I searched the archives for more than an hour and couldn't find anything on this problem...
Since I installed Blackberry App World 3.0, whenever I go to BAW it tells me I have to install a Blackberry identity update, if I say 'no' he throws me and I say 'yes', it takes about 20 minutes, with a full reboot... and then I'll come back an hour later and it me instlal once again...
I am better I installed it at least 50 to 60 times and it's not bad, it STILL requires that I re - install again whenever I click on Blackberry App World. It would be one thing if this installation was fast, but it's not, it requires a complete reboot and rakes anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes.
What is the problem and how to fix it?
Well, I finally understood the problem... when I connect the phone to the Blackberry Desktop Manager and use the Application Loader, it re - install Blackberry OS software, roll back to an earlier version, which requires a reinstallation of the recent Blackberry identity update.
So, the solution is not to use Blackberry Desktop Manager. Solved!
Hello, I bought my first blackberry a few weeks back and so far I'm in love. How ever I have one question that I havn't found another answer anywere so I registered to post on this.
I synchronize my "BOLD" between 2 computers both running Desktop manager 4.7 but they say that the bold is software update required before each synchronization. Danish range of Blackberry messenger update same suggestions. Also both pc suggest different upgrades. At first I ignored it, but then I thought that I click on update, but when I did, he went through the entire course of the upgrade and at the end, said that the "BOLD" had not enough memory for the update
I checked the two "BOLD" memory and SD card for memory card and it said:
Aplication free 18.7 MB of space
The device 857 MB free memory
Map of free memory 1.2 GB of free space
Any ideas? I'm doing something wrong?
No, you don't do anything wrong.
Look at the Options > about, third line down, starting with a 'v.4.xxx '.
Updates are available from other carriers to upgrade your BB. It will work find if you follow the instructions exactly as published in the instructions given in the following link.
Perform a full backup of your device (using the Desktop Manager) before the upgrade process.
Anyone know what is happening, these last 10 + days I have to update my password, even though I haven't changed it. Once I have fix it and save, I get the e-mails, but then I get the dreaded again message... in this case each houirs 2-3. Sprint tells me that it's not them and getting help from RIM is impossible
Thanks for the link, it is easier to do on the PC than on the BB. The screen looks different (of course) than doing it on the BB, but the information that I can access and edit is exactly the same from the link I would do on my BB.
I went through the steps to empty and retype the password and I started to receive my emails again. I'll report tomorrow if that solves the problem or if it is only temporary.
If this isn't a perminate solution I will try to delete the entire account, then set up fresh and see if it works.
Very grateful for your contribution.
I am new to the world of Blackberry and everything was much until I started getting this message every day. It is extremely annoying! Can't some of you please stop.

Since I've updated my Blackberry last night to the latest version (plugged into my computer for the first time since mid-January) I had a problem with my Blackberry browser. He seems to have changed and only use the MediaNET browser now. All I know is that I hated the MediaNET browser in the past, and I loved the Blackberry browser before I updated my phone. I can't put more reuters.com as my home page.
How can I fix this and restore my browser to the way she was before the update?
Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.
To specify the browser you use on your BlackBerry smartphone go to Options > Advanced Options > browser. Under the default browser configuration, select Internet browser.
My phone trashed and I'm not trying to fix it. I have BBM 5 on the work of the OS 6. I want to move to 8 BBM that I had before my phone trashed. App World think I installed 8 so don't upgrade.
How can I to App world upgrade the BBM?
Hello and welcome to the community!
I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application.

could someone help me please? I had updated with last bundle n OS6 did too before backup upgrade. However, after the restoration of all that I just couldn't find the password keeper, to go Word, ppt go n games? Despite all the support forum, I am unable to restore the same, please help me to recover password keeper n other applications.
It's a shame, the guardian of password must be the best app I have and free too! I'm sorry, I can't you then, the only thing I can think of that might be interesting to try help is a downgrade or a security wipe, but I can't really say for sure if this will help you...
Good luck anyway!
I have a blackberry 8310 and I want to update the 18.104.22.168 software so that I can use a 16 GB micro SD card, but whenever I try to update the software, it won't let me upgrade to version 22.214.171.124. Any ideas?
neilschmeil, you're still reading what we write here.
There is no 126.96.36.199 or 188.8.131.52. There is NO such thing.
It IS 184.108.40.206 and this is the latest version available. The 220.127.116.11 version is older and quite honestly I don't remember even the release. I would not recommend chargement.68
Oh, 110 is higher than 68. You look like "one hundred and ten" is more recent than "sixty eight".
Hey guys, is there an updated os for curve 8520?
I installed the v18.104.22.1681 1168 generation that looked like 10-11 months ago. Apparently, the operating system for curve 8520 stops to v5.0. What happened, they stop paying attention to the curves )
What happened, they stop paying attention to the curves )
Sorry, no, RIM continues to pay attention to the 85xx series.
The latest official OS for the 8520 is 22.214.171.1247. The problem IS that your operator Digicel was not paying attention, so blame, place it in the right place would be nice.
Operating system device provided are "released" by specific carriers once that they are certified and trained to their support technicians, but still, you are able to load any carrier the same model by following the instructions below.
See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.
Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.
1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
Note: Some users may be concerned they will void their warranty of device by loading an OS from another carrier. There is really nothing to fear. Please read more information about it here: http://www.port3101.org/power-users/296-blackberry-os-upgrade-including-betas-myths-dispelled.html
This is my first time post, so please forgive me if I do not do this correctly. But I'm trying to understand how to password protect my Blackberry. I Googled it several times, but responses that I find do not seem to be correlated with the phone I have. Any suggestions?
Hi and welcome to the forums!
From the main screen on the Blackberry, go to options, security options, General settings.
Password as active place. You will then be able to set other options for the number of password attempts.
Timeout, security etc. Once escape you the device will ask you enter the new password and verify, then save.
My bb 9700, update himself. After the update, I noticed that something is wrong with my emails. When reading emails, I was pressing "n" to go to the next message. but now when I press on ' no it goes only a message forward, then after pressing on ' not yet once again, it goes back to the previous. If its circles between 2 messages, what happened? How to fix? because I read a lot of emails, is very important for me... I need a hand to solve this problem. Please guide
I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.
1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
(2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.
(1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
(2) remove the battery and wait a minute
(3) replace the battery
(4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.
Please tell us if it works for you.
Since the upgrade to 126.96.36.199, I am unable to play any music on my phones helP!
OK, I'm waiting for an update on your part.
I'm 90% certain that upgrading your BBMessenger wouldn't affect this, but I've seen weirder things happen.
Therefore, if the reset, as I mentioned, does not receive your music playback, to do this:
Use your BlackBerry Messenger feature to back up your contacts, you have now and also do a full backup using the Desktop Manager.
Then, go to Options > Applications and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.
Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.
Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.
After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.
You can restore your contacts from the application of v.5 BBM or from Office Manager > Backup/Restore > advanced.
Anyone know what Blackberry plans to update the maps? The Canada maps are old!
Don't know, RIM usually releases plans like that, but pull most GPS mapping devices of usually course cartographic data bases...

I keep getting an annoying pop up that 'USB port can run faster. This must be an internal port that I get this when no external USB has anything plugged.
I want to do is transfer my installation of Windows on a smaller hard drive while leaving my games on the current hard drive. I would also like to keep my registry so I need to reinstall the programs/games as little as possible. Thank you!
