SmartDVD needs an update on Pavilion dv7 notebook
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 with windows 7 and I just recently tried to play a new blu - ray disc in my drive and every time I do a window pops up asking me if I'd check updates "Yes or no", when I click Yes the window disappears and it seems as if the disc is required to play , but the Update window is displayed again. Y at - it an update which can be downloaded off HP site to avoid this window? I have played all my other blu - ray in this player and have never had a problem before.
Hello
If you use HP MediaSmart DVD to read Blu - ray disc, try the following.
HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution. Download the latest installer for it on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56904.exe
Once the download is complete, open windows control panel, open programs and features, make a right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - when this process is complete, restart the laptop.
When windows has reloaded, open your downloads folder and double-click Setup for PowerDVD 10 start the installation. Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.
Kind regards

Radeon AMD in Pavilion dv7 notebook driver problem
I have a pavilion dv7 notebook and for a few months, I had problems with my graphics driver.
It began with a notice that my license was expired, so I went on the AMD website and tried to install the update. I ran dxdiag to find tool that I use an AMD Radeon HD 6620 G graphics card. I could not find my product on the list to manually install the update, so I tried the Downloader tool from amd driver and he had a problem of recognition of my graphics card. I then tried to update with the help of Support HP and that seemed to work for a while.
Yesterday my screen changed the lowest resolution and a notice came it was not recognizing my graphics driver. Yet once, I tried to update manually from the AMD Web site. When this does not work I downloaded the driver AMD Downloader and after installing everything he said is that "your computer does not contain a correct graphics card" and closed the program.
I am lost at this point uterally, and any help would be greatly apreciated.

AMD does not support the graphics system from HP to address personalized and won't provide any drivers for it. As a general rule, HP does not provide "routine maintenance" updates and usually only releases updates to fix known problems. No sound on HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit Service Pack 1. I have NO sound what so ever! Nothing bings, pings, ringing when I get by e-mail, turn on or off, are updated, errors etc. I can't play music by the window / iTunes, I don't hear any sound on the videos (which also take FOREVER to play... almost as if they are buffering indefinitely). I just tried, made sure nothing is on mute, passed through the control panel and tried to change the sounds. I even tried to make a forum put in place and will parade a test tone when it is in the sound, but I get an error message that says "error!" Unable to play the test tone.
I recently installed a scanner cared (about 2 weeks ago), but honestly don't remember if I had sound for a while before that. Yesterday, I installed a new program from Nikon for a new camera, I got. We have also reinstalled Trend Micro last Friday and have performed a thorough analysis.

Battery for HP Pavilion Dv7 Notebook PC
I have a HP Pavilion Dv7 Notebook PC product ID # 00359-OEM-8992687-00010. It gives me the following message is displayed:
HP battery alert.
The system has detected that the storage capacity of the below battery is very low. For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced.
Main battery (internal) (601).
What replacement battery can I expect, and where can I get one?
Thank you!
Hello
Thanks for the reply.
Your laptop battery is a 8 cells 73Wh 2.55Ah lithium-ion battery that came with a 90W/120W AC adapter.
And the maintenance manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01859666.pdf
A 6 cells 47Wh 2.2Ah Li - ion with the spare part number 486766-001 is that given in the service manual that could be used as a replacement. According to the site Web of HP part surfer (http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=486766-001), it is over supplied.
Go through the procedures Page 6 and 7 Chapter 4 removal and replacement of repair.
The voltage of the battery is the only one to be verified specifically buying a new replacement. Your should be 14.4V.

HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook microphone correct for recording live music
If you are looking for the plug for the microphone - branch for the Pavilion dv7 Notebook intention is to record live Piano.
I tried several microphones, but impedance must not be appropriate as the volume is very low during recording.
Hey Len,
After watching further in your question, you should look into having an adapter for best results.
Something like this: http://www.homebrewedmusic.com/tag/adapter/
Any local music store should have it.

Product name: HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
Product number: B1W89EA #ABU
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
I have made no recent changes.
Problem:
Everything by typing the caret keeps jumping to the top of the screen so that the text I'm in the mid typing eventually disappear to a random position longer than the top of the page, I already typed in the middle of the text.
For a few weeks, I assumed that it was just me slipping, as I only started using the shortcut ctrl + arrow keys to scroll the text easier. However, I am becoming very sure that this is not the case because it happens to average flow by typing quite normal (i.e. not involving not the arrow keys at all!).
I didn't have this laptop last summer, but I'm a finalist uni and REALLY rely on my laptop. I type a lot, and it's really annoying and inconvenient

Hello
If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7. Download the ISO relevant among the links below.
You must use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here. One time created, or if you already have this, typing away at the esc key when you launch Notepad to open the Start Menu. Insert the rescue CD. Select boot options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER. You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.
When loading, select repair your computer and choose the command prompt. When this charge, enter the following commands and press on enter after everyone – including spaces as shown.
Bootrec.exe
bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
c:
Boot CD
BCD attrib s h - r
Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
Bootrec /RebuildBcd
Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot
Remove the rescue CD and try to restart the laptop.

HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC does not play video streaming
Hi-
I have a brand new HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC, Intel (r) Core i7-2630QM CPU, 8 GB, Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, Service Pack 1 64-bit. Beats audio, Radeon graphics card
It does not play Netflix streaming - the screen is dark, even though the video seems to play, and there is no sound.
It does not play videos YouTube - video playback but the sound is off. It goes the same for Megavideo and other streaming services.
On the other hand, he plays the music very well on the native Windows Media Player. I have not tried video on my laptop.
I make me quite frustrated and don't know what to do. Does anyone have an idea if this is a problem of HP, beats, or Windows 7 (or a combination of all three)?
At this point, I am considering doing a restore of the entire system and starting from scratch. Any help is appreciated.
Eihalcon, welcome to the forum.
It seems that you have not installed Adobe Flash Player . At least, I suggest to start with that as a possible solution.
Please let us know if this solved your problem or not.

Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: Code 43 with AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series
Hello forum users HP
NOTE: SORRY I WRITE THIS IN THE BAD ADVICE. ALL "NOTEBOOK TIPS" WERE / IS 'READ ONLY' NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST IT. IT IS THE COUNCIL CLOSER TO YOU, I COULD FIND. AGAIN, I AM SORRY.
I had problems trying to play new games (Maplestory and Minecraft) on my laptop. After trying many problems on the forums of game specific, I came to the conclusion that my video card is what affect my ability to play these games.
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running 64-bit Windows 10.
- Processor Quad-Core AMD Phenom P960
- 4.00 GB ram
- AMD Radeon HD 6300 M series and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series 'graphics cards.
The problem that seems to hinder my ability to load these games is my AMD Radeon HD 6300 m series card. Looking in the Device Manager I see it's a Code 43 error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with windows update. I went on the site of AMD and installed the new beta drivers of Crimson 15.11.1.
I found this post:
http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/381108-33-solved-graphics-error-code
and follow up post mrgooyes (about 4-5 responses down) and again I have no luck.
I thought maybe since I opened my laptop some time ago and didn't eventually plug them into common sense could be considered, but my dad says they're integrated into the motherboard. I'm starting to believe, it is a problem with Windows 10 and alas, I have no possibility of return.
If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to know if there is more information that I would need to post and I will gladly try my best to keep guys updated day.
Thanks in advance for any answer!
ReXound wrote:
I suppose that the link does not work as I thought.
If you go to the link and click on modify in the light blue box under the picture of my laptop, it will allow you to change the OS to windows 7, which is the factory installed OS for my laptop. You will find the driver I posted once you do this.
On another note, my Windows Update has installed some drivers for the cards and their revenue to the original state that they were (code 43). How can I stop windows update install this specific update?
Until you return to the supported o/s there is no real solution to your problem right now.
