• Practices for the iPad mini?

  I'm in the early stages of the design of my mag for the iPad... now the mini iPad seems to be all the hype and the latest news says that the mini can sell them more.

  Then... I know that the dimensions are 1 x 1 on bumping down to the small screen... but what about the sizes of fonts? What experience? Someone at - it already ahead of the game?

  I have my own answers to these questions, but any one out there is best tips or links to articles they find informative...

  I think 18 - pt body text is great for the iPad 2 but too small for the iPad mini. Of course, it depends on your design and what font you use, but it seems to be a good idea to bump up the font size a points of couple to account for the smaller screen.

  For the same reason, be careful with the little buttons and small tap zones.

  I also noticed that for some reason, the WHO and frames with scroll cles PNG/JPG look great on the iPad 2, but to watch a bit more pixelated on the iPad Mini. Maybe it's my imagination.

  Make sure that you test your design on the Mini.

  I have an old iPad 2 with photos synced from my PC, 5000 photos and movies, the total capacity is 29 GB for photos only.

  Yesterday I bought an iPad 9.7 pro and synchronize the same files to iTunes, and now the capacity is 40 GB for photos only.

  Total PC folder is about 60 GB.

  Any suggestion why I 11FR more?

  Is it possible that the iPad pro has a better screen for her resolution to use more pixels than the iPad 2?

• Cannot resize the Firefox window under pixel 374

  Using Firefox 26.0, completely new download and installation.

  For various purposes, I'd like to be able to resize the entire window of Firefox on a width smaller than 374 pixel, however it no longer works. It remains simply greater than or equal to 374 pixels. Before I did the update to 26.0 this works beautifully.

  Of course I can do it with web developer, but I'd rather have all the Firefox window to pixel 200 or 300 width in pixels for example.

  Note that with the bookmarklet you will probably run into safety problems that Firefox does not allow a page opens as a pop-up.

• Satellite A300 has red pixels instead of black

  My recently purchased Toshiba Satellite has a problem with its display (or graphics). It has type III Pixel defect (red subpixel is constantly on) and so something black comes black and Red (verticle lines). Unlike other cases on the net, the pixels stuck on the entire screen, not just a small area or pixel.

  Is the problem in the screen material or graphics hardware?

  You can have up to 6 type of pixel 3 failure and if you have more then the display will change to an ASP.

  It's not easy to tell if it s a display or problem of graphics cards, but you can connect the laptop to an external monitor and if you have the same problem, it s question an LCD.

  So, or so, you should go to your local ASP and check your laptop.

• JPEG2000 lack of high-ranking Pixels

  I'm just now convert Quicktime, DV NTSC and JPEG2000 files. I keep all the settings (frame rate, resolution, etc.) exactly the same thing. But, for some reason, export always replaces the upper horizontal line of the image by transparency or, if I go without alpha channel, a black continuous line. Everything else seems good export, the image looks identical to the original material... except that the last row of pixels are all black. Anyone know what could be causing this? Thank you.

  It solved! Problem only occurs when the rendering with 12-bit RGB or rendering with any RGB with "Return to a maximum depth" enabled (which means it renders the form RGB 12 bit and then bring it down to x - Bit RGB). RBG - 12 is deselected, media encoder exports very well. I don't know why RGB - 12 is broken like that, but at least I know where the problem is, so now I can work around it. Woo!

• Selection of Pixel single column, then paste...

  This might look like a very unusual request, but I was upset to find the answer.

  In a given photographic image, I would choose a single pixel in each row of pixels, running up and down in a columnof a pixel.  Then, I want to eliminate (Cup) nothing else on the Web with the exception of the one column of selected pixels. From there, I would take the pixel selected in each line and copy the pixel color on each line on the left and right of the pixel selected.

  The end result is that I have a series of horizontal lines of pixels height of one color (based on the color of the selected pixel) through the image of left and right.

  Looking at this picture:

  Select a single pixel on each line in a single column-

  xxxxxx XXXXXXS

  Remove/cut everything except the selected pixels in only one column-

  ...... S......

  Easy. Use the brand single pixel tool to select a line of pixels. Cmd/Ctrl-J to copy pixels into a new layer. CTRL/cmd-click on the layer icon to select these pixels. CTRL/cmd-T to turn those pixels on the width of the image.

  Mix/Fix can open images at full resolution instead of images of downsizing to 2048px when opening an image compared to the Creative clouds > Lightroom. Please update your application and let me know if you are facing this problem of pixelation always. Also, remember that if you use images downloaded from the internet or other places, they are smaller and so pixelated.

  I searched and read the forums, but I guess I don't understand the reason for the extra 100 pixels.

  When I'm in design mode and I pin an object at x = 20 to '0' I expect it to be 20 pixels from the edge of the browser. But it is not (see table)

  The reason why I ask you this, when I design my site on graph with pixel position paper that I have to use mathematics to change my drawing as Muse puts an extra 100 pixels on both sides of the document. I know its simple just subtract but why. If I put it at 960 pixels wide it shows 1160 in creation and mess up my placement mode. Why is it necessary to put the extra 100 pixels.

  So what that means.

  If your page is 960 pixels wide with 0 margins / padding 0.

  • You won't get a scroll bar when you make your browser 960 pixels wide.
  • If the width of the browser is more broad then 960 pixels, you will see your browser settings complete (in the example above - grey)
  • If the width of the browser is more small then 960 pixels, you will see a horizontal scroll bar.

  If your page is 960 pixels wide with margins 0 / 100 pixel padding.

  • You won't get a scroll bar when you make your browser width 1160 pixels wide (960 for page) + 100 padding left + padding 100 right
  • If the width of the browser is wider then 1190 pixels, you will see the settings of your browser fill (color / image - no matter what you put in it)
  • If the width of the browser is smaller pixels then 1190, you will see a horizontal scroll bar.

  Thank you for your help and explanation. I'm afraid that my knowledge of Muse of work method is relatively new to me, only after using it for a year and 20 years of work in Dreamweaver and code editors may interfere with the way in which I use Muse.

  Just to clarify, I have setup my new site with zero padding and margins to zero , with the centered content. So when I opened my master page, I see a margin of 100px on the left and the right, as in my screenshot. Is it okay to Muse?

  I told my new site to be of a minimum width of 960px and you'll notice the second screenshot, some margin guides and leaders from -100px and continue until 1160px, an addition of 200px on my page 960px I specified earlier to have zero padding and margins to zero .

  I apologize if I'm being obtuse, but this seems very different from any traditional method of work.

  Ah, sorry for the misinterpretation of your question.

  There has been recent changes to shorten the dialog boxes to allow Photoshop to the screens more small with fewer pixels vertical (e.g. netbooks).  We can assume that it is just how they reorganized this Panel in the pursuit of this goal.

  I got my video, it takes about 40 minutes. 2 cams. On the edition I see audio and two video clips synchronized, perfect. On my last video exported mpg, the first cam is a bit delayed and the second is in phase. Why that?

  MPEG audio is not good. Please use the "MPEG-2 DVD' preset such as mentioned previously. This will create two files, the .m2v video and audio .wav. Import both files into again and again will transcode the audio format Dolby AC-3 for you, no settings to change there.

• pixelated buttons despite vector slideshow

  I have created a photo slideshow in Indesign CS6 and exported as vector in PDF format. To navigate, I placed buttons to go to the previous or next picture in the slide show. However, the buttons are pixelated on my iPad. (The article is exported as a PDF and the buttons are as such eps vector files.)

  Does anyone know a solution?

  The buttons are still pixelated. Put the buttons in MSO work only

  and then add no fill or STROKE buttons on them.

  It seems so latly I have:

  Control - T > adjust the height or the width of the object by 1 pixel > control - return to complete

  the adjustment does not stick and object remains the same size.

  By default, the central point of the transformation is located in the middle of the object. If you add a single row/column pixel then you tell Photoshop to add half a pixel to each side of the EEG which then deleted when you apply the transform. If you want to add a single line of pixels then say which side you want to add it by choosing another point of reference for Photoshop
