drive to make it work in my computer... it should fix this and then bad SP2 remedial power very well.

    I guess I have no choice.

    I suggest to remove avg (uninstall) then try sfc/scannow then chkdsk /f several times. a few times, they need more going to make things more

    Microsoft security essentials is a better a v for not update couseing problems.

    You can allways put avg in the back.

    not having is not enouph to free space for temporary files can couse problems too.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Method 2: perform a Windows repair installation
    If method 1 does not resolve this problem, you can perform a repair installation of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. Run a repair installation will restore the current installation of Windows to the version of the installation DVD.     Hi Hayekk,
    There are several things to try:
    ·      Remove and then reinstall the device:
    1. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click Bluetooth devices.
    2 Select the device that is not working, and then click Remove.
    3. click on Add, press the reset button on the unit (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), check the box my device is set up and ready to be found and then click Next.
    4. If the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.
    5. follow the remaining instructions in the wizard.
    ·         Make sure that the device is on and that the batteries should be replaced.
    ·         Make sure that the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is attached and turned on, and that the device is in use and detectable. If you don't know how to turn on discoverability, read the instructions provided with the device or check the manufacturer's Web site.
    ·         The unit may be out of range of your computer, or too close. Try to move closer or a little further away from your computer.
    How to password lock a file with documents in windows vista?
    Hello
    You cannot use the password to protect the files in Windows Vista. However, you can encrypt the file.
    Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by scrambling the contents so that it can be read only by someone who has the appropriate encryption key to decrypt it.
