  If you want a search engine to be your "home page" when you open Firefox, you should always keep your favorite search engine on an open tab, like www.google.com . You will need to do some work to keep it open, as ensuring that this search engine was the last tab that you had open before leaving Firefox. Now, go to Settings - customize - tabs - and make sure it is set to "always restore." Now, if you open tabs before you quit Firefox you do not close, the last of them opens and can technically be your "homepage". Now you can open your e-mail login page too, as long as it was under the tabs open in firefox. Hope this helps some!

  Hey people, I'm trying to apply a part of security, we are bound to our job of hardening mechanisms.

  One of them asks a banner of warning to the default screen of the web "Welcome" you get when you punch in the IP address of the ESXi host.

  On our ESX host, all I had to do is change the following file:

  /usr/lib/VMware/hostd/docroot/index.html

  However, we're heading ESXi and I simply do not have a directory move in this direction.

  When I get to/usr/lib/vmware, everything I have is:

  lib

  lib64

  python2. 4

  None of them have the file in question.

  So my question is where the devil is this file (or what file I need to change) to change the web page.

  I use the latest version of ESXi 4.1.

  If you can log in directly on the console, it would be easier.

  I'm not sure that vMA can do what you're after.

  The new version of Firefox 13.0 has just installed and I find the icons and the navigation buttons on the homescreen annoying and distracting and I want to remove them and leave everything else as is. Is there a way to do this easily? Thanks for the help.

  Tap and hold an icon for a second or two. All icons will be begins to vibrate. As soon as they start pulsating, tap an icon you want to hide, and then drag it so that it covers another icon you want to hide. Once your phone sees two icons occupying the same space, you will be asked if you want to create a folder to contain these icons. Answer 'Yes', give the folder a name, and then drag any other icon you want to add. You can name the folder something like 'extras' or 'junk', etc.

  Any new owner of the 9000.

  I've had three questions for you gurus:

  (1) is there a way that I can choose which icons appear on the home screen, so that I don't not to hit the MENU button and then scroll to access ones I use regularly...?

  (2) ATT (in the United States) made wonder a user name and password when I try to connect to att.com/blackberrystart.  I already put in place an email 'external' non-Exchange, the private, ([email protected]) on my phone, but of course I can't use it to connect to this site.  Does anyone have an idea as to what is happening?

  (3) even if I send emails using this account [email protected] of "BOLD", what should I do to RECEIVE emails on account of [email protected] using POP?

  Any help on these three issues will be fantastic.

  You can hide those that you no longer want to see. Just ALT + click the trackball on those that you do not want to see and choose hide. With the default theme only the top row of icons will be visible without hitting the menu button.

  When you go to the page AT & T BIS are you in the 'create new account' first? You can create an account to access the site. After you have created an account, you can access the sections of e-mail accounts to configure your BlackBerry email account.

  You can move any icon in the home screen, press menu, go to the icn that you want to move and press menu, and you have the cahnace move to the right, left, up and down.

  If you want to move any icon into any folder, do the same thing and you have the chance to go to the home screen.

  You can find a new "theme" for your device, on the one hand, that would include several icons in the home screen.

  Look at the Options > themes and see if you have more choices for themes, or looking to theme different developer sites one you particularly like. Many theme developers are listed here:

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  The keyboard lock icon was on the home screen until I installed the updates that have been sent to me today on my BB.  Now that the icon has disappeared.  Check the Section help and could only know how to lock or unlock the screen manually.  Check the instruction booklet provided with it. again without help.  Searched through the BB Curve Demo Online - still nothing on the addition of the back icon.  It was so easy just push this button and not to worry about the keys in my pocket or your purse...   Looks like you have updated to the point where the locking function changed. In older versions, you had an icon on the screen. In the latest versions, you use the power on top of the BB button do a keyboard lock. To get the icon back, you must activate a device password... then you will have an icon for Active password lock. How it works now, and the only way to change this is go back to a previous version, when the change was made.

  Bookmark saved on the phone screen would be the favicon on your site, you can change Site Properties.

  What about adding site favicon in the home screen, you can add the bookmark of the browser on the screen first and then the browser settings, add bookmark with the site name in the home screen.

  Try a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose anything.

  If a force restart does not help, try a system restore. First save your device via iTunes. Also import your photos on your computer and copy all the important data. Reconstruction of the support first test and test. If this does not help, you may need to restore as a new and reconfigure from scratch as the backup may be damaged.   You can name a bookmark all you want, but when you a site now pressure on the home screen and click on Edit, bookmarks are not always suggested as matches. The only way I can assure you that a referenced site is listed is to add some unique characters for the name of the bookmark that don't arise in the history of this site. Of course, this is taking away total control...
